Getting into Malfoy Manor was easy when you had a cloak that was invisible to people and wards, so all he had to do was walk up to the front door and walk in. I mean, why bother locking the door when you have wards keeping people away, right?
He found Malfoy in his study, dealing with the paperwork from his various businesses. He didn't look very torn up about his recently deceased son, Logan noticed, not like his wife, who was upstairs crying her eyes out.
There was something odd about how Malfoy Jr. died. Logan knew how to leave someone half-dead so that they would be able to heal by themselves afterwards, even with or without magic, so when he suddenly died after Malfoy Senior had visited him, Logan found it kind of suspicious that Malfoy had also started taking steps to take over Hogwarts even before his son was in the ground.
Removing the invisibility cloak, Logan waited for Malfoy to notice that he was there, but when he just continued working, that's when he started getting bored and loudly cleared his throat to get his attention.
Malfoy was clearly surprised to see Logan, the now most-wanted man in the magical world and the so-called murderer of his son.
"Wha-?!" he exclaimed in surprise as he tried to pull up his wand and fire a spell at Logan, who just batted it aside and then flicked his hand, pushing Malfoy violently against the back wall with some wandless magic.
Malfoy had dropped his wand when Logan forced him back, so Logan summoned it from the ground and then snapped it when he saw that Malfoy was facing him with clear eyes, enjoying the pained look he had when he saw that he had just lost his best chance at escaping from Logan.
Throwing the broken stick aside, Logan then turned back to Malfoy, who now seemed resigned to his fate.
"Haah, what do you want, Mr. White? You killed my son, and now have you come to kill me as well?" Malfoy tried to taunt Logan.
"Oh, come on~, we both know I didn't kill your son, but I do have the feeling you have an idea who does." Logan said before he brainwashed Malfoy with the Imperio curse, putting him under his complete control.
"Malfoy, why don't you satisfy my curiosity? Who killed your son?" Logan asked after he let Malfoy fall to the floor, seeing as he had no reason to keep him against the wall anymore.
"I don't have a son," Malfoy answered as he stared dumbly into empty space, the Unforgivable Curse doing its job.
Logan was confused, but it seemed the woman who had just gasped behind the cracked-open door did know what he meant. Logan decided to pretend that she wasn't there so that he could see what would happen next. He needed a bit more excitement in his life, after all, and drama like this didn't fall in your lap every day.
"Alright then, who killed Draco? I'm certain I made sure to only teach him a lesson that he wouldn't forget. It certainly helped me when I was younger. Dad giving me a slap on the back of my head every so often was just good character building... Why the hell am I telling you this?" Malfoy was about to open his mouth to speak before Logan cut him off.
"Never mind, just tell me who killed Draco?" Logan asked again, quickly moving past the fact that he had gotten sucked too deeply into his memories.
Malfoy didn't hesitate to speak with how strong of a control Logan had over him.
"I did."
Logan was going to ask why when the woman hiding behind the door rushed into the room with a whirlwind of rage following behind her. It was Narcissa Malfoy. Her hair was all over the place, her eyes red from crying, and she had also just fired what looked like a castration curse at Malfoy's family jewels.
She was going to continue, but Logan stepped in and restrained her before she could kill him. He still needed to find the diary Horcruxes, after all. He would let her kill him after that.
"Calm down! I still need him alive!" Logan shouted at the enraged mother who was trying to get at Malfoy, who was bleeding heavily from his crotch and moaning in pain on the ground. Even under a curse that dulled his pain, he still felt everything that was happening to him.
"He killed my son! He needs to die!" she screamed, clawing at him with her long nails, not caring when her nails broke against his skin, making her fingers bleed where the nails broke off.
"And he will. I just need to get something from him first, and then he's all yours!" Logan said, calming her down almost instantly when she heard that Logan wouldn't try and stop her from killing Malfoy.
"Alright, I'll let you go now. Don't do anything stupid, and I might even help you out. Okay?"
She didn't say anything, but she did nod her head, so Logan let her go. They slowly separated, and she pulled her dishevelled clothes tighter around herself, holding herself with a new, calm rage coming over her.
"Alright, I'll wait," she said as she stared daggers at Malfoy, who looked like he was about to die from blood loss.
Logan nodded to her and looked at Malfoy. He then waved his hand over Malfoy and made it so he wouldn't die from losing all his blood. He didn't bother to reattach the bloody, unspeakable thing that dropped out of his trouser leg after he forced Malfoy to stand up.
Seeing that, Logan grabbed his own privates in second-hand horror, as if that had happened to him. He looked over to Narcissa to see what she thought of what she had done to Malfoy, and she seemed almost proud of what she had done, with what Logan thought was satisfaction on her face.
"Alright, Malfoy, take me to the diary that Voldemort had you keep a hold of," Logan commanded, using the Imperio curse connection that had been made between them to force him to do what he said. Malfoy slowly limped out of the room, the pair following after him, leaving the unspeakable thing behind in the office, never to mention it again.
"So... what did he mean when he said that Draco wasn't his son?" Logan asked Narcissa as they were led through the manor. She seemed hesitant to speak, but she seemed to change her mind when she looked up and at the situation they were in. It didn't really matter if Logan knew the truth.
"He's impotent. He needed an heir but couldn't have one himself, so he found a Muggle that was almost his doppelganger... He forced that man on me using the Imperio curse. I got pregnant, and he then killed that man."
She was almost in tears again when she started speaking of Draco's real father, of how Malfoy forced her to be raped and have a child from it.
They were both silent after that, even when Malfoy brought out a black diary from where he had hidden it. Logan looked it over and saw that it had Tom Riddle's name on the cover, confirming that it was the real thing. He turned back to Narcissa, who was looking at the diary with recognition.
"Alright, I've got what I need. You can do what you want with him," Logan said to Narcissa as he walked out of the room that the book was hidden in, leaving her with a very weak and defenceless Malfoy.
