Jiayu swallowed the dumpling in her mouth and pushed the plate in front of her: "Would you like to try it?"
Mu Ke shook his head and pushed the plate back: "I've eaten, you go ahead, eat slowly."
It might have been her imagination, but Jiayu always felt that Mu Ke seemed to have a certain other meaning when he said this.
Yet upon close observation, the man appeared calm, as if he was just saying something ordinary.
Jiayu picked up another dumpling and put it in her mouth, perhaps he was worried she might have indigestion, so he told her to eat slowly.
Mu Ke didn't cook much, just a total of seven dumplings. Jiayu was full after the fifth one; she had just put down her chopsticks when she heard Mu Ke ask, "What's the matter? Not tasty?"
"No, it's very tasty, just full, can't eat anymore."
Usually, if Jiayu couldn't finish her food, Mu Ke never forced her. Either it was wasted, or he would clean up for her. But today, Mu Ke frowned: "Only two left, keep going."
