Boom—
A wave of overwhelming power descended from the sky, the kind of dominance that only the highest tier of life could exude.
"Woo… woo…!"
A low, trembling whimper echoed through the jungle. A massive beast that had been hiding among the trees, ready to strike and claim its prey, suddenly collapsed onto the ground. Its entire body shook violently in fear.
This beast was the unchallenged ruler of the island, the apex predator whose domain stretched across the nearby archipelago. Every creature here, land or sea, lived under its shadow. Yet today—someone dared to trespass into its territory.
And worse, those two-legged intruders weren't even cautious. They were laughing, talking, mocking its sovereignty. Such arrogance!
At first, rage burned in its eyes. It had planned to rush out and crush them under its claws. They would make fine prey—too small to fill its belly, but perfect for a post-dinner snack.
But before it could move, it met her eyes.
From that single gaze, a suffocating pressure surged through its body. That woman—so small, so fragile-looking—had eyes like an ancient god. Within them shimmered a power written into the very code of creation, a command written deep in every creature's genes: "Submit."
Its limbs froze. The breath of death swept over it. The beast—king of this island—could do nothing but crawl on the ground, trembling before that "weak" two-legged creature. Its pride shattered completely.
And it wasn't alone. Every creature across Island 02 and the surrounding seas felt the same divine pressure. From the birds in the sky to the whales deep beneath the waves, all of them knew one thing instinctively: stay away from the sea—or die.
Standing on the golden sands, Bella adjusted her sunglasses, watching the huge orange-furred monster prostrate itself before her. The corners of her lips curved upward slightly in amusement.
When she had first arrived on this island, she hadn't bothered to drive away the wildlife. There was no need—her presence alone, her life level, was enough to keep anything from approaching her. Most creatures fled miles away out of instinct.
But this fool had been too curious—or too stupid—to resist.
Still, Bella didn't kill it. It wasn't mealtime yet. If it had been, she might have roasted it for lunch.
"Bella! Come play with me! What are you staring at?"
Thud!
With a squeal of joy, Angie came flying like a meteor, leaping into Bella's lap and nearly crushing the beach chair beneath her weight. Only the chair's reinforced structure kept it from snapping in half.
Bella sighed silently. Her best friend—if she could even call her that—was twisting and squirming like a lazy cat.
Ever since Angie discovered that her new body's density and strength were practically indestructible, she had stopped caring about restraint. Bella had to regularly suppress her own strength to avoid breaking the poor girl's bones whenever they hugged.
Not that Angie cared. She loved snuggling against Bella's neck, inhaling the soft fragrance of her skin like it was an addiction.
"Bellaaaa~~ I want some Cola!" Angie whined, dragging out her words with an exaggerated pout that could melt an ordinary man's heart. Her long eyelashes fluttered, her voice syrupy and sweet.
Unfortunately for her, Bella was completely immune to this kind of act.
With a snap of her fingers—Da!—a glass of icy cola appeared on the table beside them. A long straw curved perfectly to reach Angie's lips.
"Thank you, bestie!" Angie chirped and planted a big kiss on Bella's cheek before lazily taking the straw in her mouth, sipping the cola without even lifting her head.
Bloop—bloop—
Tiny bubbles rose through the drink as she happily slurped away, her body half-draped over Bella's.
When Angie wasn't looking, Bella rolled her eyes. Most people grew wiser and calmer with age. Angie seemed to be doing the exact opposite—getting more childish by the day.
But deep down, Bella didn't hate it. In fact… she kind of liked it.
The beach glowed under the late afternoon sun. Angie lay sprawled across Bella in a barely-there swimsuit, soft curves pressed against her, her face buried against Bella's neck. Every now and then, she'd wiggle slightly to reach her drink.
Bella, ever the patient one, simply wrapped an arm around her friend and returned her attention to the floating magic grimoire hovering in the air above. The pages turned by themselves, whispering softly as lines of glowing runes shimmered in the sunlight.
Meanwhile, not far away, little Sally and their two pet companions had already taken off into the sky. They had long since grown tired of lying on the sand.
From high above came delighted giggles and the sound of wings slicing the air.
At first, the little cat, Nina, had been terrified—clutching Sally's chest, meowing pitifully. But soon she realized she couldn't fall. The fear vanished, replaced by awe. Her bright eyes reflected the wide ocean below as she batted happily at passing clouds.
Beside them, Cosmo the golden retriever floated in midair with all the grace of a professional swimmer. He didn't even need help—his natural ability, Flight, allowed him to glide effortlessly through the air like a furry jet.
The sea breeze carried laughter across the island as the small group drifted higher and higher.
Angie, lulled by the gentle wind and Bella's warmth, started to doze off. Her breathing slowed, her head resting softly against Bella's shoulder.
Bella glanced at the little ones, now mere dots in the sky. She didn't worry.
After all, few beings in the universe could threaten Sally or Cosmo.
Sally's power had grown monstrous. Her mind alone could erase matter from existence. Even her physical body was beyond enhanced—faster, stronger, and more durable than even Captain America himself. When she fought, all cuteness vanished, replaced by a terrifying, cold precision.
If Thor faced her now, even he might lose. Under the rank of the Heavenly Father, Sally was untouchable.
As for Cosmo—the loyal golden retriever—his powers had also advanced rapidly. His energy shields could withstand attacks from gods, nearly impossible to break even by sub-Heavenly beings.
Together, Sally and Cosmo formed a duo so unstoppable that only a true God-Tier being could challenge them.
And even if someone tried, Bella had prepared for everything.
Around each of their necks glimmered a small, intricately designed necklace—a set of enchanted charms crafted by Bella herself. These necklaces weren't mere accessories. Each carried layered defensive spells, magical tracking, and counterattack runes.
Her old instincts—the paranoia of her previous life—had never left her. She always believed in overkill protection. Firepower was never enough.
"Huuuh~"
A faint warmth tickled Bella's neck. She turned her head slightly. Angie had fallen fast asleep, her lips parted, her breathing slow and steady.
Bella couldn't help but smile.
"This idiot…" she whispered softly.
Still, there was something comforting about it—the peaceful moment, the sun, the sea breeze, and her sleeping friend. For someone who had seen galaxies burn and gods fall, moments like this felt rare and precious.
Bella leaned back in her chair, letting the sound of waves blend with Angie's rhythmic breathing.
High above, the floating book shimmered faintly before closing on its own. The air around them quieted, the island returning to a tranquil calm.
Even the giant orange beast in the jungle remained prostrate, too terrified to move. The natural order had shifted, and everything on this island knew who ruled it now.
Bella—the divine predator—had claimed this paradise without even lifting a hand.
And so, on the quiet shore, as the crimson sunset bathed them both in gold, Bella closed her eyes.
The world could wait. For now, she would rest.
Because sometimes, even gods needed peace.