He wouldn't want to be in his place right now.
...
Standing outside of the room that Logan had left Narcissa and Malfoy in, he listened in as he heard Narcissa cast curse after curse on Malfoy. He heard mostly the torture curse and other such pain-inflicting curses. Around ten minutes later, Narcissa came out of the room slightly bloody, though Logan was sure that none of that blood was hers.
She looked a bit shell-shocked and out of it, so much so that she didn't seem to notice Logan when he directed her over to a bench in the corridor. He left her there staring into space as he went to look back in the room to see just exactly what she had done to Malfoy.
Looking at the mutilated body that was missing its toes and fingers, Logan thought that he could see his head sitting by itself in the corner. Narcissa had used a Transfiguration spell to turn the ground into a certain huge phallic member that the blood-dripping body was impaled on top of. Logan could only make a promise to himself not to upset a woman so much that she reached the same point that Narcissa did with Malfoy.
"Narcissa~, hey~, Narcissa~, are you in there?" Logan called out to her softly, making her look up at him with a blank look.
"What is it?" Her voice was dead and flat, without any emotion, emotionally drained from the recent events.
"As the Lord of the Black Family, I, Logan Damian White-Black, annul your marriage to Lucius Malfoy, effective immediately. You are now once again a Black."
And as if on cue, the white streak in her hair turned back to black. Magic was reacting to his words and carrying out his orders. Her hair was just an indication of that.
Narcissa was clearly shocked that Logan was actually the Lord of her family, so much so that her mouth hung open and her past emotionless state was like it had never existed.
"Now come on, I'll take you to your sister so she can take care of you, and don't worry about Malfoy, I'll take care of him," Logan told her before he Apparated them both to her sister, Andromeda Tonks' home.
Seconds after they left the manor, it was set on fire, burning everything inside to ashes.
...
"Hello, Nagini. No need to hide, I know you're there," Logan called out in Parseltongue. Shortly after, a python snake slithered out of the undergrowth. They were in a forest in the Alps of Albania, the same place Voldemort was hiding before he possessed the back of Professor Quirrell's head and infiltrated Hogwarts.
"A speaker? How do you know my name?" Nagini asked as she raised her head up so that she was more eye-level with Logan.
"I know your history and about the little blood curse you are having an issue with. If you help me, I'll help you regain a human form and even give you a home. No more surviving out here. What do you say?" Logan asked her.
Nagini looked like she was contemplating her choice, but even though he was a Parseltongue, it was hard for Logan to tell her facial expressions.
After a minute, it seemed that she had come to a decision. Looking Logan in his eyes, she hissed her answer.
...
"Quickly! The unicorn's blood, before you die! You fool!" Voldemort hissed to Quirrell from the back of his head, Voldemort's face twisting and making it misshapen and deformed. Said blood that Quirrell was about to drink was the only thing keeping him, and by extension Voldemort, alive, directly from its source.
The creature that Quirrell was about to drink the blood from was that of a Unicorn. It was amazing that he had even caught it in the first place, since Unicorns could outrun Werewolves quite easily.
But he didn't really catch the Unicorn. No, it seemed that he had just crippled it so badly that it couldn't run and was now bleeding out alive, defenceless.
"Fool! Behind you!" Voldemort screamed at Quirrell, but it was too late for them both. Before he could even turn around, Logan had stunned them both.
Putting the invisibility cloak back in his bag, Logan walked over to the fallen body, the very same one that contained two souls. Logan could separate them without any pain, but he didn't really feel like helping Quirrell, so he just used the man's blood to paint a seal on his body that would prevent Voldemort from leaving his body as a spirit.
After letting Dobby take away Quirrell-mort, he looked to the fearful Unicorn that was breathing heavily and making weak attempts at trying to stand up, but she was too weak to stand. Logan felt the same pity that he felt for the pale Dragon that was used as a guard in the bottom of Gringotts.
So, getting out his bag of Dementor dust, Logan used a spell to sense the Unicorn's soul. He felt that it was getting weaker, so he quickly used the dust, infusing it within the Unicorn's body as closely to the soul as he could. After that, he used another spell that let him move the soul slightly while it was still in the Unicorn's body and moved it into the Dementor dust, so that when Logan turned it into a tattoo, it wouldn't become lifeless and would stop the soul from passing on.
Logan only did it this way because he couldn't bear to kill the animal. It was such a pure creature that even he was against hurting it. It really just went to show what a twisted thing Voldemort had become from splitting his soul so many times, or maybe he was always like that and the soul-splitting just released all that he was holding back from acting on his impulses. But it was unlikely that anyone would ever find out with what Logan had planned for him.
Turning the Unicorn into a tattoo was simple after that. Logan quickly summoned the Unicorn right after he did to see how it turned out, and it was now all healed up and wasn't fearful of him anymore. After all, why would someone be afraid of their own home? And that was what Logan was to it now. It was instinctive for the Unicorn to trust Logan, so Logan got to break his new tattoo in by going for a ride on the Unicorn.
...
In front of Logan was a table with an assortment of different items: a yellow rubber ducky, a twisted metal spoon, a black diary, a cracked old bowl, and finally, a rusted necklace. Sitting at the table was an unconscious Quirrell-mort.
The bowl was now a Horcrux because Logan had transferred the shard that was once in Nagini into it. The bowl was one that the elves had brought over from the Room of Requirement.
Transferring the soul from Nagini was simple once he had identified which soul in her body was hers and which was Voldemort's. She was much happier now that she wasn't under the soul shard's influence. In fact, she was draped over Logan's neck and occasionally asking him questions about things that she didn't know about. After all, being isolated in a forest can do that to you.
The rusted necklace was also a Horcrux now. Its soul shard had come from the cup that Helga Hufflepuff had made. Regarding the cup, one of its abilities that Logan had identified was that it could increase the effectiveness of potions that you drank from it. The elf that was whizzing around the place like he was on cocaine was testament to that when Logan had only given him a Pepper-Up Potion that was only meant to warm you up and make you more alert.
