[3rd POV]
While Loki was off with her two familia members browsing through the books, and finding herself increasingly pulled in to learn more about the divine magic books, Wanda was seated behind her counter, humming as she read her own book.
She had been contemplating the date. A date that was supposed to be happening in the next couple of days. A date with Death.
A date that the author totally did not forget about.
...Definitely.
...Anyways.
Wanda wondered what exactly the date was going to be, as it had been a while now, and Death had even pushed the date off once. Which she normally would take as an insult or something, but Death had been pretty open about the fact that the date was very special, and needed a lot of work to prepare properly.
From the sounds of it, it wasn't because the woman was struggling with actually doing it. It sounded like she was struggling to get permission to do it. Meaning that it was likely going through the other members of the Endless, or perhaps someone even higher on the totem pole, like maybe Lucifer?
He was a somewhat likely candidate.
But she couldn't see why it would take so long if he was involved, as while he was definitely a chaotic individual, it was not to the point that it was a problem to get around. Not for someone like Death, who had more than enough power to do what she wants to do.
She had infinite clones out and about doing her job, this aspect was not truly cloning, and was more like her manifesting tiny tiny tiny portions of herself throughout the multiverse, in order to "ferry" the dead to what comes after.
Which tended to be reincarnation, an underworld, or a form of heaven.
Either way, Wanda believed that someone was causing the problems with the Death date. It was probably something to do with the big man himself, the Presence.
It didn't really matter too much to Wanda, as she would find out eventually no matter what. All she would need to do is wait until the date and then just straight up ask about it, and most likely Death would answer her, as once again, she had no reason to lie to her.
Not when they were literally on a date together.

[At the same time, Raven]
Raven had been having an interesting day today. It had started out relatively normal. Cuddling up with her girlfriend, enjoying her warmth. Then having breakfast while her girlfriend eventually heads off to start her hobby up. As that was what the bookstore was, it was her hobby.
At the same time, she was in charge of making sure that Amity, Naruto and Milim did not do anything really fucking stupid. Which the latter two had been doing a lot recently.
That was because as of recent, the two of them had been trying to contact Gods in the DC universe. Which normally wouldn't be too big of a problem, except the Gods that they were trying to meet were very very very old, and very powerful.
The Old Gods.
They wanted to speak with "S'ivaa" , an immensely powerful Old God that was known as the dancer of destruction. As his very dance could destroy the entire universe, and even beyond.
And they were trying to get into contact with him because...
They wanted to learn his dance.
Raven had been flabbergasted when she had heard that the reason why they wanted to meet a multiversal level Old God, was so that they could learn to dance.
Raven felt a headache coming on just thinking about that event. She remembered telling Wanda about it, and the woman simply laughed her ass off upon hearing that the duo had failed, and had instead gotten nothing but the irritation of Raven.
Raven had promptly decided to give them a grounding, since they tried to do something so monumentally dumb.
Amity found it just as funny as Wanda did, since she had not been dragged into the little test by the two, and as such, was free from punishment. And since she didn't even know that they were doing it, she also did not get any other sort of punishment.
Amity had even messed with her siblings a bit, having some friendly taunting with the two as they were grounded. Grounding in the case of the Maximoff family, is basically just them not being allowed to go out and wander around the world. It also meant that they had to do more chores than normal, had certain privileges taken away, and some basic stuff that was not needed, but "wanted".
Wanda had made those rules for grounding a long time ago. Basically, their punishment was their absolute worst enemies.
Boredom.
That was the absolute best way to punish them. Make them so bored that they have nothing else to do, nothing else to occupy themselves with. With them being bored as hell, they will understand that if they do it again, they will be faced with that same boredom.
Potentially even worse.
Raven thought the punishment actually worked pretty well to be honest.
Today was a relatively normal day for her. Milim and Naruto were both currently doing their chores, still undergoing their punishment which would end in a couple of days, well, probably. That was only if they were good and didn't try cause any more problems or anything.
Which they likely shouldn't...hopefully.
Who knows when it comes to those two, as they are basically chaos incarnate, with their love of traveling and seeing new things. While also loving to mess with people when on that trip to see new things, pranking many people.
They pranked people whenever they had the chance, but they also had limits. So when pranking someone and they saw something wrong, like someone reacting negatively to the prank, they would instantly stop it, and try their best to help them out if need be.
While Naruto and Milim was off and doing their chores, Amity was in her own room reading through some of the new books she had been given by Wanda. Most of the books revolved around the things she was interested in. Like enchanting, warding, homunculus, alchemy and a few others.
Homunculus is a truly interesting art that Amity had been blind sided by when she had first learned of it, as you were essentially making life, and the creation of life was no small thing even for Gods.
So just being casually handed the key to making artificial life, had of course shocked the girl. But she had also been very excited, as the art meshed very very well with abomination magic, and had basically given form to an entirely new and unique type of person.
Amity had been studying it nonstop since the moment she had gotten it. She had barely scratched the surface, and learned next to nothing.
But she loved it either way.
Raven wondered what Wanda could be up to, downstairs in her store.
She had a feeling it was just as interesting as her own time, watching over the three.
________________________
Wanda was bored.
She had been sitting for quite some time, and was basically just waiting for Loki and her familia members to find their books and check out the books they were all buying. But no, she doubted the woman even realized how long they had been taking, nor did she think that Loki would kick up much of a fuss about it.
She honestly had the feeling that Loki was trying to push it off as long as possible, which was an interesting prospect, but one that would get deny'd no matter what. She wondered what it was about.
Either way, Wanda was sat, bored out of her mind, with only one thought on her mind.
'This is not nearly as interesting as I was hoping!'
