Pain.
Unending soul deep agony. I don't even remember when it started or for how long I have felt like this. Then slowly or quickly it all disappeared.
I opened my eyes to a celing I did not recognise in a body I that was not my own. I squitned my eyes as I tried to move feeling pain from every part of my body. I tried to sit up and think about how I got here. In a body so small and yet so damaged.
I managed to limp over to a mirror and then I saw it. My face
No it should be the face of this body. Yellow hair, bright blue eyes almost disturbing bright and are those whiskers?
I stumble forward to get a closer look and then it hits me. All at once. Naruto. I'm in Naruto Uzumaki body. Then once again for the second time. That deep soul agony hits me as I fall unconscious once again.
*** FLASH BACK ***
In the middle of a street a young yellow haired boy only 3 or 4 years was walking downcast as once again he would have to go home hungry. He looked around but only received the same hateful and fearful looks back. He did not understand all he knew was he was some supposed demon fox. Which didn't make sense to him. He was human just like everyone else
*whack*
And so it begins. Once again the child was being stoned by passer-by. Rocks and rotten vegetables from all angles. He runs and runs. Attempting to escape but barely a street over he stumbles as a rock from semingly no where hits his ankle and he stumbles.
Unable to get up before the mob descends on him he is forced to get in a feral position as he is hit from all angles. Called all sorts of names. One particular comment he manages to catch over all the noise accuses him of killing his own parents and finally he can't take it anymore and attempts to responded.
For that brief moment of rebellion he relaxes his posture removing his guard from his neck where the mob to lost in their rage doesn't notice as a particularly burly man kicks him in his neck shattering 2 of his cervical vertebra completely paralysing him from the neck down.
Everyone freezes as they hear the resounding sound of bone shattering and as the hidden ROOT operatives move at apprehend the man and the rest of the mob scatters. The boy fades into unconsciousness panicking as he can no longer feel his limbs with the last words he hears being "That demon fox deserves it. I hope he finally dies".
The ROOT operatives panic as they realise the jinchūriki is truly harmed and the damage could be permanent. As they approach to assess the try severity of the damage they all freeze as they feel an unholy amount of malice surge out from the boy.
Across the village the Hokage is working in his office. He suddenly stops and looks out his window as he feels the 9 tails chakra once again. He fears the worst as he throws off his hokage robe to reveal a full combat gear hidden underneath. He immediately calls for the ANBU hidden and without wasting any time they all head out to the steadily growing chakra off in the distance.
Back at Naruto, the ROOT operatives are still wondering how to handle the situation. That is until the captain senses the hokage approaching so he immediately tells them to evacuate.
As the hokage arrives the notices the ROOT operatives leaving and grimace as he wonders if Danzo is the cause of this. As he is pondering the implications and how he is going to extort his so called 'best friend'. The surrounding ANBU call his attention to Naruto as he is now standing up.
The Hokage gets ready for combat by summoning Enma who he transforms into his adamantie staff form before he even understands the situation. They all tense ready for combat but something shocking happens.
The chakra stops growing and he just stands there. Then when they think it all over all the chakra. So think it's tangible collates onto his neck fusing all the neck bones back together. Once that was done the just face plants back onto the ground. Unconscious once again.
The third Hokage is surprised as he expected to battle the 9-tails but no nothing happens. He unsummons his monkey companion and orders Naruto be taken back to his room as he heads to the ROOT base to interrogate Danzo about what happened.