"All I need now is to get Harry, remove the Horcruxes from his scar, and then get him to destroy all these Horcruxes before finally killing Quirrell-mort so that the prophecy comes true. I bet I'm the 'Power He Knows Not' in this situation. Harry's great power of being friends with me."
Logan said to himself before Apparating away with Nagini around his neck, still to go and find Harry so that he could finally put Voldemort behind him for good.
...
"Why is one a rubber ducky?" Harry asked Logan as he looked at the table that held all the Horcruxes on top of it. Harry now had a white bandage wrapped around his forehead from when Logan had to cut out the soul shard that was trapped underneath it. They had already destroyed that piece with the sword that Logan got from the Sorting Hat. That same sword was now in Harry's hand.
"It was just something I picked at random that I wouldn't mind destroying," Logan explained. "Now, just like before, you will destroy the Horcruxes and I'll protect you from the backlash, so don't worry and swing away."
Logan smiled at Harry, who nodded his head to Logan and raised the sword up before bringing it down on the rubber ducky, slicing it into two pieces, which made a cloud of black smoke with a screaming face rise up from where it was cut.
Logan lifted his hand at the exact moment that Harry cut it in half, putting up a shield to protect them both. They then repeated this same process with the diary, spoon, necklace, and also the bowl. All that was left was to kill Voldemort's wraith that was still unconscious in the back of Quirrell's bald head.
"Well done, Harry. Now you just need to cut off Quirrell-mort's head and he'll be dead for good. No more coming back to life after ten years." Logan tried to encourage Harry, but he could tell that he was having a hard time with the concept of taking a life. Logan was honestly fine with that. It just meant that he was a normal person. Not everyone could value life as little as he did. He was just extra special that way.
"Harry, I'm sorry about this. I hope you know I am, but you don't have a choice, and I'm sorry for what I'm forced to do," Logan said as he stepped closer to Harry.
Harry looked confused at what Logan said.
"Sorry for wha—"
He started before Logan ended it by grabbing his hand that was holding the sword and swinging it through Quirrell's neck, killing him and Voldemort without any pain.
Right after that, Quirrell's body started disintegrating into black particles that looked like burnt paper. They rose into the air, where they slowly disappeared into nothingness, just like what happened to Voldemort in the last Harry Potter movie.
"Sorry for that. Don't worry, Harry, I'm going to make it up to you," Logan said as he took back the sword from the shell-shocked first year and patted him on the shoulder. "You can just think of me as the one that killed them. After all, I did force your hand," Logan said, trying to lessen his guilt.
"What are you going to do?" Harry asked curiously, wiping at the tears that were starting to build up in his eyes. Logan could see his pet snake talking to him from inside his collar and Harry saying that he was alright in response. The snake was probably trying to calm him down, but that also meant that Harry kept his Parseltongue even after having the Horcrux removed.
"Get you a Godfather to take care of you. But first, I need to do some rat hunting!" Logan exclaimed loudly before Apparating them away, with Nagini around his neck and by grabbing Harry by his shoulder.
...
"Why are we waiting for Harry Potter again?" a bored-looking man asked a weirdly dressed woman who had a notepad and quill with a long feather floating beside her head. They were in the centre of the Ministry, next to the fountain.
"Because he said that he would be bringing with him a big scoop. I might be able to actually report some actual news, not the usual rubbish that I have to write about," the news reporter with weird taste in fashion said to the man that had an old-fashioned camera on his shoulder.
It was a couple of minutes later when the man was about to once again complain. The Floo lit up with bright green flames, and out tumbled a ruffled-up Harry from the journey over, and a knocked-out Peter Pettigrew that Harry then used a Levitation spell on so that he could move him over to the pair that he saw near the fountain. They were just like Logan had described them.
"Hello, I'm Harry Potter. Oh, and this is Peter Pettigrew. He framed my Godfather, Sirius Black, and then faked his death to get away with it," Harry explained to the shocked pair.
The woman quickly told the man to contact the Aurors while she started questioning Harry about how he found Pettigrew and also captured him. Harry was glad that Logan had coached him on what to say and do when the reporter suddenly started firing off questions.
...
It took some time for Sirius to finally be released, but with the pressure from the people supporting Harry after the news had been released, the Minister had no choice but to finally give him a trial and then let him go free.
Harry was waiting alone on the dock that boats from the prison Azkaban would be coming into after leaving the dreary place. Slowly, a small boat with three people in it came towards him: one Auror, a boatman, and finally Sirius Black, Harry's Godfather.
Harry was actually quite excited to meet the man. After what Logan had told him about the man, it honestly sounded like he would be able to have a family member in his life that actually cared about him, and he would be able to hear stories about his parents as well.
When the boat got alongside the dock, you could see the light in Sirius' eyes rekindle with a vengeance as he saw Harry. Leaping out of the boat as soon as it got close enough, Sirius ran up to Harry and looked him over closely before he then gave him a giant hug that surprised Harry with how strong it was. He had just come from probably the worst prison on the planet. You would think that he would be extremely weak from abuse.
"Oh, you look just like your father, Harry, but your eyes, those are all your mum's." Sirius smiled as he separated from Harry shortly.
He hugged Harry right after that, though. With how starved for attention he was, Harry wasn't surprised by how much Sirius was hugging him, and he wouldn't be afraid to admit that it felt nice... even if he did smell quite a bit. Sirius seriously needed a bath.
...
"So this is the world-famous Sirius Black... I thought you would be taller," Logan said after Harry and Sirius had stepped through the Floo together into the Black family home.
Sirius gave Logan the stink eye at his comment.
"Well, we can't all be giants like you, can we?" Sirius said with a snarky tone that just made Logan grin, which surprised Sirius when he saw Logan's shark teeth. He was even more surprised when Logan started letting out a bellowing laugh, which also let him see Logan's forked tongue, unnerving him with how unnatural it was.
