Shurry's arrival in the timeline had generated numerous waves, and put Hestia's meeting with Ouranos on hold. Wanting to get to understand the situation a little better, Hestia called for a meeting right after everyone finished with their bath. So, with the entire Hestia familia present, along with Take familia, and Miach familia, the questioning began.
"So, Fenrir…" Hestia started, but didn't get to finish.
"I will permit you to use one of two names." Shurry interrupted real quick. "You may refer to me as Shurry, or Origin Wolf." He stated, so calmly it made the three gods blood run cold. "Fenrir is the name of a past life, Surely you wouldn't call a mortal by their previous life's name, right? Dishonoring the achievements made in both lives? And magnifying their individual mistakes?"
"No, you're right. So Origin Wolf… Pfft, why exactly did you come here?" Hestia asked, giggling slightly at the name.
"Well, in the time I came from Bell here arrived during our version of the Great Feud, though I'm sure he's explained that by now, given you've leveled him up to 7." Shurry yawned, with a slight wolven sound underlaying it. "Back then I joked about coming here to see for myself just how screwed this timeline was against the black dragon." He said, waiting to see if anyone would dare interfere with his words.
"And how bad is it, from your view? Also how do you know?" Take asked, with an inquisitive posture like this was an interrogation.
"Explain why you're hiding some truth as well." Hestia tried to force.
"Well, to be fair, the only truth I've hidden is that which shouldn't be said lightly." Shurry ended that line quickly. "As for how bad it is… It's hopeless. Your collective might the world over, would amount to at the absolute most, 1 and a half Maxims. And this is including Bell's new level." He continued. "In short there's a lot of work to be done."
"Origin Wolf, how much worse was the fight with the black dragon?" Bell asked, being the only other one present with a frame of reference.
"That's right you watched me slaughter Erebus back then… Hmm, If I had to choose which was easier, Erebus for sure. Not even close. Remember I was at my level of 9 at the time. Also a bit more than enraged too…" Shurry said, his face contorting into an expression the gods had heard tale about in Tenkai. "Though he was more annoying to fight, than the dragon. That massive lizard is just straightforwardly powerful. I'm not sure you'd understand the scale of difficulty unless you saw it for yourself… Yo, Ouranos, you can hear me right?"
"Yes, what is it?"
"Mind if I make one of those mirror thingys? It'll be easier to show them than to explain it verbally. Oh, and no need to worry about revulsion monsters, I eat those for breakfast, sometimes literally." Shurry asked, shocking the gods present.
"You can do it? Granted?"
"Sweet, alright here we go, moment of truth…" Shurry created a platform of light and began projecting the scene of the battle on it. "Hmm, it worked, neat."
"You mean you didn't know if you could do it?" Miach asked.
"Impressive, it's not exactly arcanum in nature, but it's enough to handle a mirror." Take noted.
While the gods were more curious about the fact he managed to pull it off, the mortals were watching his brutal fight with a dragon of impossible might.
"What level were you when you did this?" Bell stammered.
"Level 13, I'm now Level 14, and I can reach level 15 almost whenever I desire. But… that comes with complications." Shurry chuckled.
Once the fight had finished playing out, the only ones left standing were those who'd managed to reach level 5 or better. Purely out of spite for the idea of falling to their knees.
"It's no wonder you had a harem. Seeing something like that would make it hard not to have one. Even if it was just meant to keep random women out of your hair." Hestia said with a twitchy expression, shocked at her own words. "To think I could say something like that…"
"Ahahaha! Don't worry Hestia, you're not a bad woman for thinking that way. It's only natural for people to flock to the strong for protection, or just to be close to them." Shurry chuckled. "But if I'd had it my way, I would have only chosen Ardee. But after Hera came in with Alfia… That made it borderline impossible."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Well between Neze who was going to be the added spice in our relationship, Ardee and Zeus both said I should take a small harem if only to keep the pressure off. And that was after I killed that detestable pig Erebus."
"Erebus, you mean the guy that led Evilus against the city? And, Alfia, the silence from Hera familia who along with Zald assaulted the city?"
"Yes. They did that as a test. They're goal was to strengthen Orario, so they'd have a chance to overcome the dragon. However, the only group who hadn't utterly wasted it, was Astraea's familia. If that Juggernaut hadn't spawned, they would undoubtedly be the strongest familia around."
"Really?" Ryuu said through a trembling lip.
"Yes. I don't see how it would have gone otherwise. Ottar is a complete waste of space. Freya familia is objectively too self serving. Loki familia is filled to the brim with utterly inept weaklings who know nothing about what it means to pursue power. Had these two learned the lesson, and worked together, Ottar would be on his way to level 9 right now. And the others would be on their way to level 8, if they weren't already."
"That's…"
"Even then it still wouldn't be enough. The dragon is no push over. Though, I doubt this timeline's Erebus will pull the same stupid stunt. If he does, this timeline's Fenrir will break out and slaughter him a few thousand times." Shurry said with a smile. "Now then, I've wanted to ask for a little while now, but why are the two of you trying to cozy up to me?"
