Chapter 418: Han Yue's Sister, Han Xue in Danger, Ten Thousand Serpent Gorge in the Northern Region of the Central Plains

The desolate desert road stretched endlessly, with winds howling and carrying waves of sand into the distance. The scenery was barren, and at the far end of the road, tiny black specks gradually appeared.

As the distance shortened, it became clear that these specks were a caravan, tightly guarded by over a hundred stern faced escorts. Their vigilant eyes constantly scanned the surroundings, hands gripping their weapons tightly clear evidence of their wariness.

This desert marked the outer edge of the Northern Region of the Central Plains, where human figures were rare. Occasionally, a lone traveler might appear, only to vanish in the blink of an eye.

Aside from the hoofbeats of the caravan's horses, the only other sound was the occasional cry of eagles soaring above.

Inside the most luxurious carriage at the center, a stunning woman peeked out, scanning the landscape with a solemn expression.

Ahead lay a terrifying place Ten Thousand Serpent Gorge!

A dreadful demonic serpent named Xia Mang resided there, a creature who had just recently ascended to the Dou Huang level.

Even peak Dou Huang experts avoided fighting him because as a serpent, he could command every four star and lower ranked venomous snake within the gorge!

For years, he had ruled this passage, forcing every caravan to pay a toll in order to pass.

However, Xia Mang was a creature of habit as long as one paid the price, he would let them through.

If not, the alternative was offering a woman instead.

He never bothered stopping lone travelers those people were usually too poor to be worth robbing.

Xia Mang was originally a sixth rank magical beast, but after consuming a Beast Transformation Pill, he ended up in a grotesque half human, half serpent state.

Because of his notorious reputation, the entire caravan was on edge.

Beside the leading carriage, a middle aged man who looked like a steward turned to his lady and cautioned:

"Miss, we're approaching Ten Thousand Serpent Gorge. Please stay inside the carriage. If they see you, getting through will be much harder."

Hearing this, the young lady nodded slightly. She was well aware of her beauty if that lecherous Xia Mang caught sight of her, they would be in serious trouble.

"Understood, Han Chong."

After another ten minutes of travel, a towering mountain peak rose in the distance.

At its center, a massive, canyon like fissure split the land in two.

This was Ten Thousand Serpent Gorge.

"Everyone, stay alert! Keep spreading snake repellent powder along the way. The snakes here are Xia Mang's spies. As long as we don't disturb them, we should be able to pass through safely."

"If we get caught, do not attack without orders anyone who disobeys will be punished under family law!"

Han Chong's voice was firm as he issued the order.

"Yes!"

"Move out!"

Under his command, the caravan cautiously entered the treacherous canyon…

But the moment they ventured inside, the ground trembled violently!

Boom!

Massive trees along the cliffs collapsed, revealing the shadows of enormous serpentine bodies coiling within.

"Damn it! We've been discovered move quickly!"

Han Chong gritted his teeth and barked the command.

But it was too late.

Before them, a dense horde of snakes had already appeared.

Boom!

Massive vipers lunged out of the darkness, their glowing, sinister eyes locking onto the caravan.

"Damn it… we're in trouble."

Han Chong's face turned grim.

Xia Mang would surely sense their lady's presence and when he did, that lecherous serpent would undoubtedly try to…

"Jie jie jie~ A bunch of fools! Did you really think you could sneak past me, Xia Mang? How utterly foolish!"

A hoarse and eerie laughter echoed through the canyon, and a green streak of light shot through the sky.

A shadow descended above the caravan a grotesque figure, covered in dark green scales, with a serpent's head atop a humanoid body.

A true monster.

His sinister, slit like pupils gleamed coldly as he scanned the caravan, a cruel grin creeping across his face.

"The Demon Serpent… Xia Mang!"

"You should know the rules by now," Xia Mang sneered.

Han Chong's fingers trembled slightly as he retrieved a crystal card from the caravan, bowing respectfully.

"We understand Lord Xia Mang's rules. We are a caravan of the Han Family from Tianbei City. Please accept this small token of appreciation."

Xia Mang took the crystal card, glanced at it, and smirked.

"Not bad, not bad! You have a respectable attitude."

Han Chong sighed in relief.

"So then, may we pass?"

"Of course! I, Xia Mang, always keep my word."

Xia Mang waved his hand dismissively.

However, his forked tongue flicked out, licking his lips as his eyes fixated on the carriage with unbridled lust.

"…But… I want whoever's inside that carriage."

The entire caravan froze many immediately tightened their grip on their weapons.

"Lord Xia Mang, what do you mean by that?" Han Chong's face turned deathly pale.

"Jie jie jie~ No use hiding, little lady! I can smell a woman from a mile away… and this scent is exquisite. You must be a rare beauty! Jie jie jie~~~"

Xia Mang's eerie laughter reverberated through the gorge.

Boom!

Suddenly, the roof of the carriage exploded, and a figure leaped into the air, landing gracefully atop the vehicle.

Her gaze was ice cold as she glared at Xia Mang.

"Jie jie~ Just as I expected! An absolute beauty!"

Xia Mang's snake like eyes gleamed with perverse delight, and he let out a sinister chuckle.

However, the woman's gaze flashed with killing intent.

Clutching a chilling longsword, she unleashed a surge of cold energy.

Her Dou Qi Wings burst open as she shot toward Xia Mang like an arrow!

At the highest peak of Ten Thousand Serpent Gorge, several figures appeared silently.

"Hmm? Where are we?" Xin Lan looked around, confused.

"That spatial storm knocked us off course. I have no idea where we are either." Wu Tian's expression remained completely calm.

"Wait! There's a fight happening below!" Zi Yan exclaimed, sensing the clash of Dou Qi.

"Eh? That woman… she looks just like Han Yue!" Xiao Yi Xian said in surprise.

"That's because she is Han Yue's younger sister Han Xue," Cai Lin said, glancing at Wu Tian with a knowing look.

Wu Tian smacked his lips.

Was this really just a coincidence?

They had somehow landed at Han Yue's home…

If he had known this would happen, he would've brought Han Yue along!

"Well… looks like we arrived just in time."