Calming down from laughing so hard, Logan let out a breath before staring at Sirius.
"You don't know how right you are... Dad."
"...Huh? Dad?" Sirius said, confused.
"Dad!? How can I be your dad!?" Sirius shouted at Logan. Harry also looked surprised at Logan's sudden revelation that Sirius was actually his father.
"Well, when one person loves another so~ much, they—"
Logan started before Sirius interrupted him.
"You know what I mean!" he yelled.
Logan just smiled at Sirius' reaction before walking over to the fireplace and picking up a picture frame. Turning back to Sirius, Logan passed the picture over to him without saying anything.
Looking down at the picture, Sirius saw a younger version of himself next to a woman he knew very well, an old Muggle girlfriend of his. They were both leaning on the motorbike with big smiles on their faces.
"Your mother... Isabella... where is she?" Sirius asked with a resigned look on his face, like he was already expecting the worst answer.
"You've probably already guessed, but she's dead. I've never met her, and it's clear that you never knew of me either," Logan said to Sirius, who started to look like he was in pain.
"Don't worry about it. I may have turned out a little rough around the edges, but I think I turned out alright without any parents to raise me. I mean, look at my girls."
Logan said this to him before he turned around and called out for Flora and Hestia to come meet his dad.
Sirius was looking confused. He turned to Harry and asked quietly, "Girls?"
Harry couldn't help but grin at him, looking forward to how he would react to Logan's twin girlfriends. He was shocked beyond belief when he saw Logan kiss Flora and then Hestia like it was normal. Until then, he thought that they were just good friends.
The twins came into the room, arms linked together, wearing the same outfit: skinny jeans, a black crop top and crop hoodie, with a light pink cap on top of their heads, copying Logan, whose cap was a bit similar. They had really taken to Muggle fashion after they had gone out on dates with Logan in Muggle London over the years.
Logan brought them into a hug before he kissed them both on the lips, turning back to the open-mouthed Sirius in shock, and said, "This is Flora and Hestia, my girlfriends. Girls, this is Sirius Black, my father."
The twins weren't shocked when Logan told them the man they were meeting was Sirius Black and that he was his father because long ago, when Logan took them in, he had explained just how he became the Lord of Ancient House Black. So they knew that Sirius had unknowingly fathered Logan with a Muggle woman, Logan's mother, Isabella White.
"He just got out of Azkaban, so that's why he looks like shit," Logan said, chuckling a bit at the same time.
Sirius came out of his shocked daze to give Logan the stink eye for the jab at his current state.
"I'd like to see you come out of Azkaban ten years later clean as a whistle!" Sirius said, fighting back against his still-grinning son.
After breaking the ice, they all started talking and getting to know one another better. Most of it was Sirius trying to make fun of Logan for being with both the twins, and also Harry trying to bond with his Godfather better and listening to him tell stories about his parents.
"This is all good, but I really need a shower. My first one in a long time," Sirius said, getting up from the sofa and walking to the stairs. Logan had told him the only bathroom in the top part of the house was upstairs. He was about to walk up them when he looked out the window and found it odd when he didn't see anything but clouds.
Looking closer at it, he was surprised and couldn't help but shout out, "Are we flying!? How could a house be flying in the sky?!" he shouted at Logan, clearly asking him.
"Oh, yeah, I should have mentioned. With you in prison, I became the Lord of the Black Family. This house is the one that was at 12 Grimmauld Place. You can say I made it my own," Logan explained like he hadn't just made a house fly by itself in the sky at a very high speed, Sirius would like to add!
"This is the Black family home? It looks nothing like it!" Sirius shouted, a little upset that most of what he knew was being overturned so abruptly.
"Don't worry, old man. I wouldn't leave you homeless. I've already set up a house for you, and I've already had some of my elves moved your stuff over, Harry, so you won't have to worry about that."
Logan said this time looking to Harry, who looked like a boulder had been lifted off his shoulders.
Logan may have made it so that the Dursleys were unable to even touch or harm Harry in any way unless they wanted their own brains to start attacking them by causing massive headaches or straight-up making them pass out, but that didn't stop the loneliness that came with living with people that would rather happily stick nails in their own eyes than be kind to him. So Harry was understandably relieved when Logan said that he would be living with Sirius from now on.
"That's all well and good, and I'm very happy about it, but, ah, I think you're forgetting something, like the fact that we are miles high in the sky and we are in a house!" Sirius exploded at Logan.
"Alright, don't get angry at me, you old smelly dog. All I did was steal the Philosopher's Stone and use that to power the wards and enchantments that are making the house fly. That's actually the least of what I made it do!" Logan sounded excited as he explained how he made the Black family house fly.
He was going to continue, but Sirius just put his hand up in defeat.
"Alright, that's... that's enough. I get it, the house can fly now. I just need to have a shower and get some sleep right now, okay?" Sirius said, tired. With all that had happened today to him, it wasn't much of a surprise.
"Alright, I'll send you and Harry home and you can sleep there. Kreacher!" Logan called, and a house-elf in a black butler suit appeared. Sirius thought that it looked mighty familiar.
"Master White?" Kreacher asked Logan, wanting to know why he was called. He was looking a lot better compared to when he had no work and didn't have a master to take magic to live from.
"Take Sirius and Harry to the house I made up for them," Logan told him, and Kreacher didn't waste any time carrying out his master's orders, grabbing Sirius and Harry and elf-travelling away.
"Well, wasn't today eventful," Logan said to the twins, who just nodded their heads at the same time, not saying anything when they saw the look in Logan's eyes. He was up to something, that was for sure.
"Why don't we turn in early?" Logan said, and before they could answer, Logan had put them over his shoulders and was already halfway up the stairs when they realised what he had just done.
"To the bedroom!"
The twins could only shake their heads in defeat, but with two little smiles on their faces that they clearly were trying to hide from Logan, who would just use that as an excuse to kiss them both all night long or something along those lines. It wouldn't be the first time that he had.
