[3rd POV]
Staring at Jean Grey walking through the doors, Wanda was instantly surprised. The fact that the host of the Phoenix Force was inside of her room was a shock to her, as she never expected to meet her in person.
At least not until she personally traveled to the Marvel comics universe. The Phoenix Force was an entity of power that scaled to a level of power compared to the Endless, and Death herself. And in the Marvel comics universe, it actually scaled higher than Death.
Within the Marvel comics universe, it's strongest form was in the top five strongest entities in the Marvel multiverse. That was how insanely powerful the entity before here was.
And once she felt Jean step into the bookstore, she felt the Phoenix Force inside of her. The power that was reacting inside of Jean was immense, and she could feel it prod at her, as if trying to sense and understand her own power that long surpassed it.
Wanda let it, not seeing any reason to stop it, since she felt that it didn't have any sort of negative intentions and was just trying to figure out what the hell that she was. So she let the entity, and was inwardly a bit amused to feel the shock of the entity inside of Jean.
Jean felt a little confused as she instinctively felt the power inside of her reacting to Wanda in some strange way. Wanda knew why Jean was confused, as the Phoenix Force didn't just react to anyone, making her reactions valid.
Wanda 616 looked at Jean and then her older and stronger counterpart. She could see that something was happening between the two, but it was a little weird the way that Jean was furrowing her eyebrows the way that she was.
"Are you okay Jean?" Wanda 616 questioned, looking at Jean who blinked at her name being spoke, before nodding.
"Yeah I'm fine. It's just my...friend is reacting rather strangely" Jean responded, as Wanda smiled from behind the counter, feeling that the Phoenix Force was finished with its thing, the prodding and sensing of Wanda's power.
"Ah, apologies for that. I do believe that is because of my presence here" Wanda said from behind the counter, as Jean finally noticed her fully. She had seen her when she had walked into the room, but now she was really noticing the similarities between her and the Wanda that she knew.
"Wow...you really do look exactly like Wanda. You said that she looked similar, but the similarities are incredible" Jean said, looking between Wanda and Wanda 616. The two were pretty much carbon copies of one another, but the only true difference was that Wanda of the bookstore was noticeably slightly taller, a bit more mature, and a bit more beautiful.
That and she gave off an entirely different aura and sensation, the power that she gave off was of a completely different level in comparison to the Wanda that she knew. It was like comparing a newborn baby to a full grown adult, there really was not a comparison between the two of them.
"Well we pretty much are the same. The only difference is that I am quite a lot older than her, and more powerful. Besides that I also have a wider range of powers" Wanda replied with a calm smile on her face, while Jean slowly nodded in understanding.
"So, what are you doing here today, younger counterpart of mine?" Wanda asked her younger counterpart.
"...Well, thanks to your training I have obtained a good amount of control over my power. And considering you were able to teach me about my power and how to control it, I was wondering if perhaps you could teach Jean how to control hers?" Wanda 616 asked, as Wanda raised an eyebrow and looked at Jean.
"I certainly can. But the actual process of teaching her is going to be fundamentally different. This is thanks to the fact that she has the Phoenix Force inside of her, a multiversal force of immense power, that is different than what you have, and in a number of ways, stronger" Wanda responded to her counterpart, explaining it a bit.
"You know? About the Phoenix?" Jean asked, surprised that she knew.
"Jean, I am an entity well beyond even the being inside of you. There are few beings inside of your multiverse that can potentially rival me in terms of power, and the Phoenix Force is not one of them. After all, how do you think I am able to create a bookstore that can connect to over a dozen multiverses at the same time?" Wanda asked, a little confused how they thought she wasn't that powerful.
"...Yeah I suppose that makes sense" Wanda 616 muttered to herself, realizing that her older and much more knowledgeable counterpart was right.
"How did you become so strong?" Jean asked, as Wanda 616 perked up at this, she was also very interested.
Wanda glanced at Jean with a silent look on her face.
"A lot of hard work, and a lot of luck. I also have friends from a number of multiverses that were able to get access to a few...items that helped me become stronger than what I used to be. Why? Do you want to get stronger too?" Wanda asked Jean in return, curious.
"No, no, I was just curious. I think I'm handling enough power as it is, I don't need anymore than what I have" Jean replied, shaking her head rapidly at the idea. She could barely control the power she already had, even imagining new power was...not really all that appealing to be honest.
Was it weird to not want more power? Probably. But she just didn't see the appeal when she already struggled so much with what she had. Why stack more power on top of that, making it even more of an issue for her?
It wouldn't make any sense.
"Alright. First things first, I would suggest you go into the meditation section over to the left, the books that I suggest you start with are currently over there glowing. These books will be a good starting point for you to gain control over your power" Wanda said, motioning to the left where the bookshelf with all of the meditation techniques were held.
Hearing this, Jean glanced to the side before nodding and walking away to grab a few of them, and look over a few more of them.
Meditation was a great boon to all users of things like telepathy and telekinesis, and by using it, they can grow and develop the art of telepathy. It would grant her greater control over her power, and greater resistance to the actions of others.
Occlumency was a huge art that she had made sure was pointed out to Jean, as it would both strengthen her mind, and strengthen her telepathic power. It was one of the best mind arts that she sold in the shop, which was shocking considering how weak the universe that it came from was.
The art also had a ton of potential for growth and developing further iterations of it, more advanced applications and such. And the Occlumency book that Wanda had suggested was actually a book that she had made herself that had a few advanced uses of it on top of the normal use.
It would be perfect for Jean to grow with.
"How long will it take her to learn them?" Wanda 616 asked, watching Jean walk off to grab the books that were suggested to her. She also knew of a few of the books inside of the section, as Wanda had suggested them to her as well.
"Probably a couple of months or so. Matters on how far she wants to take it. And only once she learns them to a good extent will I start to do hands-on training with her" Wanda replied to her younger counterpart.
"So basically she has a long road in front of her if she wants to get some control" Wanda 616 said, as Wanda nodded simply.
'That's if she even gets to that point. I know the amount of bullshit that she has to go through with the limitless amount of enemies that the X-Men seem to have' Wanda thought, as Wanda 616 walked off to go and help her pick out some books.
Watching her walk off, Wanda hummed with only one thought on her mind.
'Either way, this'll certainly be interesting'
