And when Hanith's ring landed again, he jumped excitedly. "See? I told you I am better!"
Jasmine rolled her eyes. "You just got lucky," she replied quickly.
Aaron chuckled softly beside them. "Both of you are doing well," he said, his voice calm but proud.
I folded my arms lightly, smiling as I watched them, feeling something warm settle in my chest. The way they laughed, the way they competed, and the way Aaron looked at them… it felt simple, but it also felt like something I didn't even realize I had been missing.
Aaron watched them for a moment longer as they finished the last round of the ring toss, both of them still arguing about who was better, who deserved more praise, and who had the "real" win. He shook his head slightly, amused, and then clapped his hands once to get their attention.
"Alright," he said, his voice calm but playful. "Since you two are now champions, we should move to another game."
