Chapter 484: Journey to the Northern Xuan Region, A Reunion with an Old Friend!

Lin Fan stood silently, calmly feeling the vast, almost boundless yuan power surging within his body. A faint smile appeared on his lips.

The Samsara Stage… compared to what had come before, it was indeed a whole new world.

Now that he had successfully stepped into the Samsara Stage—though he had not yet undergone a Samsara Tribulation—he was confident. With all the trump cards he possessed, he could easily kill a one-tribulation Samsara expert, and even if he were to face a two-tribulation one, he believed he could at least stand undefeated.

"Are you alright?"

Ying Huanhuan approached Lin Fan, a hint of concern in her icy-blue eyes.

Ling Qingzhu stood beside her, also looking at him with a touch of worry, though she remained silent.

"I feel better than ever," Lin Fan smiled. "How long was I in there?"

"One and a half months," Ling Qingzhu answered softly.

"One and a half months, huh…" Lin Fan nodded. He still had enough time.

"Congratulations, Brother Lin Fan!"

Lin Dong stepped forward, cupping his fists with a smile.

Lin Fan smiled back. "I'm sure you'll catch up soon enough."

"I've cultivated for so many years and I'm still stuck at the Reincarnation Stage," Ying Xuanzi said with a wry shake of his head, sighing. "And you… you've surpassed me in just a few years."

"Haha, regardless of how you look at it, Lin Fan stepping into the Samsara Stage is a great blessing for our Dao Sect," the Grand Elder beside him said with a hearty laugh.

Lin Fan waved his hand modestly. "You all keep cultivating. I'm going to consolidate my realm a bit more, then I plan to head to the Northern Xuan Region."

"Are you going to find Qingtan?" Lin Dong asked.

Lin Fan nodded. "It's been three years since we last saw each other—back in the City of Annihilation. Now that the Yi Mo are beginning to stir again… I'm worried about her."

"Let me go with you," Lin Dong offered immediately.

Lin Fan smiled. "No need. Just focus on your cultivation. I'll bring Qingtan back safely."

Lin Dong hesitated, then nodded. He knew Lin Fan wouldn't say that unless he was confident.

Ling Qingzhu and Ying Huanhuan made no objections either.

…

The Four Great Xuan Regions—East, West, South, and North—were vast and self-contained worlds, separated by immense distances.

Towering between them lay the Ten Thousand Mountains, twisting and sprawling like a massive dragon dividing the land.

To pass from the Eastern to the Northern Xuan Region, even an expert of considerable ability would need two to three months of travel.

But for Lin Fan, now a Samsara expert, that would take much less.

After a few days of consolidating his realm within the Ancestral Palace Gate, Lin Fan exited and immediately set off for the Northern Xuan Region.

To save time, he used spatial traversal, leaping great distances between each jump.

Though he didn't know the exact location of the Hall of Darkness, he had a general direction. After several hops—some slightly off-course—he finally stepped foot in the Northern Xuan Region.

Once there, Lin Fan decided to locate a local force and inquire about the Hall of Darkness's location.

Suddenly, he paused.

"…Huh?"

His eyes narrowed. Near the edge of the Ten Thousand Mountains, he had sensed a familiar aura.

…

On a desolate plain, a group of people was fleeing in panic. Leading them was a man in his twenties, covered in wounds and staggering from blood loss.

Beside him ran a petite girl, clearly in better shape.

"Brother Chen Kui, are you alright?" the girl asked as she helped him along.

This young man was none other than Chen Kui, who had once aided Dao Sect alongside Qingtan in the battle against Yuan Gate in the Yi Mo Domain.

Chen Kui wiped the blood from his mouth. "Musa, go. Head into the mountains and take a detour. Find the Hall Master and call for reinforcements. I'll stay behind to buy time."

He didn't believe reinforcements would come. He just wanted Musa to escape.

"Whoosh whoosh!"

Suddenly, the sound of wind cutting through the air echoed from behind. Dozens of black-cloaked figures rushed in, surrounding Chen Kui's group with chilling killing intent.

Two old men in black robes led the charge, their faces cold and cruel.

"Chen Kui, surrender. You're a talent of the Hall of Darkness—we don't want to kill you."

One of the elders chuckled darkly. "Just come back with us and testify at the ritual that the little girl schemed to harm the Hall Master and steal the Ancestral Darkness Symbol. Do that, and I'll make you head of the dark division. Sound good?"

"Dream on."

Chen Kui sneered, glaring at them. "You think I'd slander the Hall Master to save myself? Even if I die here, I'll make you pay!"

"You're asking for death!"

The other elder's face twisted with fury. "Enough talk! Capture them all. We'll break them later!"

As he finished, his fingers curled like talons and slashed at Chen Kui.

Chen Kui shoved Musa aside and prepared to meet the elder's blow.

The others with him had the same look—ready to die.

But then—

WOM!

Space rippled, and a figure appeared between Chen Kui and the elder.

A tall man in a green robe.

With a casual flick of his hand, the elder was sent flying—face twisted in shock.

"Who are you? How dare you interfere in the Hall of Darkness's business?" the old man barked.

"…Lin Fan?"

Chen Kui stared in disbelief. Then, realization struck. "Leave! Run now!"

But Lin Fan smiled calmly. "I sensed your aura and came for you. Why would I leave?"

Chen Kui's expression turned desperate. He hadn't seen Lin Fan in three years—he had no idea how powerful he had become.

"Kill him!"

The elder's eyes blazed. "He came for Chen Kui—kill him now!"

"Yes!"

The black-robed attackers responded in unison. Yuan power surged—and a wave of deadly attacks thundered toward Lin Fan.
