Chapter 483: Stepping into Samsara!
At the peak of the quiet mountain, Lin Fan and Ling Qingzhu stood together and spoke for a long time. No one knew what they talked about, but something between them had finally shifted.
Before this conversation, Ling Qingzhu had believed Lin Fan's interest in her was born only from desire—a pursuit driven by conquest, not genuine emotion. But after their talk, she began to understand Lin Fan's heart.
The unspoken wall that had long stood between them finally melted away.
In the end, Ling Qingzhu chose to accept Lin Fan's good intentions. She allowed the disciples of Nine Heavens Taiqing Palace to leave ahead of her, while she herself entered the Ancestral Palace Gate to cultivate.
Just as Lin Fan was about to enter the palace himself, he sensed a powerful aura approaching at great speed. He stopped and turned to wait.
Moments later, a familiar figure descended beside him—it was the Flame Sovereign, one of the Ancient Eight Lords.
"Where did Junior Sister go? Why can I no longer sense her within Dao Sect?" the Flame Sovereign asked coldly, his sharp gaze boring into Lin Fan.
Lin Fan chuckled. "First of all, her name is Ying Huanhuan, not your junior sister. Second, she's currently in one of my treasures cultivating, which is why you can't sense her. No need to panic."
"What kind of treasure could block my senses?" the Flame Sovereign's expression darkened.
Lin Fan hesitated briefly, then with a wave of his hand, he revealed the Ancestral Palace Gate.
"The Ancestral Palace Gate... How is this possible?!"
The Flame Sovereign's eyes widened in disbelief. "How can you summon such a thing?!"
"Sorry," Lin Fan replied flatly, "that's a secret."
He continued calmly, "Huanhuan, Sect Master Ying, and the others plan to enter closed-door cultivation for a while. She asked if you'd be willing to remain in Dao Sect to help defend against any possible Yi Mo attacks."
The Flame Sovereign gave Lin Fan a deep look, then turned away, his voice complex and distant.
"I'll remain in Dao Sect… until she comes out."
Lin Fan simply shook his head and didn't respond to the older man's stubborn obsession. With a flash of his figure, he stepped into the Ancestral Palace Gate.
As soon as his foot touched the floor of the palace, Lin Fan felt as if his entire body had become much heavier.
Then he noticed tiny raindrops falling all around him—but these droplets floated in the air rather than falling to the ground.
Upon closer inspection, Lin Fan realized each droplet contained fluctuations of samsara.
He wasn't surprised. He already knew the nature of the Ancestral Palace Gate, and so his expression remained calm.
Ling Qingzhu and Ying Huanhuan also showed little reaction. But Lin Dong, Ying Xuanzi, and the Grand Elder were deeply shaken as they sensed the samsara energy in each floating drop.
"Go deeper. The samsara energy gets stronger the farther in you go," Lin Fan said casually, glancing around.
With that, he led the way toward the heart of the palace.
Everyone followed.
After passing through a series of quiet courtyards, they arrived at the inner region—a simple and elegant ancient plaza.
Tall, lush trees surrounded the area, and each one radiated heavy samsara energy. At the center of the plaza stood a stone statue—so radiant with mysterious light that no one could clearly see its face.
Its very presence seemed to repel prying eyes.
Lin Fan stared at it, wondering: Could this Ancestral Palace Gate be the one left behind by the Symbol Ancestor? Could that statue be… him?
"Find a spot and start your meditation," Lin Fan eventually said. "Use this place to comprehend the path of samsara."
Regardless of its origin, the palace could aid them in understanding samsara—that was all that mattered for now.
One by one, everyone found a place and sat down to cultivate.
Lin Fan did the same—though he didn't enter the statue, as he still had unresolved matters. If he remained inside too long, he might miss the upcoming Ceremony of the Dark Hall in Northern Xuan Region, putting Qingtan at risk.
He would aim to break into the Samsara Stage here first, then leave to find her.
Time passed, and above Lin Fan, clouds began to gather—not of water or rain, but formed of pure yuan power, so thick it resembled solid matter.
BOOM!
Suddenly, a strange sound echoed.
Everyone present—especially Ying Xuanzi and Lin Dong—looked toward Lin Fan in surprise.
From the clouds, beams of mysterious light broke through and bathed Lin Fan in radiant energy.
Under that light, all the others felt their yuan power quietly strengthen.
"The Light of Samsara…"
Ying Huanhuan whispered, her icy blue eyes reflecting the radiance. The scene felt familiar—somewhere deep in her soul.
Ying Xuanzi, Lin Dong, and the Grand Elder all looked on with awe.
In Lin Dong's mind, Yan murmured, "This kid… he really is a freak. Already stepping into Samsara…"
Lin Dong didn't answer—he just clenched his fists silently and kept watching.
BOOM!
The clouds grew increasingly unstable—then, with a second deafening crash, they tore open.
A thousand-foot-wide torrent of yuan power roared down like a waterfall from the heavens!
Lin Fan rose to his feet. There was no fear on his face—only calm determination.
"WOM!"
A massive black vortex opened above him, spinning wildly.
The torrent struck—and was instantly devoured.
The vortex trembled violently, threatening to collapse from the sheer force, but Lin Fan held firm.
His organs shook with the strain, but he didn't falter.
The vortex spun faster and faster, converting the vast yuan power into Lin Fan's own.
Wave after wave of yuan power waterfalls surged down from the void, striking Lin Fan like roaring dragons.
Under the nervous eyes of Ying Huanhuan, Ling Qingzhu, and the others, Lin Fan absorbed and refined every single one.
His body began to crack under the strain—blood and flesh burst apart—yet it healed just as fast, replaced by even stronger tissue.
Destruction and rebirth overlapped. Lin Fan, covered in blood, looked like a god of war ascending through fire and chaos.
No one knew how much time passed.
Eventually, the flood of energy subsided.
Lin Fan reappeared from the light, tall and steady.
His black eyes now resembled a deep night sky—mysterious, vast, and filled with unfathomable power.
From his body, a thousand-foot-tall pillar of light erupted skyward—where it coalesced into an enormous, spinning samsara disc.
The disc rotated silently—endlessly—like the eternal cycle of life and death.
"The Wheel of Samsara…"
Ying Xuanzi and the others looked on, joy and shock in their eyes.
They all knew then—
Lin Fan had truly broken through to the Samsara Stage.
