It took some time, but the marines that had gathered for Shun's promotion returned to their posts. After all, it was quite wasteful for all of the admirals to be present.
As for Shun's little crew, while the seven seraphims returned to their ships, Issho stayed in the headquarters.
"So… are you going to tell us what your mission was?" Shun asked the woman from CP, now tied to a chair.
"…"
Shun was in his office, previously Sengoku's, alone with Kalifa.
'Though I'm not into her, it feels too regretful to let a strong beauty into the prison. It's not hard to imagine what they would do to her. I guess I'm just a soft guy inside.'
Kalifa remained quiet.
"You really won't answer?" Shun said as he took off his gloves. These were the ones gifted by Juvia. Shun liked them a lot, as he wore them almost every day when he went out.
"!"
Seeing Shun get close, Kalifa started to get nervous.
"T-That's sexual harassment!"
"It sure is." Shun agreed and continued closing in on her until…
Bere, bere, bere, bere.
Shun's dendenmushi rang.
Kalifa let out a sigh of relief seeing Shun stop and take the call.
Gotcha.
As soon as the call connected, a loud scream was heard. "You bastard! What do you think you're doing?!"
'Ah, those guys repeating the same pattern over and over.' Shun was getting tired of it.
Out of frustration, he grabbed a nearby stress ball.
"Agh~"
"…"
The Five Elders turned completely silent at this unexpected reply. Shun would always go beyond their expectations.
"I had no plan to make such demands, but I told you to attend the event and bring presents. You didn't come, and I ended up acting out of frustration."
"Ah~"
When Shun finished speaking, Kalifa spoke her part too.
"Anyways, double the funds if you want to keep borrowing my strength."
Gotcha.
Shun cut the dendenmushi off.
Seeing Shun distracted, Kalifa kicked her leg toward Shun's neck.
"Rankyaku!"
Kalifa smiled, seeing it connect, but there was no blood at all.
The flying slash connected to Shun's neck only to shatter and disappear. With Shun's mastery now, hardening part of his body with armament haki didn't require much effort.
"Huh? Are you saying do this part next?" Shun said and grabbed her leg.
"!"
"Y-You bastard, this is sexual harassment!"
"It is. But you do realize what would have happened if you entered Impel Down as a prisoner that must be interrogated? What do you think would've happened to a beautiful woman inside a prison?"
"Mm~" Kalifa's reply was inaudible.
After playing around with Kalifa's leg, still on his shoulder from the earlier assassination attempt, Shun spoke.
"I think you should know my real intention isn't really an interrogation."
"I knew that from the start, bastard!"
Ignoring her, Shun continued,
"Two years ago, on Enies Lobby, you attacked two women connected with me."
"!"
Kalifa froze. She already knew the Straw Hat Pirates' connection with Shun, but she had assumed it must've been forgotten.
"It was a long time ago! And before you guys even met!" Kalifa's excuses were solid, but…
"Well, I'm ready for revenge now."
"…"
Just when Shun was about to level up the game, a knock came from outside.
"Shun-san, a really important person came for a meeting." It was Hibari's voice.
'She is acting like my secretary, when did she even arrive?' Shun was confused by her sudden arrival, but…
'If she wants to act like a secretary, I'll just make her a real one after.'
"Let them in." Shun said, much to Kalifa's confusion.
"Hey, let me hide."
"If you kiss me on your own will, then I'll consider it."
"…"
Step. Step.
It seemed like two people of heavy weight were walking to enter.
Kalifa's current attire had her stockings ripped and her bra exposed, while she was tied in seaprism stone handcuffs on a chair.
Shun helped her stand up from her chair and gave her the choice. Kalifa didn't even try to run. She was inside the Marine headquarters, but the most troublesome one who would never let her run was in front of her.
"We CP0 are highly trained units from a young age, don't think I will fall for your tricks." Kalifa said, then… met Shun's lips with hers.
Klick-! Klick-clack-!
"Huh? It's locked." Sengoku's voice came from the other side.
Hearing the noise, Kalifa panicked, but Shun grabbed the back of her head and wouldn't let her get away.
"Oi! You brat, open up. I know you're inside." Sengoku seemed angry.
"Hide under there." Shun pointed and finally allowed Kalifa to hide. Then, he used telekinesis to open the door lock.