"I guess there really is no point in wasting time, and I might as well get right to it," Logan said before he jumped right off the edge of a cliff into a sea that was completely black, with raging waves and stormy weather that would easily capsize a boat and her crew who were foolish enough to sail out in such a sea.
Logan instantly transformed into his shark-man form until he was in deeper waters, where he then completed the transformation by turning into a small-building-sized Great White. He was able to swim much faster in his fully transformed state than he could in the half-changed one, but that didn't mean he was slow when he was in that hybrid state. He was easily able to outswim a speeding boat with a motor. And as a Great White? He left that boat far behind him.
Coming up to a rocky cliff, Logan transformed once again into his hybrid form and started climbing up the rocks. Their sharp edges were unable to even leave a mark on his skin. As he continued to climb up, dark-cloaked figures started converging on him, flying slowly but suddenly picking up speed when they went for a pass at Logan.
Logan didn't seem very worried about the Dementors, though. Reaching out, he grabbed the neck of a Dementor that swooped in, trying to suck out his soul, and at the same time, the tattoo on his stomach was protecting him from the soul attack with its special ability that Logan had woven into the tattoo: the ability to heal damage to his soul and defend against soul attacks with the Patronus inside the tattoo.
The very same Patronus that had just left the tattoo on Logan's stomach killed the Dementor that was struggling in Logan's webbed hand. Logan grabbed the cloak and put it into his pocket, which had expansion charms placed on it.
The same thing happened time and time again as Logan climbed. The Dementors seemed unable to learn their lesson as Logan put cloak after cloak into his pocket. Looking around, Logan noticed that there weren't many Dementors left.
Dementors formed in places with so much pain and suffering in the air that it could materialise itself. Azkaban was a perfect example of such a place, where the prisoners were treated even worse than dirt, not even meeting basic human rights.
Logan had used a lot of Dementor dust recently with the white dragon and the Unicorn, and so he was worried about being able to restock when he needed to.
"It seems that I'll have to get rid of the rest of Voldemort's slaves in another way."
Logan gained a frown that made his shark-like face seem even meaner. After that, he sped up so that he could reach the top of the prison as soon as possible.
Now at the top, Logan spread out his magic around him and let it affect the space around him. He made the wind and rain go around him so that he could safely turn back to his human form. He didn't want to be blown off the top just to climb back up again, after all.
"Dobby," Logan called, and half a second later, a small house-elf appeared, with big floppy ears, wearing a butler suit that also had a pin on the collar of a shark tooth to show that he was one of Logan's personal house-elves. Logan could still clearly picture the look of excitement that Dobby showed when he gave him the pin and told him what it meant.
"Yes, Master White? What you be needing from Dobby?" Dobby asked excitedly, happy that Logan was asking him to do a job so that he could work, and he loved it when Master White gave him work!
"Land the house at Site A, and prepare the basement for me to Apparate something 'very' large into it. And make the basement as large as possible. The same size as the house-elf living area should be big enough," Logan told Dobby, sending him away so that he could get the house ready for what he planned.
After Dobby popped back to tell him that things were ready, Logan transformed back into his shark-man form and took back the magic that he was using to protect himself from the weather.
He then started building up all the magic he had stored up inside his core, pushing his magic to rise in power and quality. Once he felt that he had grabbed enough from inside himself, he started coating the tower beneath him as quickly as his magic could travel. Just using so much magic at one time was a lot of strain on his body, and so he needed to be as quick as possible.
Once he felt that his magic was coating the entirety of Azkaban, he held it for a second so that he was sure that he wouldn't suddenly lose control and that his magic was steady enough for what he was going to do next.
One second the tower was there, and the next there was an empty space that the ocean water rushed in to fill the gap.
The Dementors flew around where the tower used to be, like they were confused about something, but it was hard to tell when their faces were covered with a hood and anyone that wasn't Logan was too scared to get close enough to find out what was underneath, in fear of getting their soul sucked out.
Something even stranger started happening to the Dementors. A small figure in completely black clothing that covered their entire body and with a white mask on their face, small like a Goblin but thinner, would land on the back of a Dementor and, before it could even react and try to suck their soul out, it would disappear with the strangest sound, like popped bubble wrap.
And within just a couple of short minutes, the Dementors had all disappeared as well, and all that was left in place of the dark prison was a stormy sea that looked to be becoming calmer, like the seas were glad that all the Dementors were finally gone.
...
"Good job, everyone! Keep them coming!" Logan yelled out encouragement to the Shadow Elves, a group of house-elves that Logan was trying to train to become his little assassins. He was having some luck with it, but they still needed more training and a dedicated instructor. Logan simply wasn't that person.
After a house-elf brought in a Dementor and put it with the prison tower that Logan had stolen, still filled with prisoners, they would pop over to Logan's side, where they would sit under the blue mists that Logan's Patronus let off as it stood beside him, the blue mists fixing any damage their souls suffered in the short time they were in contact with the Dementor.
"Bat," Logan called, and just like that, a Shadow Elf popped to his side on one knee, silent and ready for an order. Looking down at Bat, Logan saw the white mask that he gave him once he graduated from the Shadow Elf Training Academy. The mask had some blue markings that reminded him of a bat, and it looked quite ordinary, but Logan had put in so many charms and spells that it could be compared to a low-level Hogwarts founder's artefact, so it was far from ordinary.
"Start gathering all the guards and all prisoner files. Obliviate the guards if a mental scan doesn't show any crimes that they might have committed. If they have, throw them in a cell," Logan told Bat, sending him away right after.
Logan had gone to Azkaban to end all the rest of Voldemort's followers, but in the moment, he realised that he would have lost his Dementor factory, so he decided to take it instead and use it as his own prison in his basement.
He had moved the tower into an enlarged space in his basement, so that there was enough room for the tower and for the Dementors to fly around. He had even made it so that it was surrounded by a small ocean that he was having the elves move all the magical water creatures into. He even had the squid from the Hogwarts lake here, which actually turned out to be a kraken, not a squid. Who knew?
