~Aaron's POV
They both looked at me at the same time and said, "It's not our fault; it's theirs!"
I laughed, shaking my head again. "Alright, how about this… we pick something together. Something you both agree on."
They both looked at the screen again, a little quieter now, but still whispering and debating.
And as I sat there between them, with their heads pressed close to mine, their little voices arguing over toys and gifts, I couldn't help but feel it again…
This small, warm, messy kind of happiness.
The kind that sneaks in quietly and just stays.
We kept going back and forth for a while, the two of them arguing like their lives depended on it, and I just sat there in the middle, scrolling slowly and trying not to laugh too much.
"Okay, okay," I finally said, raising my voice just a little so they would listen. "I have an idea. Since both of you clearly have very strong opinions…" I paused, looking from one to the other. "…Why don't we get two gifts?"
