~Katherine's POV
Hanith glanced at me with a serious expression. "Mommy, we're going to build the tallest tower ever! Daddy would love it!"
I laughed, feeling a warmth spread through me. "Then let's make him proud together, okay?"
The next few rounds were the most competitive. Towers wobbled dangerously, hands shook slightly, and the twins squealed in delight whenever something fell.
Finally, after what felt like a hundred rounds of stacking and collapsing towers, I sat back, hands on my knees, and let the twins collapse beside me, both panting and flushed with excitement. "You both did amazing," I said, smiling. "Those were the best towers I've ever seen."
Jasmine leaned against my shoulder, exhausted but happy. "I love this game, Mommy. Can we play it again tomorrow?"
Hanith grinned, his eyes sparkling. "Yeah! And maybe Daddy can play too next time!"
I swallowed hard, feeling the pinch in my chest again, and nodded. "Of course. I promise, we'll play again."
