I leaned over the long table in the police station, the soft hum of the monitors and the faint tapping of keyboards filling the space, but my focus was absolute. My secretary, David, and the head of my security team were all present, eyes darting between me and the screens, while my mind raced faster than any of them could keep up with. Every single detail of the investigation had been compiled for me, the location leads, the surveillance feeds, the background checks on anyone who might have been involved, and I had gone through them all meticulously, not missing a single piece.
