Thomas Fisher didn't notice Benjamin Shaw, who had been tailing his car, and Alice Turner had no way of knowing this either. Back in the office, she quickly plunged into work mode.
Once she started working, nothing else caught her attention.
Knock, knock, knock!
Hearing someone knock, Alice Turner tore her gaze away from the computer in front of her and turned to look at the office door. "Come in!"
Thinking it was a colleague looking for her, she called out for them to enter and then directed her attention back to the computer.
Squeak!
The door opened, but for quite a while afterward, Alice Turner didn't hear any greeting from the person entering. She furrowed her brows in confusion and shifted her gaze to see who had walked in.
When she saw who it was, she immediately straightened up.
"Seeing you so flustered, I guess you've done something shameful, haven't you?" Benjamin Shaw walked up to Alice Turner's desk, looking down at her from above.
