Adam turned and bowed slightly in understanding before following Nogiss out of the room.
"This way," Nogiss stated in a cold tone before leading Adam towards the stairs in the main hall while Adam glanced back at Gram, who headed towards the entrance, presumably to fetch Senator Kasai.
[HackerSu (Trillion): Woah, that was rather cold, wasn't it? Especially since she looked so happy to see him before.]
[RealOtaku (Earth): Maybe she's a tsundere.]
Noticing that Adam was looking back towards Gram, Nogiss slowed down before saying in a low voice, "Don't worry about that; Fiere will be busy accompanying Arisu for several hours."
[Puntanghunter69Ver2 (International Space Station): When she says accompanying, does she mean what I think she means?]
[Superherofangirl (Earth): I doubt they will be playing Shogi.]
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): What are you, Japanese?]
"Why would I be worried about that?" Adam asked as he turned back to Nogiss, only to find her looking at him with a smile.
"Well, we need time alone, don't we?" Nogiss replied in her cold tone while leading him up the stairs again.
[Puntanghunter69Ver2 (International Space Station): My man.]
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Fucking slut. I thought she was a virgin? Why does she seem so keen to lose it?]
[OfficialLorelie (Spector): What are we gonna do with him?]
"Err, what? "But the mistress said.." Adam replied but stopped partway as he saw Nogiss' expression change as they reached the landing.
Her face, which had been cold, seemed to lose all emotion as she turned to face him, while her green eyes seemed to grow even brighter, almost as if they were glowing.
Nogiss opened her mouth to talk, but when she spoke, the words came out slowly, as if she were suddenly finding it difficult to speak. "Forget… that… bitch… and … follow… me…"
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): Err, what was that?]
[Justiceistruth (Earth): No idea, for a moment I thought my internet was lagging.]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Why did she suddenly start speaking so slowly?]
Adam looked at her curiously but chose not to reply and instead followed her down a hallway.
"This… is… your… room," Nogiss said slowly before opening the door while adding, "Eytelis… is… in… the… room… next… door."
"Right," Adam replied before he entered the room, while Nogiss followed him in and shut the door after.
"Greetings… emissary," Nogiss said.
[Justiceistruth (Earth): Say what?]
[RealOtaku (Earth): As in emissary of the prophets?]
[SciFifanboy (Earth): Sisko still lives.]
[OrangeeyedStace (Spector): Why would she think Adam's an emissary?]

[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Queen Riniya says: Oh dear, this won't be good.]

"Emissary?" Adam repeated in confusion.
Nogiss shocked Adam by suddenly getting down on one knee and saying, "We… have… been… waiting… for… you… honoured… emissary."

[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Queen Riniya says: What is she doing? Doesn't she understand her position?]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): This is most surprising; if memory serves, one possessing the title of a planetary Bureau Chief need not even kneel before the ruler of that planet. A simple greeting would do.]
[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Queen Riniya says: That is true, Eytelis has always greeted us with a polite curtsey in the past; she has never kneeled before us.]
[Whitehorn (Darah 5): Then why is she doing it now?]
[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Queen Riniya says: I think we're about to find out.]
Adam looked at her in surprise before quickly asking, "What are you doing? Please stand up."
"Is… it… not… appropriate… for… me… to… greet… the… honoured… emissary… in… this… manor?" Nogiss asked as her blank face stared up at Adam.
"I don't even understand why you're addressing me as emissary, so how about you stand up and explain everything," Adam replied.
"As… you… wish," Nogiss replied before standing up and straightening her clothes, saying.
"This… bodies… true… identity, which… I'm… sure… you're… already… aware… of… is… The… Dryad… Eytelis. She… serves… as… Solarian… Prime's… Bureau… Chief, for… the… Environmental… Sustainability… Bureau."
"I know that much; Queen Riniya has asked me to save you," Adam replied, "But what do you mean by this bodies?"
"As… expected… of Queen Riniya," Eytelis replied before slowly continuing. "Though… this… body… belongs… to… Eytelis… it… is… not… her… you… are… currently… speaking… with."
[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Queen Riniya says: I knew it. I hope he understands what an honour this is for him.]
[OracleRomy (Elysium): I highly doubt he does.]
[OfficialKasumi (Aqua Primus): Wait, who's he speaking to if not Eytelis?]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): WTF is going on? I'm so confused.]
"Then who am I speaking with?" Adam asked in surprise.
"I… am… Solarian… Prime. Though… most… just… refer… to… me… as… The… Great… Tree," Eytelis slowly announced, causing Adam to gap at her in shock.
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Solarian Prime? As in the planet?
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): There's no way, right? right?]
[SciFifanboy (Earth): OMFG, this is so Sci-fi.]
[Animefangirl (Earth): No fucking way, that's so Anime.]
[NonpareilRaphilia (Aaru): Hang on. You mean to tell me that he's speaking with the Great Tree of Solarian Prime right now?]

[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Queen Riniya says: Phoenix Empress Revi is correct. Because of their symbiotic nature with each other, the Great Tree has the ability to speak through Eytelis, though as you can see, she's not very adept at it.]
"Wait, hang on," Adam said while raising a hand "You mean to tell me I'm talking to the Great Tree that I saw when I visited Solarian Prime in the past?"
"That… is… correct… emissary. I… am… using… Eytelis… body… to… communicate… with… you," Nogiss explained.
"Ok, but why can't she do that herself?" Adam asked. "Do I address you as Great Tree then?"
"You… can… still… adress… this… one… as… Eytelis. As… for… why… I… am… speaking… to… you, it… is… because… she… cannot," Ertelis answered.
"Because of the slave chip?" Adam asked.
"That… is… correct. It… is… restricting… what… she… can… talk… about. You… will… need… to… deactivate… it… first." Ertelis replied.
[HackerSu (Trillion): Wait, Adam, can deactivate slave chips without killing the slave? Stace, did you know about this?]
[OrangeeyedStace (Spector): First I'm hearing about it.]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Is that strange?]
[HackerSu (Trillion): Of course it's strange. What's the point in giving them a slave chip if they can just have anyone deactivate it?]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Each slave chip is individually paired to a single uniband, normally the master's. However, the master uniband can indeed give temporary access to another uniband.
Should someone attempt to hack the slave chip and disable it, the safeguard is activated and a notification is sent to the master uniband, giving them the choice to overload the slavechip and fry the slave's brain.]

"Our… body… exists… to… serve… you… emissary," Eytelis replied in the same flat tone.
