UK:GSW Chapter 441 – The Possibility of Traveling to the Moon and Negotiating with the Otsutsuki Hamura Clan and Otsutsuki Kaguya

[Humans, do not confine yourselves to the Earth. Only the universe, only the stars, are where you truly belong. And in this journey of exploration, games are indispensable. Even on the moon, you should have the right to play games at any time.]

That was the functional description of this Earth–Moon spacecraft. It had enough stored energy for a single round trip between the Earth and the moon. To use it again, it would need to be recharged — capable of converting solar and electrical energy directly into fuel — with each recharge taking one year.

From this manual, Uchiha Kei instantly saw its real purpose: it was meant to be paired with the Mental Network fixed-point signal transmitter.

Kei had already obtained two of these devices. Their biggest feature was the ability to stably receive ultra-long-distance Mental Network signals — essentially a portable, stable base station.

Though now largely replaced by floating base stations and Tailed Beast base stations, the transmitter's greatest potential use — being placed on the moon to act as a stable signal base — had never been realized.

After all, Kei couldn't reach the moon. Even though the moon in the shinobi world was different from Earth's and not as far away, it was still a considerable distance, unreachable without special means.

In the original Naruto story, Naruto and his friends traveled to the moon via a spatial passage created by Otsutsuki Toneri — a technology left behind by the Sage of Six Paths' younger brother, Otsutsuki Hamura.

Unless the Otsutsuki on the moon came to the shinobi world first, going there was almost impossible. Placing a transmitter on the moon was never even considered.

Now, however, things had changed. With this spacecraft, reaching the moon was no longer a problem. Even though the system's craft was designed for Earth's moon, it was locked to the moon — and Kei found that it automatically targeted the shinobi world's moon. The flight path couldn't be changed.

That made things interesting — it meant setting up a signal transmitter on the moon was now possible.

The problem was, the moon still had Otsutsuki living on it, and Otsutsuki Kaguya was sealed there as well. No one knew what might happen if a transmitter was placed there directly. So deciding how to use the craft would require consulting with others.

For now, Kei's attention turned to the last gold-tier reward item.

It was… a sundae ice cream recipe. Like the system-produced cola and coffee, it was a food with special properties.

Kei had never drawn one before — not even once in the system's gacha pool. This was brand-new.

And upon obtaining it, a new "illustrated book" page seemed to open in the system, showing recipes for strawberry sundaes, chocolate sundaes, and more — all delivered through the same distribution channel as the NEET Meal Set.

That in itself wasn't surprising. Kei had pulled far too many NEET Meal Sets already, and with the emotional value provided by the two shinobi worlds, he was producing plenty every day. Combined with several recipes he already had in reality, he could produce them directly, making them virtually inexhaustible.

Now, with the sundae recipes, the NEET Meal Set gained a new delicacy.

And like the cola and coffee, the shop now offered a limited monthly purchase of ice cream base mix, which could be combined with the recipe to produce system-grade sundaes.

Although the sundaes came in various flavors, their effects were identical: providing massive calories to the consumer, effectively sustaining them during intense physical or mental exertion, and sharpening the mind to maintain constant calm.

Basically, eating one gave you a buff that kept you calm for a set time, while greatly reducing stamina and energy drain — extremely useful.

Especially for those who needed to think deeply and creatively for long periods — a rare treasure.

Of course, the system's real purpose was obvious: keeping the brains of its game-developing workhorses clear and their energy high — another inhuman design.

But for shinobi, especially those in command roles, it was an undeniably top-tier good. Eat one before work, and your capabilities would spike.

Naturally, it could also be enjoyed casually — like eating one while gaming for better performance.

As always, the system prioritized taste. Beyond the sundae's sweet flavor, there was a special fragrance that lingered in the mouth, with a refreshing chill like cola, bringing incomparable joy.

Without hesitation, Kei used a standard gacha 10-pull 10 times, getting over a dozen sundaes of various flavors, then distributed them to those around him.

Tsunade, Kikyo, and Uchiha Naori each got one. His good friend Minato Namikaze and his girlfriend Kushina Uzumaki also got theirs, as did several others.

Even Uchiha Madara, currently the number-one fan of the NEET Meal Set, was not left out. Upon tasting it, Madara's eyes lit up, giving high praise before bluntly asking how to get more — his tone implying regular tribute from the juniors.

