Kaneki dont really kill any zombies on the way due to the fact that his mind was solely focused on tracking Shizuka and others
Since he already took so much time dealing with that woman who attacked as he didnt expect her to be this strong
Not only that but having to talk with a woman was also quite exhausting since she got some screws loose in her head
But since her skills are useful and she seems to be someone with reason with, he decided to talk things out and set some conditions in order to let her free as one of the conditions was for her to kill as many zombies as she could
''Did she do it?' Kaneki couldn't help but say this in his mind due to the fact that it was one of the conditions he set up for her and now he thinks about it, he realised that zombies didnt really come out even once when they make big noises
'It's not impossible since her other soul has the ability to become completely invisible' Kaneki inwardly said this as he knew how difficult it would be to track her after she becomes invisible
He can't hear, smell or even feel her presence meaning if she did it then he has no way to tell but it's a good thing if she really did this since this means she is really keeping her promise
With those thoughts in his mind, they all began to go inside the store while he couldn't help but feel that Shizuka and others managed themselves well
'They aren't helpless now' Kaneki couldn't help but say this in his mind as he remembered the zombie's body he discovered on the way here as they were dead by Saeko and the other 2 girls
They did good and what's more, it seems they are already used to this now which is why they did it fast and move faster, he knows this since the distance from where he left them to here is quite far for people who come here on foot
After coming, they sat down one by one as Shizuka took that seat just beside Kaneki and after all of them settled down, it was finally time for a conversation since there were some questions in their mind that needed answers and the only person who could answer those questions was none other than Kaneki
"What happened to that person who ambushed us?" Saeko asked this question as she wanna know this since if Kaneki is here which clearly means he won but she wanna know whether he killed her or not
Due to her experience with him, she knows that Kaneki even though he acts tough has a soft personality especially when he left that man alive who is trash in her mind
She just wanna know if he killed her or not, but honestly, she wishes he killed that person since that means that person won't attack them again because there is a possibility that person will target someone else next time
"That person won't bother again" Kaneki said as though that girl had some screws but from what he can tell she is not a liar
'crazy person like her won't break the promise' Kaneki inwardly said this as he is familiar with her kind and knows that person might be crazy, a battle freak but usually they are too simple-minded which is why she won't bother to break her promise
"Thats good" Saeko replied as though she wanted to hear that he killed that person but since he said this, she couldn't do anything other than trust him

15 minutes later…
15 minutes later, Kaneki stood up as everyone got up with him since they had already wasted so much time as they needed to get going otherwise it would be night soon
Even though Kaneki has no problem with moving at night but it can't be said the same for Others since they need to sleep otherwise it will be dangerous for them
Not to mention looking at the condition of the place, he had no doubt that street lights or even electricity weren't available which means it would be completely dark
Even though they packed torches from Shizuka's home it still can't really brighten the whole darkness of the night which is why they needed to go as soon as possible
And even if they can't manage to reach their destination still they at least should be able to find a shelter where they can spend the night otherwise it will be really bad
They can't stay here where they are right now since if they do that then there is danger from every direction and not to mention there is no place to sleep as this place is in pieces
And they dont really have any clothes to protect themselves from the cold at night which is why they at least needed to find a standing building or home
After getting everything ready, they went out again in order to move forward, from what Kaneki can say is that now without any vehicle it will really be very hard for them to reach their destination now
Yesterday Kaneki also expected them to reach the destination on foot in the evening by foot if only they didnt encounter unseen events
But it's hard now since they already wasted time which is the reason that they needed to look for a place to stay or at least a car
They stepped out of the building where they were standing as they began to move forward luckily it seems that they didnt encounter any zombies on the way

2 hours later …
It's already been 2 hours since they began to walk and this hour journey was very smooth since they didnt encounter any zombies at all which is weird to especially since yesterday they have been running into ombies
But at least it's a good thing since due to that they can speed up their pace to complete one of 2 objectives
