Chapter 195 - Chapter 195: Frightened Nina the Little Princess

The sea stretched endlessly, its waves brushing against the sandy shore in gentle rhythm. The sunlight scattered across the water like liquid gold, while the beach glittered with shells that shimmered like scattered jewels. Everything here breathed peace — calm wind, warm sun, and the lazy heartbeat of nature itself.

On this tranquil morning, Angie stirred awake. She was curled up against Bella, sleeping as comfortably as a child in her mother's arms. The moment her eyes opened, Angie yawned and rubbed them with tiny fists. Then, without a hint of shame, she leaned over and planted a kiss on Bella's cheek, ignoring the mock look of disgust from her companion.

"Morning already?" Angie stretched her arms, arching her back like a cat basking in sunlight. The sea breeze swept through her messy hair as she took a deep breath of the salty air. Though she'd only slept for an hour, she felt wonderfully refreshed — energetic, alive, and slightly… hungry.

She glanced down at the sleek silver watch on her wrist. It was already past eleven. Her stomach growled like a drum.

"Time for lunch, my dear Bella," she said cheerfully, rubbing her belly. "I'm starving! And today's barbecue is going to be amazing."

Bella didn't respond immediately. She stood by the edge of the waves, her long hair dancing in the wind, golden eyes glowing faintly. She didn't need to eat — not anymore. Her divine energy could sustain her for years without food. But appetite was a human habit that never truly disappeared.

"Today's ingredients aren't from Earth," Angie continued, her eyes sparkling. "They're from this planet. Imagine it! Alien meat!"

She recalled the enormous seabird they had seen the day before — its wings wide enough to shadow the ocean, muscles rippling with raw strength. To Bella, it was a majestic creature; to Angie, it looked absolutely delicious.

Thinking of its plump, tender flesh made her mouth water.

Bella's magic grimoire floated beside her shoulder, flipping its pages with a faint hum of energy before vanishing into light. She turned slightly. "You're in luck," she said. "Little Sally has already found us food."

"Food?" Angie blinked. "Wait—really?!"

Bella pointed toward the horizon. Angie squinted into the distance, where a small black dot was growing larger by the second. The sound of rushing air filled the sky. Within moments, Angie's jaw dropped.

Flying toward them was a massive creature, larger than any elephant — a monstrous beast weighing over ten tons. Its shape resembled an enormous wild boar, but its back was covered with gleaming, jagged spikes. Curved tusks jutted forward like twin swords, sharp enough to shred steel.

But the beast was lifeless. Its body floated under the control of invisible energy. On its head sat Little Sally, the tiny witch-in-training, holding her usual companions — the blue-furred cat Nina and the dog Cosmo — as if she were the captain of some bizarre airship.

Sally waved excitedly as the beast descended through the clouds. "Sister Bella! Sister Angie!" she called out.

The giant boar thudded onto the sand, shaking the ground. Sally hopped down, cheeks flushed red from the sea breeze. She floated over to them like a proud child bringing home a prize catch.

Nina, the big blue cat, leapt from her arms and dashed toward Bella, meowing loudly. The poor creature looked traumatized, fur puffed up like a frightened puffball.

Bella caught her pet mid-leap and chuckled softly. "What's wrong, little princess?"

Nina buried her face against Bella's neck and meowed again, trembling. Her round golden eyes darted nervously toward the fallen beast.

It was clear — she had been terrified during the flight.

Despite being adored by everyone and accustomed to comfort, Nina had always been a delicate soul. She'd traveled across worlds with Bella, seen countless wonders, yet large predators still frightened her. Her instincts screamed danger whenever something huge appeared.

Bella stroked her soft fur until the cat's trembling subsided. "There, there. You're safe now."

Meanwhile, Angie ran straight toward the beast, eyes gleaming with excitement. "Wow! Look at this thing! It's huge!" she said, circling it like a hunter admiring her catch. "Bella, come here! We need to take this apart before lunch!"

Bella laughed lightly. "Leave it to me."

---

Ten minutes later, smoke rose from a makeshift grill on the beach. The scent of roasting meat filled the air, rich and savory. Large chunks of the beast's flesh sizzled over the fire, skewered on thick wooden sticks. Bella sprinkled a mixture of spices and herbs across them, her magic adjusting the temperature to perfection.

The result? Perfection itself.

Angie sat cross-legged by the fire, eyes glowing. "It smells amazing! Hurry up, I can't wait anymore!"

Beside her, Cosmo wagged his tail eagerly, drooling all over the sand. His tongue lolled out as he stared at the roasting skewers, completely mesmerized.

Bella smiled teasingly. "Alright, greedy cats — eat up before you start crying."

Angie reached out, snatched a skewer, and took a big bite. "Ahhh—hot! Hot! But—mm! It's so good!" she mumbled through the food, refusing to spit it out even as her tongue burned.

"Delicious!" she managed between gulps.

Sally took her own portion, her eyes lighting up in joy. "Yummy!"

Even Cosmo got a piece, happily chomping down and wagging his tail so fast it blurred.

Nina, on the other hand, sat sulking near Bella's feet. Her nose twitched, and her tail flicked impatiently. The smell of meat was driving her mad, but no one was offering her any.

"Meow~" she whined, rubbing her face against Angie's leg first.

But Angie ignored her, too busy devouring her second skewer.

Offended, Nina turned her charm toward Bella, rubbing her furry cheek against her boots and purring loudly.

Bella sighed, defeated by that adorable act. "Alright, alright, you win."

She handed the cat a small, cooled piece of meat. "Here, princess. But chew slowly."

"Meow~!" Nina purred happily, gobbling it up in seconds.

Bella chuckled. The cat's appetite had grown over the years — no longer a fragile little creature. The necklace around Nina's neck, infused with Bella's divine power, had strengthened her body immensely. She wasn't just an ordinary pet anymore.

When Bella had ascended to God-Father level, she had refined both Angie and Nina's bodies with her divine energy. Angie's strength now rivaled small deities, and even Nina's durability far surpassed any earthly animal.

Eating magical beast meat wouldn't hurt her in the slightest — in fact, it was good for her.

"This creature's meat is powerful," Bella explained as she turned another skewer over the fire. "Anyone who eats it regularly will grow stronger. Even you, Nina."

The blue cat meowed proudly, puffing out her chest before curling back into Bella's lap.

As they ate, the sun began to sink low, painting the sea with streaks of crimson and gold. Waves lapped gently at the shore, washing away the traces of the morning's hunt.

Angie leaned back against a log, licking her fingers. "This is the life. Sunshine, sea breeze, alien barbecue…"

Sally laughed. "And company."

"Exactly," Angie grinned. "Nothing beats good food with friends."

Bella smiled at them quietly, the wind carrying the scent of the ocean through her hair. The simple warmth of the moment felt almost sacred.

For once, there were no battles, no gods, no cosmic crises — only laughter, food, and the glow of the fire.

Nina purred contently, curling into a fluffy ball at Bella's feet, the fear she'd felt earlier now long forgotten.

She was, after all, the little princess of this strange, beautiful world — frightened one moment, adored the next.
