Lydia gave Ivy a strange look, as though the question itself was rather odd.
"There is no such thing as a mayor. There is only a city lord. This town comes under Peng City."
The moment Lydia mentioned the name, Bella paused in the middle of what she was doing.
She leaned toward Alana and whispered, "Who the heck names a city Peng? What happened? Did they have some kind of grudge against this city?"
Alana immediately elbowed her lightly in the side. "Stay focused, Bella."
Bella pouted and rubbed her side. "You are always so serious."
She then turned her attention back toward Lydia.
Lydia continued without noticing their exchange.
"The city lord has four henchmen. Those henchmen are the ones who patrol the town and the neighbouring villages. As long as we have the approval from them or get them to run an errand for us, we can attract the attention of Lord Peng."
Lydia lowered her voice slightly, glancing around as though she was worried someone might overhear her.