When the door opened, two large men entered. One was Sengoku, the other one Shun didn't recognize.
Shun took his seat and put his hands on the table, crossing his fingers.
Unbeknownst to the two old men, just below Shun's table was hiding a woman named Kalifa.
"What did you want from me? I'm a busy man, make it quick."
"…"
"This is the Commander-in-Chief of the World Government, Kong-san." Sengoku introduced awkwardly.
"Well, take a seat. I think I don't need to introduce myself."
"…"
Seeing Shun acting all high and mighty the two old men had veins popping up on their foreheads but regardless…
The two took their seats.
"Brat, since you said make it quick, I won't beat around the bush." A deep voice came from the man who resembled a gorilla, Kong.
"Go on."
"Do another live broadcast and take back all three of your demands."
"…"
Shun remained silent as they made eye contact.
"Why would I do that?"
"Huh?"
"You say my demands are outrageous, but is it really outrageous if you take a moment to think about it? What's wrong with doubling the funds to bring peace to the world instead of letting pigs spend them without a care in the world?"
"!"
What Shun was calling a pig wasn't hard to understand.
"Be careful with your words." Kong's fist clenched.
'Ah, this guy seems to be the hardcore World Government fanatic like Rob Lucci.' Shun sighed; he thought he might be able to invite him to his side.
"The Seven Warlords, a group of legal thieves, disappearing would increase the morale of citizens and Marines alike. In exchange for them, me and my crew joined the Marines."
"Finally, the slave system abolishment."
"…"
"We're all humans; one being a slave and one being a master is ridiculous. Or what? Do you like having slaves around?" Shun asked the two old men.
'…the brat has a point.' Sengoku sighed; he wanted to scold him a bit and remind him of their plans, but Shun seemed to know already.
"The world doesn't work like that, brat. This is a real world, not a fairy tale. A little injustice is fine if it allows more people to get justice." Kong spoke of his beliefs, but…
Shun had already made up his mind.
"All right, I'm done talking with you. Leave."
Shun's expression was uncharacteristically angry. Sengoku started to get nervous. Kong was the previous Fleet Admiral before him and was a close friend of his and Garp's.
While there was a heavy talk in the room, Kalifa also had a heavy situation…
Her hiding place was below the space of Shun's table.
Initially there was no problem, but… Shun's hand started playing around with her face.
As soon as the conversation began, Shun was already pinching her nose and cheeks. Kalifa resisted at first, but she didn't have the strength because of the seaprism stone.
Meanwhile, Kong was starting to get angry too. Even the Five Elders didn't act like this in front of him.
"You know nothing about the world, brat. Your actions are bringing chaos to the world. What do you think the Seven Warlords will do once they start sailing the sea again?"
"Just shut up and leave. I have no time to spare for brainwashed cultists." Shun said as he finally thrust his fingers inside Kalifa's mouth.
"!"
Shun's words caused Kong's last bit of patience to break, while his fingers caught Kalifa's little tongue.
"You will—" Kong spoke once again, but… mid-talk, he felt an immense pressure releasing from Shun.
"!!"
Shun made sure not to harm others in the headquarters; it was only aimed at Kong. But this concentrated Conqueror's Haki was dangerous.
"You seem to not realize who you're talking to. I'm the Fleet Admiral." Shun's words were calm, but the Conqueror's Haki he was releasing was making Kong sweat buckets.
Thud-!
Kong fell to his knees as his breathing got heavier.
However, Kong was the previous Fleet Admiral; his strength wasn't weak. It was just a matter of will. A puppet of the World Government didn't have the will to awaken Conqueror's Haki to fight off Shun's.
Only after five seconds of kneeling did Kong get up.
"Y-You brat…" Kong's body started transforming into something even bigger; his body started growing fur, and he was about to attack Shun, but…
"STOP! BOTH OF YOU!" Sengoku, who missed his timing to remind Shun that Kong's authority was actually higher than the Fleet Admiral's, now didn't miss the chance to stop them before a disaster occurred.
To his relief, the two of them stopped.
Slam-!
Kong was still sweating as he left in silence. He boarded his warship without even talking to Sengoku.
"You were too rash, Kong-san is a guy that can understand if you talked calmly." Sengoku scolded, but Shun wasn't in the mood.
