~Aaron's POV
I watched Katherine take her first bite, eyes widening slightly, and I felt a small thrill of pride. "So… how's it?" I asked, trying not to sound too eager.
She smiled at me, then at the twins. "It's… really good," she said softly. "Better than I expected."
Mathew leaned back in his chair, his eyebrows raised, and gave me a small nod. "Yep. This is solid work, Aaron. You and the little ones get a thumbs up from me."
The twins, of course, had already decided that their own thumbs counted too. "Two thumbs up, Daddy!" Hanith shouted. Jasmine was even louder, almost hitting the table with her small fists in excitement. "Three! Three thumbs up!"
I laughed and shook my head, feeling a warmth in my chest that went beyond the food. This was our little family. Messy, loud, chaotic, but ours.
Then Mathew tilted his head, peering at me with a grin. "So… when's this wedding happening? You're finally putting a ring on it?"
