With good news, there is also bad news and the bad news is that the sun is now going down meaning soon there will be night and the worst part is that they didnt manage to find any place to stay
They did find some cars but all of those zombies aren't functional meaning they needed to do something soon otherwise they will be stuck at home at night
Kaneki realised this problem as he climbed up a pole in order to see anything like cars or an intact home they could use for the night
Soon Kaneki could see in the distance street lights started to light up meaning that the place had electricity and from the looks of it, he could think that the area was also a Residential area
Meaning there should be houses there even though it's really hard for him to see due to the smoke causing destruction but he thinks this should be their best bet
After he jumped down from the pole, in front of them as they didnt get taken back by this since they already accepted Kaneki as someone extraordinary and this is normal for him
They already accepted the fact that Kaneki is capable of doing anything that a human isn't capable of, which they didnt react to at all
"There should be a Residential area within about 30 30-minute walk from here" Kaneki said as he revealed the information to others since at least this will make them motivated
Hearing this everyone got a smile on their face as they were happy to know that they can sleep at night now otherwise they would have been worried to death that they would be sleeping on the streets tonight
They just needed to fight one good house in order to stay since this is a zombie apocalypse, which means that it doesn't matter really whose house it is
As long as they can find the house, they can occupy it and not to mention during this zombie apocalypse, they hardly find any humans
At least yesterday they met some as they escaped the school but today is a totally different story since even though the day is about to end still have didnt met even a single human now which is weird and scary as well
As this means there are 2 possibilities either all humans in the city have already evacuated to the safe zone or all the humans have become zombies
Both possibilities are very hard to be true, as making all humans in the city into zombies would mean this city should be overflowing with zombies
And as for another possibility where all humans are safely evacuated even though they want it to be true but they also realised that if that was the case then they at least should have seen humans or seen rescue vehicles
Unfortunately, they didnt see any which only means that humans are uniting and living hiding right now in order to stay
After all, they aren't warriors or soldiers as they are nothing but civilians and fighting human-eating monsters is not possible
'I really wondered what happened to him' Rei couldn't help but inwardly say this in her mind as she thought of Takashi since looking at the bad condition of this city,
She couldn't help but wonder what really happened to her since even though he left them all to die, that still doesn't change the fact that he was her childhood friend
She wondered how he would be doing but one thing she can be certain of is that he can't be doing well compared to them
Unlike him who is surrounded by people who could use any means to survive, they at least have trust in each other and we're gonna support each other in any situation and lastly, they have Kaneki who is literally a superhuman
'I wondered if my dad is fine' Rei thought this next in her mind as even though she dont really like her dad much compared to other humans' love for their parents
The reason is mainly due to the fact that her dad didnt give her much time as he should since he always gives priority to his job compared to her who is his own blood
But that doesnt mean she dont care about him as who in the world dont care about their own parent as inwardly she prays for his safety since he is the only person right in her family
Even when she reached her home she really broke down when she saw a dead body but the more she thought about it, the more she realised that what Others say makes more sense
Since there is no way her dad will die like that, she knows her dad and knows he probably escaped to a safe place
'Then is he looking for me?' Rei asked this question in her mind as if he survived then he should be looking for her but Rei knows thats's wishful thinking since she thinks her dad dont really value her to the point he would put his own life in danger
'I should focus on what's ahead of me' Rei said this in her mind as she shook her head and cleared all thoughts in her mind
She thought this since her current focus should be on surviving then on useless thoughts since thinking about those things won't help her at all here
After that, she moved with everyone else as she tried to look for any incoming danger even though Kaneki already told them it would take at least 30 minutes for them to find a shelter but she couldn't help but pray they would find it sooner
'I need to drink coffee again' Kaneki couldn't help but inwardly say this as he already used too much energy today due to the fight against that crazy battle maniac and moreover regenerate too which takes a lot of energy, so he now needs coffee to calm his mind otherwise it will be bad for him
