Chapter LXXII: Caught in the Act
Kota sinks into the plush cushions of his chair, his fingers dancing across the keys of his laptop as he loses himself in the world of music. The soothing melodies wash over him, calming his mind and easing the tension that lingers in his muscles.
But just as he begins to relax, the familiar ping of a chat notification interrupts his reverie, pulling him back to reality. With a sigh, he shifts his attention to the screen, his curiosity piqued as he sees Eloise's name flashing on the display.
"Hey Kota! How's it going?" Eloise's message reads, her words filled with warmth and enthusiasm.
Kota's lips twitch into a smile as he reads her message, his heart skipping a beat at the sight of her name. Despite his initial reluctance, he can't help but feel a sense of excitement at the prospect of spending time with her.
"Hey Eloise! I'm just chilling out at home, listening to some music," he replies, his fingers flying across the keyboard.
"What's up?"

"I don't know, Eloise. I'm feeling pretty lazy today," Kota admits, his fingers hesitating over the keys.
"I'm not sure if I want to go out."

"Isn't that your man and that blonde coffee?" Natsuki asks, her voice tinged with curiosity as she watches the pair make their way towards the counter.
Hanako nods in agreement, her brow furrowing in confusion. "What are they doing here together?" she wonders aloud, her gaze flickering between Kota and Eloise with growing suspicion.
As they watch, Eloise's exuberance is impossible to miss, her laughter ringing out through the cafe as she clings to Kota's arm with a familiarity that leaves the group feeling unsettled.
"I don't like the look of this," Himari murmurs, her voice low with concern as she watches the pair interact.

"I'm going to follow them," she declares, her voice firm with resolve.

Meanwhile, Eloise panics as she realizes she's left without any clothes, her mind racing with embarrassment and fear. She frantically searches for a solution, her thoughts spinning as she struggles to come up with a plan.
But before she can come up with a solution, she's interrupted by the arrival of Himari, Natsuki, and Hanako, their mocking laughter echoing through the restroom as they discover her predicament.
Back outside, Kota waits anxiously for Eloise to return, his thoughts consumed by uncertainty. But when "Eloise" emerges from the restroom, he's taken aback by the sight of her.
"Eloise, are you okay?" he asks, his voice filled with concern as he notices her unusual behavior.
But before "Eloise" can respond, disaster strikes. As she bows down, her wig slips from her head, revealing her true identity to Kota.
Kota stares at her in shock, his mind reeling as he struggles to comprehend what he's just witnessed.
"Akiko? What are you doing here?" he asks, his voice tinged with confusion.
Akiko's heart sinks as she realizes the truth has been revealed.
"I did it because I didn't want to lose you, Kota," she admits, her voice trembling with emotion.
Kota's heart clenches with guilt as he realizes the extent of Akiko's feelings for him.
"I'm so sorry, Akiko. I never meant to hurt you," he says, his voice filled with remorse.
Akiko's eyes fill with tears as she listens to his apology, her heart heavy with sorrow.
"I forgive you, Kota. But, please don't forget me," she says, her voice filled with sadness.

"Thank you, Kota. For everything," she says, her voice choked with emotion.
Kota squeezes her hand gently, his heart swelling with love for his friends.

Something then slips in Kota's mind,
"Wait, what happened to Eloise then?"
Hanako, Himari, Natsuki, and Akiko share eye contact with one another and tells him,
"Tsk, don't matter about her, besides, we're already here"
"Oh well, can't compete with that attitude", as he indulges eating the pastry.
Meanwhile at the mall, a girl covered in toilet paper emerges from the cubicle. She then quells in frustration,
"I'll get my revenge on you, Akiko Chisai!! You'll never see the last of me!! Mark my words, I SHALL RETURN!!"
