~Aaron's POV
I pulled a colorful book from the shelf in the room, the one with all the pictures and animals they loved, and opened it on my lap. "Okay," I said, "let's see… this one's about a little fox who goes on a big adventure."
Their eyes widened, and they leaned in close, elbows on the bed, chins in their hands, utterly captivated. I started reading, my voice soft but expressive, letting the characters come alive, using silly voices for the animals, and exaggerating the sounds. Jasmine giggled when the fox tripped over a log, and Hanith pointed excitedly at the illustrations, shouting out what he noticed.
I continued reading, keeping my voice low but lively, making sure to add little pauses and expressions. The moment I said, "The little fox tiptoed carefully through the forest," Jasmine squealed, "Dad, tiptoe!" Show us how he tiptoes!"
