Brandan glanced at the phone screen, which displayed an unfamiliar number. He nodded slightly without showing any expression and simply sat back down.
The table was already set with exquisite dishes: cream cheese shrimp, fig balsamic salad, chicken cheese rolls, aromatic steak, and an opened bottle of red wine.
"Brandan, shall we go watch a movie after dinner?"
Emily Dormer cut a piece of steak with her knife and fork, put it in her mouth, and smiled at the man in front of her.
Brandan's expression was very neutral, with no extra emotion. He didn't appear annoyed or happy, just indifferent, exhibiting a bit of disinterest.
"I have to go back to the office later." Brandan glanced at her, cutting his steak, and said flatly, "The driver will take you home."
"Hmm?" Emily tilted her head, a few hints of confusion on her gentle and quiet face, "Why are you going back to the office, Brandan? Is there more work to do?"
