Turning to face the dungeon entrance, the sight of a werewolf whose power seemed to distort the world around him, carried a ball of light. He let out a yawn and looked around to see that everyone had gathered, his lips curled into a smirk.
"I'll be right with you. Just give me a moment." Shurry said and then looked up, scanning the sky as if looking for something.
"What is he doing, Lord Ganesha?" Ilta asked, with a curious expression.
"Heh, with eyes like that, young man, I'm only more confident in your strength. I shall go down with you, for I am Ganesha!"
"That doesn't answer my question, Lord Ganesha."
Shurry ignored the desire to have a pose-off, for the moment, and then he found the place he was looking for, and let out a whistle.
"The last time I did something like this, I made a guess, and just let it go, now I can actually aim." He chuckled. And then brought the spirit before him. "I wonder if it's possible to do more than just sending her back to Tenkai." He wondered aloud.
Luna appeared from within him, to stand on her own now. "I'm much stronger now as well. Freeing Aria took quite a bit, this shouldn't be too hard now. Especially if we work together." She smiled, and several men and women alike fainted, with blushed expressions… They were simply not ready for something so perfect.
Shurry wondered for a moment, and then let Luna hold the light cage for a moment while he walked right up to Ganesha, face to face, and then he smirked. For the next several seconds, the two battled with poses, each showing off just how weird they can be. Eventually Ganesha sighed.
"I am Lord Ganesha, I admit defeat in this battle. You've truly developed into something quite good, Shurry." He spoke, and then chuckled. "So what do you want from me?"
"Can you look at that spirit's soul, and tell me if their contracted hero has reincarnated yet or not?" He asked. "My sight is good but even I can't see things that require knowledge of a time I wasn't around for."
"Ahahaha! Of course! Let me take a look…" Ganesha laughed. "Oh, I'm Ganesha by the way."
"And I'm Shurry by the way."
Ganesha laughed and Luna came closer, still smiling at the spirit contained within her light. She always wanted to help her kin, she couldn't help it. And Ganesha looked deep into the soul, he spent a few minutes checking with the past.
"Yep, they're reincarnated now. I think you'll be surprised, Shurry. I am Ganesha."
"Let me guess… He, or she, is here among this group of gathered members?" Shurry asked, receiving a nod and a thumbs up. "Alright then, guess I ought to at the very least give this a whirl." He chuckled, cracking his neck, and stretching.
Shurry began glowing, radiating a power bordering so close to the strength of the divine the pressure brought the average person to their knees.
He placed his hands around the light cage he'd made, and began… "Spirit Evolve."
A surge of magical power strong enough to disrupt some lower gods seals surge forth, coiling, and pooling together.
After several minutes of a shockingly horrifying show, the spirit he used his magic on began to recover their full sanity, and found themselves growing into a full sized adult body, conjuring clothing for themselves…
The magic vanished, and what was standing there another beauty, a spirit. A mid ranking one, but still a spirit nonetheless. Specifically a woman with a beauty attuned to that of the earth.
"Huh?" She spoke, blinking in confused thought. "But, how? I was devoured by a monster, right?"
"Yeah, you'd been corrupted for a long time. It's a real shame too, you suffered so much." Luna said with a tear coming to her eye. "I'm so glad, so glad we could save you this time."
"Huh, Luna, right? You're a young spirit and yet a Grand one?" The spirit blinked, reaching out, and then the two hugged. "Thank you. Thank you for saving me."
"I couldn't do it on my own, my hero did the heavy lifting."
"Hero?" The two parted from the hug. "My hero died… I… Should've saved him."
"Don't worry about that, Terra. I'm sure your hero has reincarnated."
"Yeah, I should go find them, and make a contract again… Or this guilt…" Terra looked around and instantly saw her hero. "You, what's your name?"
He stood up, as if something in his soul hadn't been wiped despite the numerous reincarnations, that was, instinct.
"Gareth Landrock. Lady Terra…"
"You are my hero's reincarnation, if you will it, shall we form a contract, once more? I can see you have some earth magic already, I can make it much stronger."
"I… I would be honored, Lady Terra."
"Then… wait… huh?" Terra uttered, looking around to see several gods just watching with various expressions, causing her to blush. She turned back to Luna with a panicked and confused expression. "Luna, what's going on? Why are there so many gods down here?"
"Pfft, this is the age of the gods. They walk among the mortals giving them something called a falna, and it's through this the mortals achieve the strength to fight monsters."
"Oh, so that's why there's so many people stronger than the heroes." Terra thought aloud and then ran over to Gareth. Then dove right inside his soul, causing a mixing of sorts that once it happened it was an instant effect.
"This… Hahaha, I could beat Ottar like this." Gareth chuckled, nervously.
"Don't get too excited Gareth." Shurry quickly stated, crossing his arms. "My training is no joke, you will be suffering. And so, to weed out the unworthy, I will perform a test, those who fail, will not be coming down with us."
Shurry performed a series of movements, at a certain speed, once he was done, he looked around and pointed out those who clearly didn't manage to pull off the proper expression needed.
"Alright, if I didn't point to you. Get ready, we're heading down to floor 66 and set up camp down there." A few wolves appeared, leaping out from his soul. "The gods will be riding on these good boys. The only thing that can harm you with those around is the crazy freaks on the 80th floor and below."