"Hello, Professor Snape. How's the Dark Mark been treating you now that old Voldy is six feet under?" Logan asked Snape after sneaking up on him.
Logan batted away the first spell with the back of his hand and then did the same to the second. He got really annoyed by the sixth spell that Snape fired at him, and so he decided to just disarm him. Once his wand was rolling around on the ground next to a simmering cauldron, he used wandless magic to push him down into a chair and then turned the chair's arms into snakes that he told to hold him down.
Snape struggled in the chair, but with one hiss from the snakes holding him, he stopped moving and looked up at Logan with clear hate in his eyes.
"Mr. White. Why? Is killing one professor not enough for you?" he sneered at him.
Logan just rolled his eyes as he sat in the chair across from him.
"Oh, come on, Snape. We both knew I just called you Professor to humour you. You were never a teacher. No, you were just Dumbledore's little pawn, and you know, out of everyone, I thought you would be the most glad that the manipulative old man was finally dragged down from the throne he made on top of his old boyfriend's defeat."
Logan told the confused man, clearly referring to Grindelwald. Not that he knew that, but Snape was smart and quickly realised that Logan was referring to the Dark Lord before Voldemort came to power.
"Dumbledore and Grindelwald were... lovers?"
Snape looked unsure if he should throw up. Logan was unsure as to why, as homosexuality wasn't an oddity in the magical world, but inside Snape's mind he was worrying about all the times he thought he found Dumbledore looking at his behind. The thought that a wrinkly old man was checking him out made him sick.
After composing himself better, Snape looked back at Logan.
"Well, you are right on one thing: that I am glad that he's dead now. I'm finally free from his clutches, and free from Voldemort's fangs. I have you to thank for that, don't I, Mr. White?" Snape said, looking pointedly at his forearm where his Dark Mark was. It was now a scarred mess of what the skull and snake tattoo it used to be, not that it was ever a good tattoo, Logan thought to himself.
"Ah, yes. I always did wonder what would happen once old Tommy Boy was dead. I was so sure that he put a kill switch in it that would set off once he was dead. Guess I was wrong," Logan told Snape, who turned even paler. He had never considered that possibility.
"How did you do it? Potter was destined to kill the Dark Lord," he asked, looking to Logan for answers.
"Oh, simple. I just gathered all the Horcruxes he had hidden and then had Harry destroy each one, and then finally I had him kill Voldyshorts. Though, to be fair, I did have to force him to do the last one. Not all kids can be as cold-blooded as us, am I right?" Logan said with a chuckle in his voice.
"Well, enough of that. I didn't come to chit-chat, unfortunately. No, I came to offer you a job." Logan grinned at Snape.
"Huh?"
...
"I see that everything is coming along nicely. How's the dragon farm handling so far?" Logan asked Snape as they walked beside each other. As they walked, they would pass by lots of different farms and greenhouses that house-elves were tending to. Most of the farms were for magical ingredients and creatures.
There were even farms for the most dangerous of magical creatures, like dragons, for example. The very farm Logan was having Snape set up with the elves' help to steal—I mean, borrow—for him.
"It is almost complete. Your elves learn remarkably quickly. I'm very impressed," Snape complimented the house-elf army that Logan had found forced onto him so long ago when Dobby brought them all in.
Snape had accepted the job offer Logan gave him, and there's no way he couldn't, not when Logan Apparated them to his house and showed him the private magical industry that Logan had built in the magically expanded basement.
Snape took particular pleasure when Logan showed him his Dementor farm and showed him around the prison cells. He found a lot of enjoyment when they went to Bellatrix's cell and he got to taunt her with her late master's true death.
He never did like her. No one should enjoy torturing someone that much that they... achieve release.
Snape agreed, and after signing a lot of magically binding contracts that basically guaranteed his complete loyalty to Logan, he started work on building a potion lab somewhere in the maze of a magical house. Apparently, it was next to Logan's workshop. He also made use of the house-elf army to gather all the different magical and Muggle ingredients and creatures that he could think of. There was now a constant stream of elves popping in with plants, animals, and products like clothes and books.
Snape half suspected that they had cleared out every shop on Diagon Alley and then all the magical houses, and most likely, once they were cleared, they probably moved on to the wilderness and magical creature reserves. The Forbidden Forest was definitely clear by now if the tribe of centaurs he recognised from the forest was any clue; said centaurs were running in the grasslands that held a lot of the Muggle creatures the elves were popping in.
Snape was still amazed by how Logan had made his house expand to such a size. When he asked Logan, he had apparently enlisted the help of Newt Scamander, as he had done something on a smaller scale with his suitcase. The fact that Logan did it with his house just meant that he had more space to expand to fit everything in. The basement was collectively the size of a continent.
And his library was the size of a small country that was being constantly filled with books by the elves. He was just glad that Logan had made it so that you just had to think of a subject that you wanted information on and the books would appear in front of you on a table. The only downside was that you couldn't leave with the books. Logan had apparently copied some magic arrays that he had found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts to make it possible.
And Snape didn't even care about the magically binding contracts, even if he was basically a slave now. That part wasn't any different from what he had been to Voldemort and then to Dumbledore. Unlike with them, he wasn't treated like a pawn. He had his own freedom as long as it didn't harm Logan, his people, or his things in any way. The biggest bonus was that he got to keep anything that he made from all the farms Logan was having made, and he only had to make potions for Logan when he was asked.
It didn't even take a second for him to agree and then sign the contract that said he would be able to use all said facilities if he did as asked of him and never refused. He was given the right to refuse, though, but only for a good reason, like if it went against his morals. Even that was a huge step up from what Voldemort and Dumbledore demanded of him.
