Thomas Fisher did not respond verbally to Alice Turner's earlier complaints, he merely turned his head and gave her a meaningful look that made her skin crawl.
"You..."
"Don't talk now, just sit quietly."
Alice Turner could tell that Thomas Fisher was unhappy with what she had just said. She opened her mouth to explain, but before she could speak, he turned his head to stop her.
The man's face was sullen, seeming very angry. Alice pouted, ultimately lacking the courage to say anything more, swallowing the words she was about to utter.
Is he really angry? Did he get upset over what she just said? Surely, he wasn't that petty?
Alice Turner turned sideways, staring at Thomas Fisher without blinking, hoping to glean something from his expression. But after watching for quite a while, she couldn't figure out whether he was truly angry or just pretending to be.
