Chapter 195 - The Eleventh Awakens, The Final Lesson, and the Figure Beyond Time

Chapter 180 — The Eleventh Awakens, The Final Lesson, and the Figure Beyond Time

The palace heartbeat continued.

Morning light spilled across the ancient courtyard as Shen stood opposite Synthia. The Architect watched silently from the stone platform while Lare floated nearby, unusually quiet.

"Final day," Synthia said.

Shen nodded.

"I'm ready."

"No," Synthia replied calmly. "You are becoming ready. There is a difference."

The Architect slowly rose.

"Today," it said, "I teach."

A faint white pulse spread across the courtyard.

"The eleventh Arthas Symbol... Resonance."

Shen felt something deep inside his chest answer.

The ninth symbol glowed.

The tenth symbol answered.

Then—

A third rhythm.

Not complete.

Not formed.

Only a heartbeat.

The Architect looked directly at him.

"It has begun."

A warm vibration spread through Shen's body.

Instead of becoming stronger...

Everything around him became clearer.

He heard every heartbeat inside the palace.

The stone beneath his feet.

The flowing hollow white energy beneath the mountain.

The breathing of Synthia.

Even Lare's small spirit core.

"They're connected..."

The words escaped him.

The Architect nodded.

"The Eleventh Principle."

Resonance.

"Nothing exists alone."

"The universe itself is built upon relationships."

The faint outline of an eleventh symbol briefly appeared beneath Shen's neck before disappearing again.

"It has accepted you," the Architect whispered.

---

Synthia stepped forward.

"Enough learning."

She raised her sword.

"Fight me."

Shen smiled.

"I've wanted to hear that."

The courtyard exploded.

Their swords collided.

BOOM!

The shockwave ripped across the palace.

Stone cracked.

Dust rose.

Unlike every battle before...

Neither moved.

Equal.

Synthia smiled.

"So."

"You've finally reached me."

Shen vanished.

Interval.

He appeared behind her.

She disappeared before his blade arrived.

Another clash.

Then another.

The courtyard became impossible to follow.

White flashes.

Silver arcs.

Exploding stone.

Neither gaining ground.

Neither retreating.

The Architect silently watched.

"So this is the carrier after Aran..."

Lare stared.

"I can't even follow them anymore..."

Synthia suddenly increased her speed.

Thousands of sword strikes filled the courtyard.

Shen closed his eyes.

The Ninth Symbol.

The space between attacks.

Every strike slowed.

Every opening appeared.

He stepped through them as though walking through falling rain.

The Tenth Symbol answered.

Not destruction...

Precision.

Each swing removed only unnecessary movement.

Nothing more.

Nothing less.

Synthia laughed.

"Excellent!"

Her aura erupted.

The entire courtyard shook.

Shen answered.

Hollow white energy burst from his body.

The palace walls glowed.

Far below...

The Source answered.

A pillar of white light shot upward beneath the mountain.

The Architect's eyes widened.

"It has responded..."

Their swords met one final time.

BOOOOOOM!!

The explosion tore away the courtyard floor.

A ring of pure white energy expanded across the palace before slowly fading.

Silence.

Both remained standing.

Neither victorious.

Synthia lowered her sword.

"I have nothing left to teach you."

Shen slowly lowered his own.

"I still have much to learn."

She smiled.

"And that is exactly why you'll survive."

---

The Architect walked toward Shen.

"You have exceeded every prediction."

"I believe so," Shen answered.

The Architect extended one hand.

"It is time for me to leave."

Lare looked surprised.

"So soon?"

"My task here has ended."

Shen bowed respectfully.

"Thank you."

The Architect nodded once.

Then stopped.

"There is one truth you deserve to know."

The courtyard became silent.

"The palace..."

"I built it."

"You already know that."

Shen nodded.

"But I was not its true creator."

Lare blinked.

"...What?"

The Architect looked toward the ancient forest beyond the mountain.

"The one you met."

"The Wolf King."

Shen's eyes widened.

"The Wolf King?"

"He is the true Architect."

Silence.

"He designed this sanctuary."

"I merely completed it."

Lare's glow flickered violently.

"Impossible..."

"The Wolf King... built the palace?"

The Architect shook its head.

"No."

"He designed everything."

"I was only his assistant constructor."

Shen stood speechless.

"The symbols..."

"Who created them?"

The Architect slowly closed its eyes.

"Not me."

"Not the Wolf King."

A long silence followed.

"The Arthas Symbols..."

"...were created by Artha."

Lare froze completely.

"...Artha..."

The Architect nodded.

"The Legendary Founder God."

"The first Protector of the Universe of Gods."

"The being who discovered the Hollow White Energy."

"The one who forged the eighteen principles."

"The one whose name became Arthas."

Shen whispered,

"So... Artha wasn't a myth..."

"No."

"He was real."

"He protected countless universes before disappearing beyond recorded existence."

Lare stared blankly.

"I studied history for thousands of years..."

"I thought he was only a legend..."

The Architect looked at him.

"Most believed that."

"But legends are usually memories whose details have been forgotten."

Shen looked toward the sky.

"So everything..."

"The symbols."

"The Source."

"The convergence."

"They all began with one man."

"One god," corrected the Architect.

"The greatest protector our universe has ever known."

---

A breeze crossed the courtyard.

The Architect smiled faintly.

"My work is finished."

White light surrounded its body.

"Shen."

"The path ahead belongs to you now."

The light disappeared.

The Architect was gone.

Only silence remained.

---

Shen looked upward.

"So this is the truth..."

Suddenly—

Everything stopped.

The wind froze.

Dust remained suspended.

Leaves stopped falling.

Even the palace heartbeat vanished.

Lare could not move.

Synthia remained frozen where she stood.

Time itself had ceased.

Only Shen could breathe.

A single footstep echoed through the silent courtyard.

...Tap...

Another.

...Tap...

A lone figure emerged from empty space.

Neither male nor female.

Neither old nor young.

Their presence erased every sound.

Shen instinctively tightened his grip on his sword.

"...Who are you?"

The figure smiled.

"I have been watching."

"You have finally reached the point where we may speak."

The frozen world remained perfectly still.

And for the first time since the journey began...

Someone had entered a world where even time itself obeyed them.
