Peter Parker of Earth-TRN011 was currently dozing. Moments ago, Wolverine—whom Peter had literally torn in half during their battle—had recovered and attempted to fight him again while wearing a symbiote suit. Ultimately, Venom Spider-Man defeated Wolverine once more. To prevent the old wolf from making a comeback, Spider-Man had unceremoniously webbed him up and hung him from the side of the Empire State Building.
As for now, he simply wanted to take a well-deserved rest in this city of his.
All of New York was covered in symbiotes. After Venom's abilities spiraled out of control and Spider-Man finally killed him by detonating a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, a massive amount of symbiote fragments had scattered across the city. They all answered to the command of Symbiote Spider-Man. Only a few hours after he had chosen this path, another Spider-Man wearing a black suit appeared in his universe and introduced him to the so-called "Web-Warriors."
He hadn't cared much for the stranger's words until one point was made: you can truly become the master of all symbiotes.
Of the ones in this world, at least.
After a long negotiation and a chaotic brawl between two impatient Symbiote Spider-Men, he finally accepted the deal. Every symbiote spawned from Venom could now be governed by his consciousness. Every person infected by a symbiote was now directly under the overlay of his thoughts and will.
He could easily feel the thoughts of every symbiote as influenced by their hosts; they converged together, making Symbiote Spider-Man feel as though he had become something far greater.
He used to blindly believe Uncle Ben's words—that with great power comes great responsibility. But back then, he hadn't known just how powerful power could be. Until now—
Hmm? Why are my symbiote lackeys disappearing so fast?
Symbiote Spider-Man stood up abruptly. "What's happening!"
Peter was strolling through this symbiote-covered New York. Every time he landed a punch on a grunt, every symbiote on the target's body would rapidly collapse. Any symbiote he touched died instantly. Consequently, Peter decided to play with a "cheat code": he let Anti-Venom manifest four tentacles, similar to Doctor Octopus's mechanical arms, and simply "swept" his way through the streets.
In a single move, dozens or even hundreds of symbiotes were eliminated, quickly revealing a crowd of ordinary people who had been parasitized. Seeing this, it wasn't just the symbiote grunts who were stunned; even this universe's Nick Fury was speechless.
"Should we... move in now?"
Maria Hill looked at her superior, her expression strained. They had exhausted all their efforts and fought for days just to stop an out-of-control Eddie Brock, only for Spider-Man to turn dark and become a Symbiote King—stronger and more terrifying to the point that S.H.I.E.L.D. had to retreat from New York.
And now, a Spider-Man from another universe shows up in an inverted Venom suit and starts playing a "Musou" game inside the symbiote horde?
What exactly had they been struggling for all this time?
The white Nick Fury remained silent for a long while before shaking his head helplessly. "Order everyone to prepare to move in. The main priority is to contain the personnel who have been cured of the infection. Also, tell everyone to be ready to face a larger symbiote legion."
Meanwhile, Peter, who was tearing through New York, finally encountered a slightly troublesome opponent. Vulture, completely covered in symbiote matter, came screaming down from the sky, but Peter dodged him with ease. He then stuck a web to Vulture's back, yanked the old man toward him, and delivered a solid punch.
"Honestly, I've forgotten who all is in this game. For instance, is there a symbiote version of the Sinister Six? Are they all really here?"
Under the strike from Anti-Venom, the symbiote covering Vulture's face began to wither rapidly. Peter ended his symbiote career with another definitive punch. He dropped the now peacefully sleeping Vulture onto the ground and spotted a Symbiote Electro charging toward him.
"How nostalgic. A classic-style Electro. No turning into a ball of lightning to fly around—and no running away!"
Peter's arm rapidly sprouted a mass of symbiote tentacles, forming a thick limb that hooked the mid-air Symbiote Electro and slammed him violently into the pavement. He knocked him unconscious in one go while simultaneously dissolving the symbiote on his body. Peter couldn't help but shrug. "Alright, who's next?"
Peter's Spider-Sense went off, signaling the arrival of a Spider-Man he hadn't met yet. He soon saw the local Spider-Man, dressed in his black suit and looking fierce, performing a "superhero landing"—though he was no longer a superhero.
"Nice suit. Black, slim-fit, and a bit cranky. Actually, I still quite like Venom, as long as he isn't the 'villain' version. Speaking of which, you showed up pretty fast. Where are your people—oh wait, your symbiotes?"
Symbiote Spider-Man remained silent for a moment before looking at Peter.
"You really talk too much."
"? Are you serious? You're telling a Spider-Man he's too noisy?"
"I don't know if you're some clone cooked up by the Jackal or some hothead from another universe. If it's the former, I'll kill you quickly. If it's the latter, you'd better crawl back to your own life immediately. And here's some advice: quit the superhero business."
"Don't be like that, pal." Peter shot a web that stuck to the other's shoulder. "Let's have a proper chat."
Symbiote Spider-Man turned his head and saw the symbiote on his shoulder beginning to dissolve rapidly. He chopped through the webbing with his hand, quickly commanded the symbiote to regenerate, and then lunged at Peter.
"There's nothing to talk about!"
During that brief exchange, Peter had confirmed one thing: like Carnage, every symbiote molecule on the opponent's body was independent of the others. This was why he hadn't been instantly killed by Anti-Venom. Defeating the enemy in front of him would be simple, but Peter was thinking about how to trigger a chain reaction—how to ensure that while crushing the central hub, he would also wipe out the entire symbiote collective.
If he merely defeated a Carnage-type in battle, it was meaningless. As long as a fraction of the organism remained outside, it could immediately multiply and recover, or even theoretically produce a massive army of grunts like the out-of-control Venom in Web of Shadows.
This was a perfect opportunity to experiment and see if he had a way to wipe out all the symbiotes in one fell swoop.
"Really nothing to talk about?"
Peter effortlessly dodged Symbiote Spider-Man's attack and landed a punch right in his face. "In that case, I guess the talking's over."