"Mr. White, I have to ask, why did you do all of this? Killing Voldemort and Dumbledore, gathering all of this..." He said, gesturing to all the farms around them. "You honestly don't seem like the type to want to clean up after other people's messes. So I couldn't help but ask just why you are doing it?"
Snape asked, putting real emotion in his voice for once, his tight control of his emotions most likely slipping due to all he had seen in just an hour, and by someone he once considered beneath him in everything, when in truth it was the other way around and he could only claim to be better at potions, and even then that was probably only a slight difference between them.
"Oh, I simply don't want to leave this world in a mess when I go," Logan explained while he picked the dirt from his nails.
"I see. You don't want to leave a mess when you leave this world. When you leave this world?!" Snape shouted in panic, thinking that his new boss was about to commit suicide so soon.
...
After Logan calmed down the hysterical Snape, he led him back up through the maze that was starting to form so that they eventually ended back up in the living room.
Waiting on the sofas were the twins, sitting next to each other wearing the same white sundress, looking over a Muggle fashion magazine together. They had become so obsessed with the clothes that non-magical people had come up with that Logan had to add a walk-in wardrobe to their bedroom. It was basically just another room for all the clothes they had started buying when they went on shopping sprees in Muggle London, but Logan didn't really mind since they were using money he had stolen from people like Malfoy, and they would also put on little fashion shows for him that he enjoyed very much, especially when they discovered there were different types of swimwear.
Sitting in a lone leather chair next to the sofa was a beautiful Korean woman reading a book on magic, with a warm-looking blanket covering her from the waist down. Most people from Logan's old world would recognise her from films like Avengers: Age of Ultron and Fantastic Beasts. It was Nagini in her human form. Logan had managed to repurpose and remake the Animagus potion and the ritual he used to combine giant's blood with himself to give her a human form, a little like how he got a hybrid form, but this time he was trying to repeat the same results that gave him such a more versatile form than just his megalodon form, which was only really useful in the water.
Seeing Logan and Snape walk in, Nagini's head shot up and her eyes locked onto Logan. She stood up from the chair and moved over to him, letting the blanket that covered her fall to the ground. When Snape saw the entirety of her, he froze in shock, while Logan just kept on walking towards her, meeting her halfway and accepting the hug that she gave him.
While they were hugging, Snape was trying to restart his brain. It had stopped because of what he saw when he looked at Nagini's bottom half. The Animagus/giant's blood potion had given her a human form, but not a complete one. From the waist down, she was part snake. She had a snake tail big enough to match her human size, so it wasn't small by anyone's standards, and it actually took up most of the room's space.
Releasing him from the hug but still holding onto his arm, she slithered over to a sofa that was across from the twins, dragging him over so that he was sitting down next to her on it, with her coils naturally coming to rest on top of his lap and his legs, but not wrapping around him. Logan had already warned her against doing that when it happened the first time, and that was because the twins had looked at her like they were going to plan her murder.
The twins did understand, though, that Nagini had been a snake for so long that it felt better to wrap around something warm, and with Logan there, the biggest heat source, and with him also being the one who gave her a new life, one that she thought would never be possible, it was natural that she would want to be as close to him as possible. The twins did understand that, and so that's why they didn't say anything when she would hug him or press up against him so often around the house. They had faith that Logan would remain loyal to them alone.
"What are you standing around for, Snape? Take a seat," Logan said to the still-frozen man, waking him up from his daze. He slowly walked over to where Nagini was sitting before they came in and took a seat, keeping the corner of his eye on Nagini at least at all times.
Snape didn't trust any snake, even though he was Slytherin Head of House, not after what he had seen under Voldemort's command, what he had made a snake do to a person.
"Alright, now that we're all here, what do you all know of the Deathly Hallows?" Logan asked around, looking at all their faces and eyes to see if they showed some recognition of what he asked. It seemed that only Snape and Nagini knew something about them, most likely just the story of the three brothers and not the rest, the part that he had managed to put together once he had arrived in this world and felt the magic in the air, used it, and figured out how to tell one spell from another.
That's how he figured out what he was going to tell them next.
"Since it seems the girls are the only ones who aren't familiar, I'll tell the whole known story and then tell you all the rest of it," Logan said, getting a raised eyebrow from Snape and a patient look from Nagini.
"There were once three brothers who travelled together. They reached a treacherous river and, to cross it, they made a magical bridge over it. Halfway across the bridge, they met the personification of Death, who was angry for losing three potential victims. Death pretended to be impressed by them and granted each a wish as a reward. The rewards were the Deathly Hallows: a cut-off from Death's own cloak that makes anyone it's covering invisible to everyone and everything, and that's including Death; an unbeatable wand made from elder wood, and the core is a tail hair of a Thestral; and finally, a stone that resurrects spirits from the afterlife. Supposedly, once one person holds all three, they become the Master of Death," Logan explained to the girls, who now looked incredibly shocked.
But Logan continued.
"Now, most people thought this meant that they couldn't die. Dumbledore and Voldemort certainly thought so. But what they didn't think about was that when they say Master of Death, they don't mean not dying. No, they mean the manifestation of Death on Earth: the Veil," Logan said as he looked towards Snape, enjoying the shocked expression he knew he would have once he revealed the truth.
Seeing the confused faces across from him, he started to explain.
"The Veil is an unexplained archway with a vertical, liquid-like surface that the Ministry went to so much trouble building their building around just so that they could study it and learn... nothing. They didn't even entertain the idea that it was the Death referred to in the Three Brothers' story. Anyway, back to the story. The Veil kills anything that passes through it. A man walks through and his soul gets sent to the afterlife, and his body falls out the other side, dead," Logan explained.
Snape looked confused.
"I don't understand. You said that you were going to leave this world. You can't mean through the Veil, can you?" Snape asked, panicked, once again worrying that he would lose all the farms in the basement so soon.
"I'm the Master of Death now. Who says the Veil has to lead to the afterlife?" Logan grinned at them and at their dawning looks of awe.
...
