Brand's heart skipped a beat.
"Can a young noble not possess these? That could be considered a prejudice."
"Sometimes, you have to admit that prejudice is a form of experience," William laughed, "But it seems these are Your Excellency's secrets, so it's presumptuous of me. I suppose if I apologized, you wouldn't hold it against an old man like me, right?"
This playful remark made Brand chuckle. At least William's approachable manner was several levels above those arrogant Cruz people, although in theory, as the Wizard Leader of the Silver People, he had more reason to look down on the Black Iron People.
