Throughout the day and night she spent over with the Yancey family, Yvonne felt that there was this indescribable closeness within the family. Without the patronizing ruse of the high-class people, they were much warmer than the Carter family.
Marrying into such a warm and harmonious family was definitely the best outcome for Yvonne. With her straightforward temperament, she would fit in well. At least she did not have a nasty mother-in-law to deal with, which could really ruin a happy marriage.
"Mom, we are mutually supportive of each other, and we always accomplish things together. Without her, I will still be the same old arrogant guy. To say that it was a blessing for her to meet me, I would say that I'm the lucky guy who is blessed to have her."
Shawn suddenly grinned. "I'm very fortunate that Zoey was the one who ended up with Leo that night. Otherwise, I would not have met Yvonne and would still be a stag who dislikes women running loose in the streets."