Under Sengoku's eyes, Shun pulled Kalifa out from under the table and went outside the window, walking on air with his bubble shoes.
"…"
Sengoku was left completely speechless by this shameless act.
'This bastard had a woman under the table?!'
Shun goes plus ultra every day to go beyond Sengoku's expectations.
——
Meanwhile, Shun was flying with Kalifa in his arms. He wasn't flying aimlessly.
"Oh, found them."
When Kalifa heard him, she looked toward where Shun was looking. There, she found… Kong's warship already sailing toward Mariejois.
Shun didn't attack immediately; instead, he waited, stalking the ship. If they died too close to the Marine headquarters, it'd be suspicious.
"Hey, why don't you become my secretary?" At this moment, Shun offered her a job.
"Eh?"
'I don't wanna deal with paperwork. I'm not an idiot like Naruto; I'll make her and Hibari my secretaries and do the job for me.'
"You don't have to worry about your superiors from the World Government complaining."
"…"
Kalifa remained quiet, not because she was considering it, but because she knew if she refused, his harassment toward her would get worse.
"It should be far enough, give me your answer by the time we return." Shun said and opened his mouth wide.
Immediately Shun sucked in large amount of air into his mouth. Then…
"Gale Dragon's Roar, plus more speed, more destruction, times ten." Shun chanted to help his imagination and let out a monstrous roar.
To Kalifa's horror, a raging hurricane came out of Shun's mouth and headed straight toward Kong's ship.
Slash-!
It was a terrifying wind ability that slashed and destroyed everything in its path.
The attack slashed everything in its way into pieces. The giant warship that carried hundreds of staff and one Commander-in-Chief, Kong, sank into the deep sea without any resistance.
"He dies just like this, huh? After all that big talk." Shun looked down on the fellow devil fruit users and their ridiculous weakness of the sea.
"…" Kalifa listened from the side. She witnessed Kong and Shun's first encounter and last encounter; the two had argued, and on the same day, the other party died by drowning…
Shun immediately lowered their altitude, not to check if Kong was dead or not, but for his real plan.
"Mihawk, action figure, real life size. And his boat." Shun's actions were completely confusing; at one moment he would talk alone.
'Is his ability making his speeches reality?!' Kalifa was letting her imagination run wild.
Once Shun finished speaking, there was Mihawk on his boat. Shun placed him next to the destruction and took a picture.
When he was done with the proof, Mihawk shattered into tiny magic particles.
Next, Shun pulled out a dendenmushi.
"Morgans. I just saw something interesting, write a good news about it."
Only now did Kalifa understand what this monster was planning. Shun's smile looked like a devil's to her at this moment.
——
Since their small errand was done, Shun and Kalifa returned to their office.
Morgans was thrilled when he saw the picture Shun sent him.
"Sir, what do you think about this? 'The furious Hawk Eye's retaliation toward the World Government. Commander-in-Chief of the World Government dies heroically.'"
Morgans' loud voice was heard from the dendenmushi.
"Hmm, remove the 'heroic' part. And the rest of it is fine."
"…"
Kalifa, who watched the incident from the start, was speechless by Shun's pettiness.
'No wonder this bastard is bringing up the Straw Hat incident from two years ago.'
"Yes sir!" Morgans was now a loyal worker of Shun's, not only because of his strength, but Shun always provided him with the big news around the world.
Gotcha.
The call was cut.
The two were now left alone in the office.
"Hibari." Shun called.
"Yes?"
"Come inside."
Creak-!
'She was right outside the door?' Shun was impressed by her dedication.
"Did you need something?" Hibari asked as she observed the woman beside him.
"Now that I became the Fleet Admiral, I want you to become my secretary."
"Eh?" X2
Kalifa and Hibari were surprised for different reasons.
'Wasn't this bastard asking me to become his secretary? Could it be… because I wasn't giving an answer… Is he planning to send me to Impel Down?!' Kalifa started to worry now.
"B-But I'm a member of SWORD." Hibari mentioned her little organization.
'So you remember that you're a member of them but stay around me whenever I'm here?'
Shun thought but didn't mention it.
"Is SWORD more important than me?"
"…"
Shun didn't care that he was speaking like an insecure spouse.
