"Grandma, do you want more great-grandchildren?" Leo cut Zoey off before she could answer.
Almost immediately, Christine's eyelids flew open to reveal her glistening eyes. "Leo, are you considering trying for another child with Zoey?" Christine's voice cracked from excitement.
"We've thought about it. Though it's a matter of fate whether Zoey gets pregnant," Leo answered, not wanting to promise anything. "If Zoey does get pregnant, our third child will take her family name. We've talked about this before."
"Sure, sure. Zoey's the only one left in the Fuller family. Having a child with her family name shall serve as a solace for her family in heaven."
No one would have liked it if their family's legacy ended during their generation, so the Yancey family respected and understood that decision.
