Chapter 134 - Training and Advance

Chirp~

A small bird, with golden beaks and water-like skin, rested quietly on a tall, majestic tree—one among many in the vast area. Green fruits protruded from nearly every branch, releasing a soothing fragrance that made the bird burrow deeper into its nest.

Suddenly—

Bang!

Chirp!!!

A gale-like wind struck, startling the bird of its nest as it burst into flight.

"Still too weak."

The culprit's voice echoed across the vast field of trees and waterfalls. At the center stood a bare-chested figure, muscles compact and rippling—each subtle movement carrying an invisible pressure that seemed to deter even the surrounding air.

This figure was none other than Zayne.

He was training in a secluded part of the base, maintaining a time acceleration of 50x. Several hours had passed since his date with Kira. After the subtle shift in his goals, he had pushed his training schedule forward, leaving everything else for later.

The invasion of alien forces was drawing near, and he needed to reach at least B-tier Ranger status to ensure victory. For an ordinary person, such a leap would be impossible—but Zayne was different.

First, he had the advantage of time acceleration.

Second, the Omni-Grid had blessed him with extraordinary talent through his titles.

And most importantly, he still possessed unused training cards capable of boosting his efficiency and cutting the required time in half.

(A/N: Remember, advancing from C-tier to B-tier normally takes decades at best and centuries at worst. Even the most talented beings in this multiversal setting can only shorten that time slightly—not like Zayne, who has reached this point in mere months.)

Standing before a massive waterfall, Zayne stretched his muscles, warming up his body. Then, focusing his thoughts, he willed the Omni-Grid interface to appear.

Swoosh.

A panel, visible only to him, materialized.

Zayne ignored most of it—he was already familiar with the details. His focus remained on the XP section and the training cards.

He had thirty in total. Extremely rare items—only obtainable in such numbers due to the benefits of his newbie missions.

Each card could independently add +5 to all attributes. Once his stats crossed the 200 mark, he could advance to B-tier. This showed how powerful they were.

He had planned on ranking up without it, Yet, even after multiple missions, his average stats hovered around 90. Without these cards, it would take him at least a year to advance. Fast by normal standards—but far too slow for him.

The invasion was coming. He couldn't afford that kind of delay.

Hoo~

Calming himself, Zayne exhaled a stream of turbid air before summoning the cards. Instantly, several golden, rectangular constructs appeared around him, rotating slowly and radiating immense power.

"Cool," he muttered, dazzled by the majesty of the cards.

Then, without hesitation, he willed them all to merge with his body.

Fwoosh~

They dissolved into countless particles of light, surging into him from every direction.

"Hiss—!"

Zayne winced in pain, his body bending slightly as his entire biology underwent a massive transformation. Infinite Omni-energy flooded his cells, reinforcing and evolving them.

His stats surged.

90… 100… 167… 201… 220.

And then—stopped.

The process didn't end there.

Days passed… then months… and eventually, an entire year within the accelerated time.

Zayne remained standing in the same spot—slightly bent, breathing shallowly, eyes closed—completely unaware of the passage of time.

Streams of hot air rose from his bent figure, the artificial sun within the base shining down on him as if acknowledging his advancing strength.

Then—

A majestic pressure burst from his body.

Boom!!!

Animals and birds in the surrounding area scattered instantly, fleeing from the overwhelming force. Yet, there was no true fear in their eyes—only instinct. Deep down, they recognized Zayne as the master of this domain. So there was no need for fear.

His eyes snapped open.

A red flash streaked through them.

More astonishing was the fact that his feet no longer touched the ground—his entire body hovered mid-air.

This was one of the defining traits of B-tier powerhouses. Flight.

Regardless of the power system—be it technology, magic, or raw biology—once a being reached this level, they gained the ability to defy gravity itself. They could soar like aircraft, move faster than sound… and in Zayne's case, even beyond that.

"So strong… I feel like I could punch a small moon into dust," he muttered, clenching his fists as faint booms echoed from the pressure.

He wasn't exaggerating.

At this level, destroying a moon the size of a country was well within his capabilities—and that was only in his base human form. Once morphed, with access to the Omni-Grid, his weapons, and his abilities… leveling multiple celestial bodies wouldn't be out of reach.

The next moment, he summoned one of his weapons—the Omni-Saber.

The crimson blade materialized instantly, gleaming under the sunlight with a ferocious edge. It felt alive, as though the spirit of a primordial predator lingered within it, ready to tear through anything in its path.

