The small group looked around the hallway with two doors: one on the near right and one on the far left, and a couple of bookshelves. "We'll need to be quick," Michelle said, which made the trio nod.
While the group walked forward, they heard Poppy humming her song with static in the background, which shocked them. Where is that coming from? Michelle thought.
Unbeknownst to the trio, Jack looked at the door on the right before stopping in front of it. Jack looked at the doorknob and placed his right hand on it before twisting it.
When Jack opened the door, he saw a room with white walls, a white desk, a tall white shelf, a couple of black cables on the light blue floor, and a large glass pane showing the music room, which shocked him. "Hey, isn't that the same room we saw Mommy in?" he asked.
The trio turned to Jack before approaching him; when they were near him, they looked at the room through the large glass pane. "It is..." Matthew said, lowly.
Michelle crossed her arms. "Just like in Home Sweet Home and in Testing and Conditioning; they're using one-sided windows to observe any of the toys that were inside this place," she said.
Kevin glared at the room with a slight growl. "I already hated this place to begin with, but now I just hate it more..." he said, lowly.
As Jack entered the room, he spotted a note on the desk before stretching his arm and grabbing it. After Jack retracted his arm, he stepped out of the room and held the note out to Michelle. "Found this on the desk," he said.
Michelle grabbed the note from Jack's hand with her right hand before reading it. "Sure enough... it's an observation log from Dr. Newman..." she said.
The trio looked at Michelle. "This subject's first day in this place didn't go so well; it's almost like they were claustrophobic. And they don't even acknowledge the researchers in costumes..." she continued.
Matthew looked at the note. "Yet two months later, the same subject is more confident in this place and even talks to the disguised staff like they're one of them," he said.
Kevin scoffed. "They really thought they could rely on this place?" he asked rhetorically. "One wrong move, and the trust you've built with them will bite you on the ass."
Michelle crumpled the paper before tossing it back in the room. "C'mon, we've wasted enough time," she said before walking away.
The trio nodded as Jack closed the door behind him before they caught up to Michelle. When the group turned left, they saw a bookshelf on the left with a star on the top left corner, a few books on the floor, a purple chair, and a small pink table with a note on top of it.
As the group approached the bookshelf, Matthew grabbed the note on the table before looking at it. "Seems like this is a journal log from Lily," he said. "Apparently she was venting out her frustration about why no one comes to her while destroying a room."
Kevin rolled his eyes. "Gee, I wonder why..." he said sarcastically, which made Jack giggle a bit.
Matthew squinted his eyes at the note. "Seems like after she calmed down, she covered the hole she created with a poster," he said before placing it back on the table.
Jack placed his finger against his chin. "I haven't seen a poster in this place at all," he said. "Where could it be?"
Michelle turned her head to the bookshelf and noticed an empty slot in the middle of the third shelf before looking at the plastic book in her left hand. "I have an idea where it's at," she said, which made the trio look at her.
Michelle turned to the bookshelf before placing the book inside the empty slot, which made the wall move a bit. "I see, it's a hidden room," Matthew said.
Jack looked at the wall and shot his arm toward it, which made it stick in place, before he started pulling on it a bit.
When Jack made an opening, the trio saw a blue room with a blue and yellow floral rug, a door on the left, a few chairs and tables, a shelf, a dresser with a small crate on top of it, and a Lily Lovebraids poster on the other side being held by tape.
Michelle stared at the room. "This is the room she created that hole," she said before looking at the door. "And that other door we saw leads to this room... she probably locked it too so someone wouldn't see it."
After Jack retracted his arm, he looked through the opening and spotted a Glowby, with Poppy humming her song on the other line, on a shelf next to a plastic lamp. "Hey, there's a Glowby on the shelf," he said.
Glowby made happy noises while they had stars in their eyes as the group entered the room and looked around.
Soon after, the humming from the Glowby on the shelf abruptly stopped, which surprised the group before they looked at it. "Shut it! You've always been a bad toy! When he gets here, he'll see it too!" Lily Lovebraids shouted before laughing a bit.
When the Glowby on the shelf went quiet, Kevin glared at them with a slight growl while his body bubbled a bit. "I really want to kill her..." he said, lowly.
Michelle looked at Kevin before holding his hand, which made him look at her. "I know it's tempting, but if you confront her now, that'll put all of us in jeopardy," she said.
Kevin remained silent and looked down before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. After Kevin exhaled, his body stopped bubbling before he opened his eyes. "I'm aware..." he said, lowly. "I'm just venting..."
Michelle stared at Kevin before sternly looking at the Glowby on the shelf. "But if she does refuse to join us, you'll get that chance very soon," she said.
