David bent slightly, trying to lift her, but the moment Agatha shifted her weight, a sharp, biting pain shot through her ankle. It forced a soft gasp out of her lips, and she instinctively grabbed onto his arm for support.
"Easy… easy," David muttered, his voice tightening with concern.
By then, Anita and Josh had arrived, slightly out of breath from rushing over. Their cheerful energy from earlier had completely vanished, replaced with worry as they took in the scene.
"What happened?" Anita asked quickly, dropping beside Agatha.
"I think she twisted her ankle," David replied, adjusting his grip so she wouldn't have to put pressure on it.
Josh glanced around, already scanning for somewhere she could sit. "Let's get her off the path first."
