As they continued to watch in excitement, they saw each of the eight enormous energy beams that should have been enough to cover Spector Unit 6 completely and block it from view, suddenly split before heading towards each of Spector Unit 6's raised arms.
As they watched in amazement, they saw the massive amount of energy being rapidly absorbed by Spector Unit 6.

As the chat watched in excitement, they saw the drones defeat the final enemy mech, suddenly turn and start heading quickly back towards Spector Unit 6.
Meanwhile, Spector Unit 6 had started to change as its shoulder guards detached and moved along the arm before reattaching over the section where the beam canceler was located.
Next, the legs detached from the main body, leaving behind a small arm and hand in place of each.
One of the four shoulder cannons began to change as it seemed to fold back on itself, making itself shorter but thicker.
Two of the other shoulder cannons detached and flew up where they each connected with one of the legs before becoming something new, after which they reattached to Spector Unit 6's shoulder.
One of them took on the appearance of a Gatling gun with six barrels, while the other looked very similar to the laser lance that Spector had just used, but on a smaller scale.
Only the fourth shoulder cannon remained the same, while the final thing to alter on Spector Unit 6 was the head, which became more streamlined.
As Spector Unit 6 completed its transformation into Rapid Interceptor Mode, the drones returned to circle it defensively while all the sections that glowed orange turned blue.

"WHAT ON FENIX NEST DID I JUST WITNESS?" Soots, the Ashes Galaxy correspondent for the USNN, shouted in shock before adding, "THE BLACK NIGHT REPLICA JUST TRANSFORMED. IT TRANSFORMED, LIKE I MEAN IT CHANGED SHAPE AND TRANSFORMED."
"Yes, I think we can all understand you when you said it transformed," Admiral Eterna said as she looked at Soots as if she had gone mad.
"BUT… BUT…. BUT IT TRANSFORMED!" Soots repeated as she failed to notice her director's screaming voice in her earpiece, who was telling her to calm the fuck down.
"I am well aware of that and I am also amazed at what we just witnessed," Eterna replied.
"Do you think there is a chance that this might actually be the real black knight?" Soots asked excitedly as she finally lowered the volume of her voice.
"That's difficult to say, I mean, there is a distinct difference between this transformation and the one the black knight used back during the Siege of Fenix Nest," Eterna answered.

Revi stared up at the now transformed Spector Unit 6 on the Holographic dodecahedron with a frown before she turned her gaze to Adam, who was still sitting on the floor with his eyes closed and said in annoyance, "That damn idiot."
"What's wrong with you? I would have thought you would be happy to see Adam transform Spector Unit 6 in front of everyone and reveal that it's actually the black knight," Emma asked in confusion.
"Except for the fact that the transformation is wrong," Revi retorted before pointing at Spector Unit 6 and saying, "That looks nothing like the transformation it did back then."
"Well, he did say he wasn't planning to use the planetary annihilation beam this time," Eri remarked.
"Perhaps he did it on purpose to tease you," Elemence teased.
"Only if he's looking for a beating," Revi replied as she shook her fist at Adam.
"You know he can't hear you right?" Elemence asked with a smirk.
"Perhaps he was using this opportunity to try out a mode he can't normally use," Emma suggested.
"What do you mean?" Revi asked.
"Well, you heard Spector's announcement when the NDS was fully charged. It said something about additional modes being available because he was operating it remotely," Emma explained.
"That's true, he did also say that this was what he was hoping for," Eri pointed out.
"So you think this Rapid Interceptor Mode is something he can't normally use?" Elemence asked.
"That's my guess," Emma replied.
"Care to guess at why that may be?" Revi asked.
Emma thought for a moment while looking down at Adam before saying, "The only thing I can think of is our bodies."
"Our bodies?" Revi replied in confusion.
"Sorry, I mean mine and Adam's bodies, earthling bodies to be exact," Emma replied before explaining. "I remember one time on a stream, the members in the chat explaining how those races that frequently travel in space are stronger. I'm guessing that because Adam's body hasn't naturally adapted, it isn't strong enough to resist the pressure it will be under at high speeds."
"That does make sense," Elemence remarked thoughtfully before continuing, "If this Rapid Interceptor Mode really does make the black knight move faster, then it could cause Adam's body to be put under amounts of pressure it is incapable of handling."