Kevin looked at Michelle before grinning a bit. "Looking forward to it," he said.
Matthew looked at the poster on the wall. "Before we do anything in this room, we'll need an escape route," he said before looking at the trio. "Moving the wall as it is would be a nuisance for the others."
Michelle nodded. "Kev and I can check around the hallway and see if there's a possible route," she said.
Matthew nodded as the couple approached the opening; after they went through it, they looked around. "Well, we know the door you three went through is out of the question," Michelle said. "What other place can we go through?"
When Kevin looked up, he spotted a large blue hatch with a purple handle. "Misha," he said, which made Michelle look at him. "Up there."
Michelle looked at the hatch. "That must lead to an attic," she said as she aimed her left arm at the handle. "Let's see what you have to offer."
The blue hand shot from Michelle's wrist and grabbed the handle before pulling it open. After the blue hand retracted back to Michelle's wrist, the couple looked at the opening and saw a panel on the wall. "A magnetic panel; that's a good start," she said.
Before Michelle did anything, Kevin carried her in his left arm, which surprised her. "You haven't forgotten about little old me already, have you?" he asked teasingly.
Michelle slightly grinned at Kevin. "Did you really think that I'd forget you that easily, Casanova?" she asked rhetorically. "You acted quicker before I could even ask."
Kevin chuckled a bit before he shot his right arm toward the roof, which made it stick in place, before he pulled himself and Michelle up.
Soon after, the couple saw a large room with multiple pieces of furniture, a makeshift ramp leading to a closed white flower-like plastic window, a couple of blue chests with yellow stars, and a heat panel on the wall.
Kevin looked at the makeshift ramp. "We could probably make an opening, but that's gonna make a lot of noise if we destroy it," he said before looking at Michelle. "But you're wanting to be discreet about it, right?"
Michelle stared at the wall before glaring at it. "While I would like to be discreet about it, she decided to make it personal when she threatened someone from our group," she said, which surprised Kevin. "Once we have Poppy and Kissy in tow, you can go all out on it for all I care."
Kevin stared at Michelle before grinning. "Sounds like a plan to me," he said as he landed on the ground before retracting his arm.
After Kevin placed Michelle on the ground, she looked around the room. "There's a bunch of stuff in here too," she said before looking at the blue chest next to them. "Might be best to clear up the clutter too."
As Michelle lightly kicked the star part of the chest, the top of it opened, which surprised the couple before they looked at one another.
When the couple carefully looked inside the chest, they saw a yellow cassette tape on top of a small box. "A cassette tape in a place like this," Kevin said.
Michelle picked up the cassette tape and opened the white part on Glowby before putting it inside the slot. "Let's see what's on it," she said as she closed it.
When Michelle pressed the red button, the couple heard banging from Glowby. "Miss Graaaaaaacie," KickinChicken said.
"Open the door, we won't hurt you!" Hoppy Hopscotch shouted.
Michelle stared at Glowby. "...all of them, I think; I don't know how many," Ms. Gracie said. "They took apart Robertson; they literally took him apart, Todd."
"Just sit... security forces will get you..." Todd said before the couple heard some static from Glowby for a bit. "...goddamn— mass casualties in the Game Station."
Kevin glared at Glowby with a slight growl. "Don't tell me to sit, Todd. These little monsters are trying to kick down my door," Ms. Gracie said.
"Open the door, Miss Gracie. We just want to play," Baba Chops said.
"Yeah! The friends are all here. Let's spread some JOY all over that room!" Hoppy Hopscotch shouted.
Michelle stared at Glowby, slightly disturbed. "You hear them?" Ms. Gracie asked.
"Come be the joy the world needs," KickinChicken said.
The couple heard loud banging and faint screeching in the background along with static. "...another breach on four... forty meters... closing," Todd said.
"Todd?!" Ms. Gracie shouted.
"They're in the damn room. How are there so many of them...!!" Todd shouted as the couple heard roaring in the background before it went silent.
"Todd?! TODD?!" Ms. Gracie shouted.
The couple heard silence from Glowby until the door abruptly opened in the background, which made Ms. Gracie scream. "Get back... GET BACK!! I was just... I was just trying to make you all happy..." she said. "I wasn't... please... DON'T HURT ME!!"
The couple stared at Glowby. "We're not gonna hurt you, Miss Gracie. We have something special planned for you," Baba Chops said.
The couple heard laughter from Glowby, while Ms. Gracie screamed and pleaded for her life before she was dragged away, screaming bloody murder until the cassette tape stopped playing.
