Wan Mo's head was blank.
His heart beat accelerated; he looked at Zong Yi, really looked at him.
Zong yi's mouth opened forming the words "I'm sorry" because he came in without knocking, but he immediately snapped it shut when he realised something. This Wan Mo isn't female. His eyes narrowed, the look in his eyes was a mixture of confusion and anger?.
Wan Mo dropped the towel he was using to dry his hair.
"Z-Zong Yi... You're here" wan Mo sighed softly. "I can explain".
Zong Yi didn't say anything.
"Please let me explain, I didn't mean to d-" Wan Mo continued but was cut short by Zong Yi's chuckle.
"Greed, you cross dressed because of greed, you're a deceiving liar!, you're disgusting!".
Wan Mo's eyes widened, Zong Yi said his piece, threw the package he held in his hand earlier and left. Wan Mo hurriedly put on a shirt and went after him. "Zong Yi, I know you're angry but please let me explain, I didn't mean to lie to you guys, you have every right to be angry, just give me a chance to explain".
Zong Yi slammed the entrance door and drove off, Wan Mo stopped at the garage, his chest heaving from running after Zong Yi.
Wan Mo was scared and he felt extremely guilty.
Wan Mo: Zong Yi will come around, he's just mad at me, it's my fault, I deceived him, I'll apologise, I'm sorry, he'll come around.
Wan Mo tried to convince himself, after all Zong Yi knew about moonlight, Wan Mo's organisation. Their friendship wasn't shallow, he must be hurt because I couldn't trust him with my secret.
Wan Mo went back to his room, he didn't know what to do, who to tell, he just looked at his phone's contacts, no one..
His hand tapped on a contact icon, two rings and the call was answered.
"What is it this time princess, missing me already??"
"He knows" Wan Mo said softly. The person at the other end furrowed his brows.
"Who..knows? Wan wan are you okay? I'll fly over ju_"
"No, you have work don't you?, it's my childhood friend, Zong Yi, he knows.. I'm...confused".
San Yi Han's gaze darkened several degrees
"Should I erase him?" San Yi Han asked, dead serious.
"What? No! I bet he's mad at me because I have been lying to them, all of my friends and family.." Wan Mo sighed "I'm just...tired, I don't know how to face him, he's just angry, he's not a bad person".
"You should have let me kill those kids" San Yi Han said with a scowl.
"Yi Han!" Wan Mo got pissed off, yup, he forgot this person was always like this.
Wan Mo was ashamed of himself.
Didn't he promise the Zong twins revenge?
Yet he's on a call with the supposed enemy.
" Wan Mo, just remember, it's not your fault, okay? You only tried to protect yourself and did what you can do."
" Thanks, bye" Wan Mo ended the call and was weary, his heart was troubled, his mind system was quiet.
Wan Mo: I'm such an idiot. Not only am I a cheat, and liar but I'm also a betrayal. Didn't I promise the Zong twins revenge, while I went behind their backs to be friends with their enemy. They would never forgive me; I'm friends with the person who erased their family; I never learn, I'm friends with the man the Andersons cherished over and compared to Felix.
Wan Mo tried to reach Zong Yi, but Zong Yi blocked him everywhere.
Wan Mo went to the Zong twins suite house, he knocked on the door, Zong Yi opened it, both twins were present and they were not smiling.
Zong Xi sneered.
" You dare show your face to us" Zong Yi said.
Wan Mo came in male outfits, as Wan Mo.
" Zong Yi, Zong Xi, I'm so sorry, pl-" Zong Xi cut him short.
" I'm changing managers, I don't want you managing me. You'll soil my reputation ".
" Zong Xi..." Wan Mo called, a bit stunned and a look of understanding flashed through his eyes. "I understand you guys are mad at me but please let me-".
Zong Yi scoffed, his eyes filled with hatred and disgust, he liked this person all his life only to figure out he's a guy. "Everyone will hear of this, does Jiuran know? Your family? Maybe your parents know", Wan Mo's silence confirmed his suspicion.
"You're disgusting, I pity the poor Jiuran and the Innocent Han family".
Before Wan Mo could say a word, Zong Xi shoved a document at his face.
" Deed of release" written boldly on the document.
"Sign it. Or this gets to Star entertainment's executives" she scoffed. "You know what would happen".
Wan Mo felt a pang in his chest, he didn't think things would come to this, is this karma for what he did to the Anderson's? Is this karma for what he did behind their backs? He could sign the paper and let her go, but Zong Yi, Zong Yi would still expose his identity wouldn't he?
Wan Mo looked at the Zong twins, pain, hurt, and regret in his heart, they were good people.
"I promise I didn't mean to deceive you guys, my mom.." Wan Mo paused, of course his mom started it, before he knew his left and right, he had been tagged as female; but what about after he knew his left and right, why didn't he stop? Why didn't he expose Meng Qi? It's true it's because of his greed, he wanted the love, the care and the look in his grandparents eyes...he felt loved, spoilt, pampered and maybe he wanted validation from his parents, before he realised Meng Qi didn't care about him, he had gone far and he was scared, too scared of this particular moment and what is to come.
Wan Mo held the document, his face pale from overthinking, worry, shame and guilt.
