A ringing sound disoriented Claude. He didn't even know when he lost all his energy. All he remembered was that something exploded on his shoulder, causing his ears to ring from the loud sound. The Alpha wolf staggered and fell to the ground.
"…Len… help…" The black dog whined. "It hurts…"
Claude opened his eyes and saw blood pooling in front of him. He moved his head to follow the strong source of the blood scent. His shoulder didn't seem to exist anymore. His left arm only remained connected to him with nothing but a mere flap of skin. He could see bones and exploded meat on the floor just a pace from his body.
At the sight, Montgomery laughed. He took his elephant rifle again and aimed at the black dog's face. "Poor thing… Say goodbye to everyone you love…"
Claude could only look at the nozzle.
