Chapter 31 - Chapter 31

Raiga took a deep breath, inhaling the faint fragrance on the other person's body. Without beating around the bush, he spoke directly: "I'm really here to save you. Planet Vegeta will soon be destroyed by Frieza. The reason he's called all the Saiyans back this time is to wipe them out in one go. If we don't escape now, it'll be too late."

"You just lied to me earlier, saying your communicator was broken," Sephilia said.

"It really was broken. I only found out about the recall order after returning to Planet Vegeta, but I knew for certain that Frieza had no good intentions."

Raiga looked at Sephilia seriously and continued, "I was originally planning to transfer you to Earth, but who would have thought you'd refuse? I had no choice but to come here myself."

Hearing this, Sephilia's expression suddenly changed. She stared at Raiga. "So the voice in my mind back then was your doing."

"That's right. If you had agreed at the time, you wouldn't be on Planet Vegeta now."

"You'd better tell me everything you know," she said sternly.

Sephilia gazed at Raiga intently, sensing that her younger brother was hiding a lot from her. But deep down, she was already beginning to believe his words. After all, on her way back to Planet Vegeta, she did hear a voice asking if she wanted to go to Earth. Everything matched what Raiga was saying.

"Actually, I have the ability to foresee the future. A long time ago, I had a premonition that Planet Vegeta would be destroyed..." Raiga naturally didn't reveal the true nature of his abilities and instead fabricated the claim that he had a gift for foresight.

As she listened to Raiga's explanation, Sephilia recalled how he had constantly been trying to leave Planet Vegeta ever since they met. She nodded slightly.

As a warrior, her instincts were sharp. She too had sensed that the atmosphere on Planet Vegeta was different.

Frieza's spaceship had been lingering outside Planet Vegeta for an unusually long time. A leader of a vast army, inexplicably keeping such a close watch on a single high-level planet his forces inhabited? If he were genuinely concerned about his subordinates, no one would believe it.

There was only one answer—Frieza was plotting something.

Could it really be as Raiga said? That Frieza had summoned all the Saiyans to wipe them out?

The relationship between the upper echelons of Saiyan society and Frieza had never been as harmonious as it appeared. Their conflicts were bound to erupt sooner or later. If she were in Frieza's position, eliminating the Saiyan threat preemptively would be the logical choice.

As she thought through the situation, Sephilia's already cold expression became even frostier.

"So, after reaching Planet Mapa, you secretly went to that place called 'Earth' and tried to use its mystical power to take me away?" Her tone softened.

"That's right. But since you refused, I came to get you myself."

"Thank you for remembering me." Sephilia gently placed her hand on Raiga's head and softly expressed her gratitude.

If everything was as Raiga said, then he had no reason to return to Planet Vegeta and risk his life. Yet, he came back—to take her away. Even someone as cold and detached as Sephilia felt a touch of warmth in her heart at that moment.

Raiga was momentarily stunned before breaking into a smile. "You're my sister. Of course, I wouldn't forget you! Say no more. I'm taking you off Planet Vegeta right now. It's too dangerous here. Frieza will make his move today or, at the latest, tomorrow."

"No, I won't run away. As a warrior, if Frieza wants to destroy Planet Vegeta, then I will kill him first," Sephilia declared, shaking her head. Her face turned murderous at the mention of Frieza's name.

"You have no idea how terrifying Frieza truly is. The Saiyans on Planet Vegeta are no match for him," Raiga hurriedly tried to stop Sephilia from pursuing this reckless idea.

"Frieza is indeed powerful, but I can transform into a Great Ape. Elite warriors retain their rationality when they transform. With my power level, I can boost my strength to 50,000 in that form. Even if my movement speed is affected, very few can withstand a full-force attack from me."

Sephilia's voice was full of confidence. In the grand scale of the universe, warriors with even a 1,000 power level were rare. A power level of 50,000 was almost unimaginable.

This was the source of the Saiyan race's confidence in ruling the cosmos.

However, Raiga poured cold water on her determination. "Only those ignorant of true power would be fearless. If you think transforming into a Great Ape is enough to defeat Frieza, you're gravely mistaken. Did you know? Frieza can transform too. No, more accurately, his transformations are a way to regulate his overwhelming power. Because his strength is too immense, he has sealed away his true power with three forms of suppression."

"Don't be fooled by his harmless appearance, lounging in his floating pod all day. In his base form, he already possesses an astonishing 530,000 power level! And if he removes his restrictions, his power will increase dramatically."

"530,000?!"

Sephilia's expression froze, her pupils contracting sharply. She fell into silence for a moment, but still stubbornly said, "Even if he's that strong, I will not back down. Saiyans will never surrender!"

"This lunatic! She knows she'll lose, yet she still insists on pointless sacrifice?" Raiga was at a loss for words. He wanted to pry open her head and see what was inside.

"A lunatic? Perhaps. We Saiyans work for Frieza, clearing planets for him. If we are one day exterminated, it is simply karma." Sephilia smiled faintly, bringing her face close to Raiga's. "If you have a way to leave Planet Vegeta, do it now. There's no need to stay and take this risk. Take care of yourself."

With that, Sephilia pulled Raiga into a tight embrace. Then, summoning her energy, she shot into the sky with a "whoosh," breaking through the air as she sped toward the royal palace. In an instant, she vanished from Raiga's sight.

Raiga watched Sephilia's disappearing figure and gritted his teeth in frustration. "Damn it! If you die, my whole trip here will have been for nothing!"

Clenching his fists, he took a deep breath and then shot into the sky, chasing after Sephilia.

...

Inside Frieza's spaceship in outer space, the yellow-skinned alien Kikono approached Frieza. "Lord Frieza, the time you set has arrived."

"Hohoho, I suppose it's time to say goodbye to those pesky Saiyan monkeys. To be honest, I almost feel reluctant," Frieza chuckled. Then, his crimson eyes snapped open. His tail swayed slightly as his small floating pod rose, carrying him out into the vastness of space.

The deep and frigid expanse of outer space was painted in a dark red hue, exuding a heavy, deathly stillness. Only a few meteors occasionally streaked across the void.

Suspended above his massive warship, Frieza gazed down at Planet Vegeta with a chilling smile...
