"Huh? Divine Blessing... isn't that something only gods can grant?"

Mash, who had been listening quietly, finally spoke, confusion clear in her voice.

"Normally, yes. Only gods can bestow it." Shirou Emiya's tone was calm as he explained further. "But I possess a special ability called Mystery. It allows me to create miraculous tools, including Divine Blood, which can act as a stand-in for a god to grant Divine Blessing to others."

He smiled, a quiet pride in his expression. "Actually, it's not just for you, Mash. Fujimaru Ritsuka, you can also receive this. It will be incredibly useful for your journey ahead."

"Me? Really?"

"Of course." Encouraged by Shirou Emiya's words, Ritsuka's mind flickered with the possibilities of her own potential. But before she could dwell on it, Roman's voice cut through her thoughts.

"Then what's this about an uncertain factor?"

Her daydream vanished. Ritsuka's gaze fixed on Shirou Emiya, serious and intent.

"It's time." Shirou Emiya didn't delay. He explained the danger plainly. "Divine Blessing works by unlocking the recipient's potential. Once your potential reaches a certain level, you must accomplish a great feat-transcend yourself-to achieve sublimation."

"For you, achieving a great feat isn't the hard part." His tone remained steady. "The real problem is the accumulation of abilities. For your Chaldea, time is scarce." He looked at the anxious Ritsuka and then at Mash, calm but expectant. "We met too late. Had we met when you first began saving humanity, time wouldn't be a concern."

He paused briefly. "Guiding the body's potential requires time. In Orario, even the fastest normal adventurers-aside from those with special skills-needed a year to make significant progress. Considering Mash's current strength and this Singularity's environment, we can't predict how long it will take her to reach the requirements for sublimation. Time is pressing."

Silence fell.

Mash, Ritsuka, and the others processed the weight of his words. The quiet stretched just long enough to feel heavy, then broke.

"If it's possible, I'll leave it to you, Senpai Shirou." Mash's voice was earnest, unwavering.

"Mash..." Ritsuka called, drawing her attention.

Mash smiled softly. "There's no need to overthink it, is there? Whether Divine Blessing extends my life or not, it will always make me stronger. That strengthens our chances of defeating the Mage King Solomon and saving humanity. Even if that chance is slim, it exists. And it lets me protect Senpai even better."

Ritsuka's eyes widened for a moment, absorbing Mash's words. Then, her resolve hardened. She turned to Shirou Emiya and bowed. "Senpai Shirou, please grant us Divine Blessing!"

"Senpai!" Mash glanced at her, concern clear. Granting Ritsuka Divine Blessing could turn her into a future combatant-one always exposed to danger.

"Stop!" Ritsuka reached out before Mash could react. Her voice was firm, serious. "Mash, I don't want to always stand behind you. I want to fight beside you."

Mash saw it then. The same unwavering determination she always did when panic struck. That steady will, the kind that made her strong even in moments of fear, burned in Ritsuka's eyes.

"In the past, I learned countless techniques, but my body couldn't fully utilize them. Now, Divine Blessing can maximize my potential and let me surpass my limits. I won't let this opportunity slip away."

Recalling the journey they had survived together-seven Singularities crossed, countless frustrations from powerlessness-Ritsuka had endured enough moments where she could only watch others protect her. She would not let this chance pass.

Seeing her resolve, Mash remained silent. She understood. Senpai could not be swayed now. All she could do was vow silently to protect Ritsuka even more fiercely in the future.

"Have you both made up your minds?" Shirou Emiya asked, voice steady.

"Yes!" Both Ritsuka and Mash answered without hesitation.

"Then be prepared. Tomorrow night, we begin the ritual."

"Understood." Witnessed by Merlin, Ana, and Roman, the two resolved to accept Shirou Emiya's Divine Blessing.

The next day, after dinner, Shirou Emiya patted Ritsuka and Mash on the shoulders to reassure them before retreating to his room. It was time to refine the Divine Blood.

The Divine Blood came in two forms. Newly refined blood brimmed with vitality, capable of not only updating an adventurer's basic stats but also granting Divine Blessing to a new individual. Blood that had been left to sit retained only the ability to enhance stats. Therefore, every time Shirou Emiya granted Divine Blessing, he refined fresh Divine Blood. He had already prepared the materials earlier; now only the final refinement remained.

After completing the work, the fresh Divine Blood shimmered with potential. Almost immediately, a knock sounded at the door.

Ritsuka, Mash, and the others had arrived.

"Ritsuka, Mash, Ana-you can come in. Merlin, wait outside."

"Eh? Why can't I go in? That's discrimination!" Merlin's protest was cut short as Fou, perched on Mash's shoulder, leapt up and tackled Merlin to the ground. Fou chirped a few times toward Shirou and the others, clearly declaring it would guard Merlin.

"Then I'll leave it to you, Fou. Don't let him use his Clairvoyance." Shirou Emiya chuckled. He ushered Ritsuka and the others inside and firmly closed the door behind them.

The stage was set. Tonight, they would stand side by side.
