"Spector, what happened?" Adam asked as he and Rowena heard her alert and also the sound of the gunshot.
[[A sniper just took a shot at Emma Hopkins, but Lorelie's bracelet transformed and protected her. Tephe and Eri are now in pursuit.]]
Adam looked at Rowena, who said, "On it," Before she flared her wings and shot off in the direction Spector had indicated.
[Justiceistruth (Earth): Why the fuck did they bring a sniper for a kidnapping job?]
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): In case something like this happened, I guess. Though I suppose their main role was just to act as overwatch.]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Still, it's strange. Why decide to kill Miss Hopkins after their kidnapping attempt failed?]
Adam watched Rowena fly off before turning back to the van's back door, where he raised his force staff before shooting where the lock would be, after which he opened the door and climbed inside.
"Fuck! Where the hell did that protective armour come from and how the hell did it stop my shot?" The sniper cursed after she saw her shot fail.
"How the fuck did they locate me so fast?" She asked as she noticed Eri and Tephe head off in her direction before adding in shock, "What the fuck, is that one flying?"
After quickly getting over her shock, she aimed towards Tephe while saying with a smirk, "She's just an oversized bird."
The sniper squeezed the trigger.
"BANG"
[[ALERT! ACTIVATING DEFENSIVE FORM!]]
The chat and Eri, who was running beneath Tephe, suddenly saw her clothing start to change as white armour formed around Tephe and her facial area turned into a humanoid dragon-looking mask with bright blue glows appearing in the eyes as well as on the chest and forehead.
Something long and white flowed out of the back of her head and swayed slightly, making it look like she had a long ponytail coming out of the armour.
The armour looked identical to the anti-gravity armour that Tephe had worn after she and Adam had travelled back to the Siege of Fenix Nest.
Eri stared wide-eyed and the chat burst into conversation as they once again saw the sparks of a bullet impacting the armour, shortly followed by the sound it made and that of a gunshot.

[HackerSu (Trillion): Damn, she looks so cool.]

[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): Her anti-gravity armour humanoid form.]

[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): You all know about the armour she wore during the Siege of Fenix Nest; however, what was never shown was how she appeared in that armour when she took her human form.]
[NonpareilRaphilia (Aaru): You mean to say that's the form Tephe's armour takes when she wears the streamer's anti-gravity armour?]
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): That's correct.]
[LadyErkath (Alastor): So it even works on dragons.]
[OfficialKasumi (Aqua Primus): You have to admit that she looks super cool right now.]
"AGAIN! What the fuck?" The sniper asked as she saw a repeat of her first shot.
As she was about to take aim at Eri, the sniper suddenly noticed a figure with blood-red hair and large bat-like wings shoot up into the air from the street in front of the house before heading in her direction.
"Now there's a second one that can fly?" She asked in surprise before dropping the sniper rifle and fleeing away from the house.
"Fuck this, that red-haired one just came from where the kidnapper's van was supposed to be parked, that means their leader has been taken out," The sniper cursed before adding, "I'm not being paid enough for this shit."
[[Notice.]]
[[The sniper is now fleeing.]]
"Fuck," Eri cursed before saying, "Pick up the pace, Tephe, the sniper's running."
"Try to keep up," Tephe replied before giving her large white wings a powerful flap and shooting forward so quickly that she actually left a white trail behind her while breaking the sound barrier.
[Superherofangirl (Earth): Holy moly, did she just break the sound barrier? She just went supersonic, right?]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): How is something like that even physically and scientifically possible? It makes no sense.]
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): She's a dragon; nothing about her makes sense by our standards.]
"Damn dragons," Eri remarked with a wry smile as she increased her own speed, but unlike dragons, catonians couldn't move faster than the speed of sound.
"She's such a show off," Rowena remarked as she caught up with Eri and flew above her.
"Is she going to be okay?" Eri asked in concern.
"She'll be fine, I doubt there's any Earthling other than Adam that could pose a threat to her, especially while she's wearing that bracelet," Rowena replied with a smile before adding, "I have to admit that the armour the bracelet formed is very impressive looking."
"Do you know why it looks so different to the one that formed around Diva Lorelie?" Eri asked.
"What did Lorelie's look like?" Rowena asked curiously.
"Like the anti-gravity armour that Adam wore when he piloted his mech in the UMB Cup."
"Hmmm, really?" Rowena replied with interest before adding, "I'm not sure. We will have to ask Adam later, but for now, let's hurry and back her up. I just hope she doesn't immediately kill them."
"Why?" Eri asked.
"Don't you find it strange that they would attempt to assassinate Emma after their kidnap attempt failed?" Rowena replied before adding, "I think something else is going on here."
"You go on ahead then."
Rowena nodded in confirmation before she gave her wings a powerful flap and shot ahead of Eri.
Although she appeared to leave a blood-red trail behind her, similar to Tephe, there was no sonic boom.
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): I take it brood can't fly faster than the speed of sound then?]
[OracleRomy (Elysium): No, well, the Brood Progenitor is rumoured to be able to, but progenitors are not held to the normal standards of their race.]
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): What about phoenixes?]
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): Oh! Why are you asking that?]
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): On Earth, phoenixes are mythological creatures that are revered at the same level as dragons.]
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): Is that so? How interesting. But to answer your question, no, we can't. It is believed that dragons can fly faster than the speed of sound because of their power to travel in subspace. Our level of speed is around the same as what Rowena is flying at right now.]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): That's still crazy fast.]
[RealOtaku (Earth): Why are we not witnessing Tephe flying at supersonic speeds? I want to see that.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): You seriously think they can build hovercams that are capable of supersonic flight?]
Further ahead, Tephe was rapidly approaching the sniper that was still fleeing when she suddenly heard Spector speak to her through the helmet she now wore.
[[Tephe, it's suggested that you take the sniper alive. Rowena is suspicious about why they would want to assassinate Emma Hopkins when the job was supposedly just to kidnap her.]]
It took Tephe less than two seconds to catch up with the sniper, where she flared her wings and slammed on the brakes so hard that if a human had been able to attempt this, the g-forces would have knocked them unconscious and maybe even killed them.
As she slammed on the brakes and flew above the female sniper that was still trying to flee, Tephe aimed her force staff at her before firing off a stunshot.
A blue light left the force staff and impacted the back of the sniper, causing her to immediately fall to the ground and eat dirt as she lost consciousness.
"It's been a while since I last flew that fast," Tephe remarked as she hovered in the air above the sniper and waited for Eri to catch her up.
As she looked behind her to see how far away Eri was, she noticed the blood-red blur of Rowena flying rapidly in her direction before she flared her wings and rapidly came to a stop beside her.
"Stun shot?" Rowena asked as she looked down at the sniper and failed to see any wounds.
"Yup," Tephe replied.
"Good job," Rowena replied as she looked back up at her before asking, "By the way, mind explaining the armour you're wearing?"
"Are you ok?" Aphrodite asked as she climbed off Lorelie and Emma before standing up.
"Yes, thank you," Emma replied before asking, "What happened?"
