~Katherine's POV
I laughed softly and left the twins, heading back to my room. I had barely settled when I heard a knock. I frowned slightly and walked to the door. When I opened it, a woman stood there, smiling politely.
"Good morning," she said. "I'm the hairstylist and makeup artist."
I blinked. "Excuse me?"
"I was called to come and prepare you," she continued.
"I didn't call anyone," I said, confused.
"And I did."
I turned immediately. Aaron stood there, walking toward us calmly.
"You?" I asked.
He nodded. "Yes."
"Aaron…" I started.
He stopped in front of me, his gaze steady. "I want you to look your best," he said. "You're going to that party, and I want my woman to stand out."
I stared at him for a moment.
"My woman?" I repeated slowly, the words sitting differently in my chest than I expected, because it was not just what he said but how easily he said it, like it was something he had already accepted fully.
He did not look away. "Yes," he replied calmly.
