Ultimately, the Earth King couldn't bring himself to execute all the Dai Li, but he still obediently disbanded the organization, splitting its members into various units under the Council of Five and completely dissolving the Dai Li as a force.
Meanwhile, upon hearing the news of Azula and her two companions' capture, Iroh and Zuko rushed back immediately.
"It's a good thing you found them in time," Iroh said calmly. "Otherwise, our side would have been in real danger."
Iroh knew Azula's power well. If Kahn hadn't dealt with them the moment he did, she truly might've been able to overturn the entire situation.
Zuko, however, was more concerned about something else.
"Where are they being held now? Can I talk to them?"
Azula was still his sister, and now that she was imprisoned, he couldn't pretend he didn't care.
And deep down, he was holding onto a small hope—maybe he could persuade at least one of them to join their side.
Surprisingly, this went far more smoothly than expected. After speaking with him, Ty Lee and Mai immediately abandoned Azula and defected without hesitation.
Not only that—Zuko even found love, with Mai naturally becoming his partner.
Watching Zuko and Mai together, Iroh wore the gentle, satisfied smile of a father.
Kahn, meanwhile, blinked in mild surprise—he hadn't expected Zuko and Mai of this world to only now confirm their relationship.
While Zuko and Mai were quietly wrapped up in each other, Ty Lee bounced over to Kahn. With her hands behind her back and her big eyes shining, she greeted him:
"Hey handsome, your name is Kahn, right? I'm Ty Lee. Nice to meet you!"
"Actually, I'm super curious—why do you know chi blocking like me? Can you tell me?"
Ty Lee was as lively and adorable as ever, no different from the Ty Lee in his home world.
And with Mai and Ty Lee now here as well, Kahn truly felt like things were starting to feel familiar again.
Kahn smiled, "If I told you that another world's you taught me, would you believe it?"
Ty Lee giggled, "Ohh, are you trying to tell me a fantasy story? If that's really true, shouldn't you call me Master?"
"No, no. My master isn't you, but the you from another world. That's completely different."
Kahn's serious delivery made Ty Lee burst into laughter again.
She thought he was messing with her—successfully, she admitted. He was interesting… charming, even.
Watching Zuko and Mai being all lovey-dovey, Ty Lee suddenly wondered if she should start dating too.
And then she looked straight at Kahn—bright-eyed, curious, and clearly contemplating something.
Kahn didn't notice the shift in her expression, because Mai's next words grabbed everyone's attention.
"Although we agreed to join your side, there's something I need to make clear first."
Mai's tone was blunt.
"I'm not willing to fight Azula. If you let her escape, then our cooperation ends."
Hearing that, Ty Lee added softly, "Yeah… same for me."
Kahn raised an eyebrow.
"Why? Your relationship with Azula isn't exactly great."
"How could this be about having a good relationship?"
"Then… fear?"
"…Partially."
Mai sighed.
"Did you really think Ty Lee and I joined Azula because we wanted to? We were threatened. I am afraid of Azula, because I know exactly how terrifying she is."
"And my father is an official of the Fire Nation. That means he's basically a hostage. Unless you completely defeat the Fire Lord and overthrow his rule, I'm not tying myself to your ship permanently."
She was calm as always. And after hearing her explanation, everyone understood her and Ty Lee's stance.
Zuko said, "Next, I'm going to talk to Azula. She's my sister. What if we can reach an understanding?"
"Impossible. That's a waste of time," Mai replied coldly.
But Zuko insisted on trying. At that moment, Kahn stood up.
"I'll go with you."
Mai and Ty Lee were being kept in regular cells—no bending, no danger.
But Azula was different. She was still a Firebender, and a powerful one at that, so her confinement was far more restrictive.
Azula sat on the ground in a solitary cell, head bowed.
Heavy shackles bound her limbs, allowing only minimal movement—just enough to make Firebending extremely difficult.
Her once-neat clothes were dusty and wrinkled.
Her hair—usually tied perfectly—was loose and messy, half covering her face.
She looked disheveled, miserable, stripped of the terrifying composure she always carried.
Kahn stood far back, out of her line of sight, silently observing.
He had never seen Azula like this—not even in his original world.
Though she wasn't his Azula, seeing her in this state stirred an unexpected heaviness in his chest. Sadness. Reluctance.
"Azula, I want to talk," Zuko said as he approached.
But as Mai predicted, persuasion was impossible.
Even restrained, Azula's words were razor sharp.
Zuko quickly lost his temper, the conversation devolving into a heated argument until he stormed out, her cold, mocking laughter following him.
Through all of that, neither Zuko nor Azula noticed one thing—
Kahn had slipped away at some point.

Kahn was now meditating in his room. More precisely, he was examining his Meditation Chakra.
Ever since Azula's earlier confession had shaken him, his Meditation Chakra had re-blocked.
This was the first time he'd checked himself afterward.
Earth Chakra – survival → blocked by fear
Water Chakra – joy → blocked by guilt
Fire Chakra – willpower → blocked by shame
Air Chakra – love → blocked by sorrow
Sound Chakra – truth → blocked by lies
Light Chakra – insight → blocked by illusion
Meditation Chakra – cosmic energy → blocked by attachment
But this time, after re-examination, he was shocked.
Only three chakras were blocked now—Earth, Sound, and Meditation.
Fear.
Lies.
Attachment to the mortal world.
Kahn frowned.
He knew all his inner conflict was tied to Azula… but how did these three fit in?
What fear?
What lies?
What attachment?
He was about to dig deeper when an excited voice echoed from outside—
"Flowery! Katara! You're back!" Toph shouted.
"Hey—what about me?!" another voice added.
And Kahn's meditation snapped open.