In this, Madara had cultivated an obsession rivaling his old devotion to the Eye of the Moon Plan.

Kei could only promise regular supply and that Konoha would soon set up a dedicated workshop to produce strawberry sundaes.

Naturally, due to ice cream's nature, Orochimaru's team would need to develop special preservation equipment, or it wouldn't taste right once melted.

Lastly, the well-behaved and quiet Uchiha Hikari, who had been staying at Kei's home without causing trouble, also received one.

She accepted the strawberry sundae with curiosity, sniffed it, took a small spoonful — then her eyes lit up, and she quickly finished it. Kei smiled, knowing she liked it very much.

When Hikari finished and looked at him hopefully, Kei spread his hands: "That was the last one."

She immediately looked disappointed.

Kei patted her head. "Don't worry. There will be more. As long as you keep attending school in the Mental Network world on time every day and participate in club activities, you'll never miss out."

Her disappointment turned to brightness — then to hesitation. "Why do I have to go to school in that genjutsu world? It's so strange there. It's peaceful, too peaceful. I'm not used to it…"

She couldn't hide her conflicted feelings.

Since rescuing her, Kei had placed her in an anime-style school world module inside the genjutsu network — living the life of a Japanese high school girl in a school named Sobu High, surrounded by teachers and students with vivid personalities.

Many familiar anime school archetypes were present, making it feel like a crossover anime world.

But Hikari wasn't a transmigrator — she didn't realize she was living the dream of countless anime fans. She just couldn't adjust to a setting where the biggest conflicts were verbal spats or light social exclusion — a far cry from the brutal world she knew.

If Kei hadn't removed her supernatural powers and denied her access to weapons, she might have caused bloodshed in such a peaceful environment.

Yet, for all her discomfort, she couldn't help yearning for it. Many times, sitting in class, she found herself wishing such a place could be real.

A girl raised in constant war could only deeply long for such a world.

Instead of answering her question directly, Kei asked, "Do you hate that school life?"

Hikari froze. After a brief silence, she shook her head. "No… If such a world and life existed in reality, it would be wonderful…"

Kei smiled. "Exactly. Isn't what we're doing now meant to make that a reality? It might take time, but we believe we can achieve it. So live and learn there — and when the shinobi world truly has the conditions for it, you could become a teacher, like that world's Hiratsuka Shizuka, bringing that beauty to future students."

Her eyes widened. "Can that really happen? And me, a teacher? That's impossible… Becoming like Hiratsuka-sensei is so hard…"

Kei withdrew his hand. "It's hard, yes — but that's why we should try, isn't it? Compared to killing in the Warring States Era, this is nothing."

She fell silent, then smiled warmly. "Okay… I'll do my best, Kei-nii."

Her smile was bright and genuine.

Kei nodded with satisfaction. Her life should be like this — not one of battle, even if she had the strongest Mangekyo ability.

After that, Kei created a small group chat and invited several people, explaining the spacecraft.

Naturally, discussion followed — the existence of a Byakugan-bearing Otsutsuki clan on the moon, and Kaguya's seal there, was no longer a secret. With both Black Zetsu captured and their secrets extracted, even the most hidden truths were out.

In the past, without a way to reach the moon, these matters were left alone. Now, with a way, many possibilities opened up.

For one, the Otsutsuki on the moon were Hamura's direct descendants, possessing pure Byakugan and the ability to awaken the Tenseigan, as well as preserving Six Paths-era technology and knowledge — all of which Orochimaru's team desired.

Through the moon, there was also the possibility of contacting the sealed Kaguya.

Though Kaguya was extremely dangerous — and there was still the problem of Black Zetsu — she was an enemy of the other Otsutsuki. That alone made her a potential ally.

The enemy of your enemy is your friend. Compared to the dangerous progenitor of chakra, the other Otsutsuki were far worse — they actively sought to destroy the shinobi world. Kaguya, in a sense, wanted to protect it.

Thus, she was not necessarily off the table for negotiation and alliance.

Of course, this applied only to the Kaguya of Shinobi World #2.

In the main world, her status as a true celestial princess and her stance toward other Otsutsuki was still uncertain. More confirmation would be needed before deciding how to deal with her there.
