They became known as the Dark Mages.
Legends claimed their power surpassed even the mightiest Arcanes. They wielded magic so overwhelming that many believed it rivaled the strength of the gods themselves.
No army could challenge them.
No kingdom could command them.
As centuries passed, the Dark Mages vanished without a trace, leaving behind only scattered records and forgotten myths.
Whether they had perished... or still existed somewhere in the darkness...
No one knew.

The memory faded.
The battlefield returned.
Smoke drifted through the ruined city as Arcane Knights continued pouring into the streets.
Kenya tightened her fists.
"That story is recorded in history too."
Ruke frowned.
"If it's true... then the Dark Mages possessed unimaginable power."
Eliz pointed toward the battlefield.
"We can discuss history later!"
She raised her staff.
"The Arcanes are coming!"
The group immediately turned toward the advancing enemies.

At the center of the battlefield, Shen and Adelaide clashed once again.
Their swords collided with explosive force.
CLANG!
Shockwaves rippled through the air as both fighters disappeared and reappeared in flashes of light.
Adelaide's crimson aura blazed fiercely.
Shen's blue energy answered with equal intensity.
Each strike shattered stone.
Each collision shook the battlefield.
Shen calmly studied Adelaide's movements.
Her attacks were powerful...
But no longer overwhelming.
"I've figured you out."
He stepped forward, his aura surging.
Blue light erupted around his body, engulfing his sword.
"I'll finish this now."
Adelaide smiled fearlessly.
"So will I."
With a powerful cry, she charged.
Dark energy gathered around her arm before exploding into a devastating strike.
Shen didn't retreat.
Instead, he met her attack head-on.
Blue and crimson energy collided.
The battlefield vanished beneath a blinding flash.
Kenya shielded her eyes.
"He did it!"
Ruke stared into the light.
"Shen's energy signature..."
His voice trailed off.
"...It's gone."
Eliz's heart pounded.
"Shen!"
Silence fell over the battlefield as the brilliant light slowly faded.