"Alright, is everyone ready?" Logan asked everyone in the house as he flew it through the sky. They were somewhere above America at the moment.
Logan had a cloak on that rested on his wide shoulders, with a round metal pin with a stone in the centre holding the cloak up. In his hand was a wand that he used to direct a small stone rectangle that was floating in front of himself.
After getting nods and shouts to go ahead, he used the Elder Wand to control the Veil so that it was now in front of the house as it flew. With a flick from Logan, the stone arch started getting bigger and bigger until it was big enough for the house to fly through it.
It was then just a matter of controlling it to change destinations, so that it wasn't going to send them to the afterlife if they were to pass through in a second.
"Alright, I've changed the portal's destination, but I don't know exactly where it will lead us. Is everyone ready to leave this world behind?!" Logan said with a grin that was infectious, and spread to the twins and, to a lesser extent, Nagini. Snape just looked resigned to his fate.
"Well, let's go then!" Logan shouted before controlling the Veil to stop and the house to continue flying so that it was on a direct course to go right through it.
From an outside point of view, all anyone would have seen was the house go through the portal and not appear on the other side, like before, how the Veil used to work when it just sent souls to the afterlife.
...
After coming out the other side of the Veil, they looked around, and it seemed like nothing had changed. They were still high up in the sky. Even when Logan had used a world map he had made based on the Marauder's Map, the countries still looked the same.
The world map would instantly link back up to whatever planet the map was on, but unlike the Marauder's Map, this one didn't show names. It had that feature, but it first had to mark that person so that it would always know where they were, and that's why they were the only ones on the map right now.
Their names were tightly packed together somewhere over France on the map. Logan double-checked the wards that stopped people from noticing the house and made them dismiss it completely as a plane or a blur from the corner of their eye. After that, he decided to fly back to Britain and see if they actually did travel to another world or if they had just travelled to another part of the same world.
But at least they had confirmed that the Veil could be used to travel and not just for convenient and easy soul removals.
Logan then took off the cloak that had a Resurrection Stone pin and also returned the Elder Wand to his forearm holster, but not before re-shrinking the Veil and putting it in the same place as the cloak and stone for safekeeping. Not that anyone else would be able to use them now that he had bonded with them and truly become their master, the Master of Death.
That had a nice ring to it, Logan thought to himself as he walked over to the front door, everyone else following behind him.
Nagini returned to her snake form and rested herself across Logan's shoulders. She could feel the Notice-Me-Not charms that Logan was putting on her as they exited the house, which he had decided to park above a local park in London, one that wasn't far from where an entrance to Diagon Alley was.
Stepping out onto a stone platform that came out from under the house, they floated down to the ground, and once they all stepped off it, the platform went back to where it hid under the stairs that led up to the front door.
Logan had made it with flying broomstick charms in mind, just adjusted slightly for the size and weight difference, and then some more charms to make it automated when the house was high off the ground and when someone was leaving the house. Logan was pretty proud of his small side project that he had finished recently, especially with how well it worked.
It was then only a short walk, one that they made with Logan in the middle, Nagini on his shoulders in her snake form, the twins holding onto one of his arms, and then Snape walking behind them, looking around with some hidden curiosity. Everything looked a lot more modern, and the cars were way ahead of the time they had just come from.
Deciding to share his observations, Logan said, "We are definitely on a different world, or we have time-travelled to a little bit into the future and are on the same world."
"How do you know?" Snape asked Logan.
"The cars. Some of them are running on electricity. That kind of technology was a few years away the last time I checked," Logan explained to him and the girls, who looked a little lost but not as much as if they had never been introduced to the non-magical world by Logan.
"Let's go see that it's not time travel now," Logan said as they started to walk down a dark, out-of-the-way alley.
Coming up to a plain wall, Logan tapped it in different places in a certain order. When nothing happened, he then tried sensing for any charms or wards on the wall or on any of the walls around them, but nothing showed up.
"This truly is a different world." Logan grinned excitedly. It had always been his dream to travel through the different dimensions. He was living that dream when he was reborn into the Harry Potter world, but that got old after a couple of years. All he had to do now was find or build a way to decide what dimension he wanted to travel to. He knew of some dimensions that had that exact thing, but he could only hope that he got lucky the next time they went through the Veil.
"Let's go discover what makes this dimension special," Logan said, leading them back out of the alleyway.
"How do we do that?" Flora asked him.
"The best ways are the internet or top-secret government files. Let's try the internet first," Logan said as they walked along the street, stopping a teenage girl on her phone who was about to walk past them and asking her for directions to an internet café or library with internet access.
Now with new directions, they were off to an internet café. But now Snape was under a Notice-Me-Not charm because the teenager complimented his Snape 'costume'. Logan promised to explain how she knew who he was later, right after they found out what world they were in.
...
Now in an internet café, they ordered some drinks and talked or just sat in silence, in Snape's case, as Logan searched the web for anything that might stand out to him.
But so far, he was having no luck. No Avengers or Spider-Man, no news reports of aliens, no reports of supernatural happenings that couldn't be explained. But Logan did find some news reports about some terrorist attacks in Singapore that sounded odd to him, how a red sports car was pinned down with harpoon-like weapons that people in SWAT uniforms used as zip lines, only to be shot down and killed by one bald man in a suit with a red tie.
"Wait, isn't that the storyline for the newest Hitman film?" Logan whispered silently to himself as he reread the news article that claimed that it was actually a SWAT team trying to apprehend a weapons dealer and not a private military trying to kill an Agent.
An Agent being a perfect human weapon that had been genetically made to be a top-level assassin. The Agents were named by what number they were made, the Agent in the news report happened to be the most well-known and accomplished one, Agent 47.
Standing up, Logan said to the rest, "I know where we are. Let's go. I'll tell you back at the house."
He said it when he saw Snape's face, which was practically begging to ask him how he knew the things that he did.
Logan could barely wait to drop the bomb on him and watch what happened to his face and expressions when it did.
