That day went by fast, and even the next one passed just as quickly. David and Agatha slowly became like old times again, and if anything, even stronger than before. It felt natural, like nothing had ever been broken between them.
Josh and Anita were still hitting it off, but now more as friends. There was something softer about them, something careful. Agatha had spoken to Josh about Anita and warned him not to hurt her, or he would see the worst side of her.
He didn't take it lightly.
"Let the moon cease to shine, let the world stop revolving, and let the earth spit out venom the day I hurt Anita," he had said. "Agatha, I was merely existing when I met her. When I met her, she became my muse, my reason to live. She's my world."
Agatha felt touched by his confession. It was deep, intense… almost too intense. She really hoped he would keep to his word, because if he ever tried anything, she would not hesitate to take him to hell herself.
It was the third day of the vacation.