The white part on Glowby opened, which made Michelle pull the cassette tape out of it before closing it. "A fate worse than death indeed..." she said, lowly, before looking down and trembling a bit. "I don't even want to think what he'll do to me..."
Kevin glanced at Michelle before wrapping his arm around her and pulling her close, which surprised her before she looked at him. "That shit ain't gonna happen; I'll make sure of it..." he said.
Michelle stared at Kevin with a slight blush before smiling. "Thank you," she said.
Kevin smiled at Michelle as he pulled his arm away before looking at the heat panel on the wall. "That panel should let you burn that poster," he said.
Michelle looked at the heat panel. "Good idea," she said before tossing the cassette tape back inside the chest.
Michelle twisted the knob, retracting the Pressure Hand inside her arm, and the Conductive Hand appeared before she aimed her right arm at the heat panel.
The Conductive Hand shot from Michelle's wrist and touched the heat panel, powering it up, before it retracted back to her wrist. "Time to go," she said.
Kevin nodded before the couple jumped through the opening, activating the air jets on Michelle's shoe braces, before they landed on the ground and approached the opening.
The duo looked at the couple as they entered the room. "Step away from the poster," Michelle said as she aimed her right arm at the poster.
As the duo stepped back, the Conductive Hand shot from Michelle's wrist and touched the poster, burning it and the tape to ash and revealing an opening to the catwalks.
Michelle retracted the Conductive Hand back to her wrist. "There's a hatch in the hallway that leads to an attic," she said before looking at Matthew. "Though, we'll need to make an opening for it first."
Matthew hummed a bit. "If we don't have any other choice, then so be it," he said before looking at the crate and stretching his arms toward it.
Matthew grabbed the crate and pulled it toward him before placing it next to the opening. "Jack, you take the lead; we'll follow behind," he continued.
Jack nodded. "Leave it to me," he said before approaching the crate and climbing on top of it.
After Jack went through the hole, Kevin looked at Michelle. "You're up," he said.
Michelle nodded before approaching the crate; in the dining hall, the group was tossing around the beach ball while Yarnaby followed it when it was in the air.
Mommy Long Legs caught the beach ball, giggling. "What's wrong, Huggy? It seems like you're losing your edge," she said before tossing it toward Huggy Wuggy, which made Yarnaby chase it.
Huggy Wuggy smiled as the beach ball got near him. "Huggy getting warmed up!" he shouted before hitting it toward CatNap, which made Yarnaby chase it.
CatNap caught the beach ball with his tail before throwing it toward Katelynn, which made Yarnaby chase it. Katelynn smiled at Lily Lovebraids. "Here it comes, Lily!" she shouted before she hit the beach ball with her right hand, which made Yarnaby chase it.
Lily Lovebraids smiled and hit the beach ball toward Mommy Long Legs, which made Yarnaby chase it. "They're all so happy being here," she said before jumping a bit. "This day is just getting better!"
The hair holding Candy Cat's head got close to Lily Lovebraids. "They're acting a little different than when we first met them..." she said in a lower-pitch voice.
Lily Lovebraids looked at Candy Cat's head. "Maybe after spending some time in here, they've finally come out of their shells and love this place!" she shouted.
The hair holding Candy Cat's head turned to the stairs. "And yet, there are a few people that aren't with us..." Lily Lovebraids said in a lower-pitch voice.
Lily Lovebraids glanced at the stairs. "That's a good point..." she said, lowly, before looking down with a slight frown. "Where did they go? Are they planning an escape route? But they haven't seen the Special Guest yet..."
After Katelynn caught the beach ball, she glanced at Lily Lovebraids and noticed her expression, which made her panic on the inside. Crap, she's getting suspicious about their disappearance, she thought.
Katelynn thought of something and held the beach ball with her tail before wrapping her arm around Lily Lovebraids, smiling, which surprised her. "C'mon, Lily; turn that frown upside down!" she shouted. "I'm sure they'll join us eventually."
Lily Lovebraids stared at Katelynn before looking down, contemplating. When Lily Lovebraids looked at the rest of the group, most of them were smiling and nodding while Yarnaby sat on the ground staring at the duo.
Soon after, Lily Lovebraids smiled and nodded. "Yeah, you're right!" she shouted before looking at Katelynn. "Let's keep playing, Doozy Suzy!"
Katelynn smiled as she held her tail out to Lily Lovebraids, which made her grab the beach ball. After Katelynn unwrapped her tail around the beach ball, Lily Lovebraids tossed it toward CatNap. "Here!" she shouted, which made Yarnaby chase it.
While the group continued playing catch, most of them glanced at Lily Lovebraids with disdain. Please hurry... they thought.