As Zayne observed it, a realization struck him.

"This… the weapons have also upgraded to B-tier to match my strength."

This time, the shock on his face was unmistakable. He had assumed he would need to spend Grid Points to upgrade them—but that wasn't the case.

Any weapon tied to his Ranger forms was a growth-type item. As his strength increased, so did theirs. Even his suit followed the same principle.

"This feels like some Xianxia stuff," he muttered, letting out a short laugh that echoed through the silent forest like a madman.

Shaking his head, he focused next on his energy output.

Fwoosh~ Fwoosh~

His blood surged through his veins at incredible speed, far beyond normal human limits. Every gush and rush was like a running stream circulating at light speed. Even his intelligence and thinking capabilities had evolved.

He could perceive it clearly now—his senses had evolved. With his advancement, his spirit deepened, granting him abilities such as inner vision, telekinesis, and mental projection.

And these weren't restricted to his Ranger form—they were now part of him.

"The energy within my cells is actually this immense? Going on for years without food or an energy source would be no problem for me… this is perfect for what I need to do."

Ending his inspection, Zayne quickly reached for his Morpher, excitement flickering in his eyes. He wanted to see the difference—feel the transformation at this new level.

Click~

He placed his hand on it, his voice steady as he initiated the sequence.

"Omni-Morpher… lock on."

[Locking on… initiating Phase 1]

A brilliant red light flashed faster than the eye could perceive—then—

Boom~

The ground beneath him cracked as Zayne, now clad in his Omni-Ranger suit, shot into the sky at a speed far beyond human limits.

Then… it increased.

It approached the speed of sound.

Boom~ Boom~~

And then—surpassed it.

Tear~

The air itself ripped apart as his velocity continued to climb, until Zayne became nothing more than a streak of red light, his figure completely untraceable.

Gravity seemed to resist his advancement, but it stopped before the force could even touch him.

"So this is what superheroes like Superman felt when flying for their first time," Zayne exclaimed in his mind as the rush of the wind brushed his suit. "This is the best!"

Then—

Mid-air, Zayne made a sudden decision. His voice rang out once more.

"Omni-Morpher… lock on. Activate Crimson Ranger Mode."

[Locking on… initiating Phase 2]

A brighter flash erupted in the sky, so intense that even the creatures below instinctively squinted. Yet instead of slowing him down, it amplified his speed even further.

His Ranger suit evolved in an instant.

Armor formed over his shoulders, and the design shifted into a more intricate blend of red and gold. It looked sharper, more refined—both powerful and elegant at the same time.

This time, his entire body radiated the element of fire.

Flames surged across him, burning hotter than the surface of the sun—yet completely stable under his control. The environment remained untouched, as if reality itself obeyed his will.

If he desired, the entire forest could be reduced to ash in seconds… but he had no intention of doing so.

Almost as if testing his limits, Zayne shifted elements again.

The flames vanished, replaced by a dark blue suit surrounded by swirling water.

Without hesitation, he dived into a massive body of water within the base. Schools of fish and strange aquatic creatures parted effortlessly, undisturbed by his presence.

Splash!

He swam faster than any fish moving around with pure excitement before moving back up.

"Wohooo!!!"

His voice echoed with pure excitement as he burst back into the sky.

Then—earth. His suit turned yellow.

Then—nature. A vibrant green.

Then—wind. Cyan blue, his body merging seamlessly with the currents above.

He moved freely, switching elements at will, each transition smooth and absolute.

This continued for an entire hour before Zayne finally slowed down and floated before a vibrant slope.

"Power down."

The suit dissolved as he unmorphed, landing softly on a stretch of grassy land untouched by any other natural presence. No trees, no animals, not even the faint buzzing of insects—only silence. Pure, tranquil silence.

The rush of adrenaline faded, replaced by a steady calm.

A quiet hope lingered in his chest, while his eyes burned with renewed determination.

He now had absolute confidence in the upcoming mission. What could have been a catastrophic, history-defining invasion for Earth would instead become a massacre for the invaders.

He would strike them so hard… that even the thought of his name would bring fear.

"The team is ready… and my strength is finally enough. The interception operation can begin," he murmured softly, his gaze fixed on the artificial sun above, completely unfazed by its intensity.

Then he exhaled lightly.

"But first… I need sleep. I've been training for a year."

He closed his eyes with a faint smile and breathed his las— cough… I mean, went to sleep.
