Chapter 417: Encountering a Spatial Storm, The Pavilion Master's Intentions!

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, nine days had passed.

The journey had been rather monotonous, though only two people were truly suffering from boredom one was Zi Yan, who was already restless by nature and was now even more so as she munched on her candy like pills on the deck.

The other was Xin Lan, who felt completely out of place.

Xin Lan had always struggled with self doubt, knowing she couldn't compare to the others. Because of this, she hardly spoke with Zi Yan.

And watching Zi Yan casually toss three and four tier pills into her mouth like snacks made her heart ache. Even her family couldn't afford to raise someone like this it was practically eating money!

Boom!

Just then, the ship trembled violently.

Xin Lan quickly looked around in alarm, while Zi Yan simply grumbled in frustration.

"Hmph! You guys don't want to include me, fine! But making such a commotion just wait, you annoying jerk! I'll deal with you later!"

"No, Zi Yan, look ahead!"

Hearing Xin Lan's panicked voice, Zi Yan turned toward the front of the passage.

The walls of the space tunnel on either side had changed.

The once solid spatial barriers had begun fading, becoming so thin that one could glimpse the endless darkness beyond.

"What… is happening?"

"This must be an external force disrupting the balance of space!" Xin Lan muttered in a serious tone.

"Who cares? That annoying jerk is with us nothing bad will happen." Zi Yan waved her hand nonchalantly.

"Mm! Even if it's a spatial storm, as long as Brother Wu Tian is here, we'll get out of it quickly." Xin Lan nodded in agreement, once again realizing the terrifying strength of a Dou Zun expert.

"I'll keep watch outside. You two should go inside and rest."

A voice drifted from inside the cabin it was Xiao Yi Xian, her face glowing with warmth.

Zi Yan pouted. "Fine, I'll go punish that annoying jerk now!"

Xin Lan hesitated. Should she really go inside?

What if… what if…?

If something happened, wouldn't this be a once in a lifetime opportunity?

Maybe… just maybe…

Lost in her thoughts, Xin Lan didn't notice Xiao Yi Xian's knowing smile as she gently said, "Xin Lan, little sister, you should go rest for a while. Training outside all the time isn't good for you."

"…Oh."

Xin Lan nodded timidly and walked into the cabin, her heart pounding wildly.

However, what greeted her inside wasn't some embarrassing scene.

Wu Tian and Medusa were simply sitting across from each other, sipping tea gracefully. Zi Yan, on the other hand, had already jumped onto Wu Tian's lap, playfully wrestling with him.

Cai Lin's beautiful eyes glowed softly as she nodded kindly at Xin Lan.

Feeling awkward, Xin Lan sat down stiffly. Being in front of Queen Medusa, a true Dou Zong expert, made her feel extremely uncomfortable.

Sensing the awkwardness, Cai Lin changed the subject.

"Xin Lan, little sister, do you know the exact destination of this spatial wormhole?"

Xin Lan's expression shifted slightly.

"The endpoint is…"

Whoosh

A sudden, howling wind roared from outside, making Xin Lan's face pale instantly.

"This is bad a spatial storm!"

Wu Tian and the others immediately stepped out of the cabin, gazing at the scene before them.

A colossal silver storm had formed in the dim silver space ahead.

It had completely blocked the exit of the tunnel, causing the spatial ship to tremble violently, swaying like a ship caught in a hurricane.

"A spatial storm…"

The unfamiliar sight made everyone tense slightly.

However, none of them showed any fear because standing right beside them was someone who could control space itself.

"So this is a spatial storm?"

Medusa's narrow, enchanting eyes gazed at the swirling chaos, her red lips curving into a seductive smile.

"A terrifying scene… but also quite beautiful."

If anyone else heard her say this, they would probably faint in shock.

A spatial storm beautiful?!

Cai Lin had always had an exceptional sense of aesthetics. Following her lead, the other women also began admiring the storm like it was some rare scenic attraction.

Wu Tian's gaze remained fixed on the gigantic silver vortex, his voice calm yet firm.

"Hold on tight. The exit is just ahead we're going through."

As soon as the ship entered the storm's vortex, it began shaking violently. However, it was an exceptionally well crafted ship.

No matter how fierce the tremors, it showed no signs of damage, proving that it was a high tier spatial ship possibly even a third tier one.

The ship was like a lonely vessel lost in a boundless sea, navigating through the chaos and solitude of space.

Wu Tian's eyes darkened this spatial storm was far more powerful than he had expected.

Even with his current strength, he could feel the overwhelming force within it.

Raising his hands, crimson flames erupted from his body, forming a blazing red energy barrier that enveloped the ship.

Beyond the barrier, silver lightning like flashes flickered constantly, creating a stunning yet deadly display.

But despite the beauty, danger loomed this wasn't ordinary spatial energy.

This was raw, untamed power born from space itself!

For the first time, Wu Tian found himself struggling.

His greatest challenge wasn't a person it was this storm.

The ship rushed forward, and soon, a silver glowing exit appeared in the distance!

However

BOOM!

The storm suddenly intensified, forming a gigantic force that struck Wu Tian's protective barrier like a raging serpent!

Though the attack didn't shatter the barrier, it slightly altered the ship's course.

In an instant, the ship disappeared into the silver passage…

All that remained was the roaring spatial storm, continuing to churn in the darkness.

Back in Tianya City, Luo Cheng stared blankly at the damaged spatial wormhole, unable to believe what he was seeing.

"A Dou Zun… actually managed to break the wormhole?!"

Who would believe that wasn't intentional?!

Luo Cheng's eyes flickered with understanding.

Ah… so that's it.

The Pavilion Master clearly didn't want anyone else using this wormhole to travel to the Central Plains.

And the reason?

His wives.

Luo Cheng sighed deeply.

"Our Pavilion Master is truly thoughtful… he cares for his women too much."

"Old man, you know nothing. You saw nothing. You will do… nothing."

Luo Cheng rubbed his forehead tiredly before making his final decision.

"…It seems that until the Pavilion Master returns, this wormhole shall remain… unusable."

Luo Cheng sighed dramatically.

"Ah, how unfortunate! I… have fallen ill. I… can no longer repair the wormhole."