"O-Of course not. I'll send my letter of resignation today." Hibari said with the edge of her lips tilting upward, but she held herself back.
"Thanks."
"Then I'll go." Hibari said and ran out in a hurry.
"…"
Kalifa was now left alone with Shun once again.
"I-I accept your offer!" suddenly Kalifa spoke, to Shun's surprise.
"Huh?"
"Secretary. I have experience working as a secretary, I'll do much better than that little girl."
Kalifa started explaining her experience when she was a spy at Water Seven.
'Is this girl… misunderstanding something? You two both are becoming my secretaries.' Shun thought but didn't say anything, since it was working in his favor.
"I need some proof that you won't betray me."
"Eh?"
"You know what to do, right?" Shun said and took his seat.
"…"
Kalifa had no choice. It was either the scums in Impel Down having their way with her, or Shun, who had wealth and authority.
'At least he is handsome.' Kalifa consoled herself as she unbuttoned her clothes.
'If he fights the World Government and loses, I'll say I was working as a spy.' She made up her backup plan too.
——
Next day… Shun made sure nothing much happened in the two other worlds, then returned to the One Piece world.
Now, Shun sat in his office with Kalifa and Hibari behind him.
In the guest seats sat Sengoku, Tsuru, Garp, and Aokiji.
"You guys don't have anything else to do?" Shun asked; those four were not working but collecting salaries.
Sengoku ignored his remarks and threw him a newspaper.
As soon as Shun read it…
"WHAT? Hawk Eye, Mihawk's retaliation?" Shun's expression turned serious.
"The Seven Warlords are acting this fast, huh? You guys should go to your posts and tighten the defenses!"
"…"
Kalifa was speechless by this Oscar-worthy acting.
Sengoku felt suspicious, but… there was a picture of Mihawk sailing away from the scene in his boat. Also Mihawk was one of the few individuals that had motive and strength to do it.
With solid proof, he couldn't even voice out his suspicions.
'If this brat starts acting moody because I suspected him…' Sengoku felt a headache just imagining it.
"Now that Mihawk had killed a Commander from the World Government, they wouldn't ally with the World Government… that's good for us." Shun smiled.
'So that was his true aim? Two birds with one stone.' Kalifa was still evaluating Shun and impressed by every his actions of his having hidden intentions.
"Anyways, tell our allies. Since the Warlord scums daring to do something like this, they might try something more. Be ready for the 'Reverie.'" Shun's casual mention immediately changed the expression of the group.
'Eh?' Meanwhile, Hibari and Kalifa had no clue, and Shun had no plan of telling them, either.
They might be acting a bit paranoid, but they didn't bring up the Reverie again and talked about small things.
Sengoku, the old man, was getting emotional about his senior's death.
"He wasn't always like that, he was a good man."
"…"
'This old man… how long is he going to stay here?'
"Hey, if you guys have free time, help us with some paperwork—"
Before Shun could even finish…
"Ah, it's about time. We have to keep the Warlords in check, so an incident like this won't happen again."
"…"
Slam-!
Just like that, Shun was left alone again.
——
"Kalifa. Tell them to prepare two warships ready to depart. We will arrest criminals."
"Yes." Kalifa left the room; as a pro secretary, she took her job seriously.
Once she left, Shun took out his dendenmushi and dialed someone.
Bere, bere, bere, bere.
Gotcha.
"Oh, what does the great Fleet Admiral want from a humble shop owner?" A teasing voice was heard as the dendenmushi mimicked her smile.
"I want information on human shops and slave traders and auctions."
On the other side, a sound of book pages changing rapidly was heard.
"Your words yesterday caused quite a chaos; the cowardly ones already left the business. But… there's one auction that is currently already happening."
"Really?" Shun was a bit offended.
"Yeah, because the guests this time are a bit special, they couldn't cancel it."
"Special? How many?"
"Three."
"Which grove?"
"Grove 1. They're apparently the Donquixote family's human shop."
"I see. Thanks."
Gotcha.
Shun cut the call before Shakky started asking for a crazy amount of money.
"We'll go too."
"Yes!"
——
On Sabaody Archipelago, Grove 1, Human Shop.
"Now then, today's main dish!"
"Lot 47! A rarity from the Long Arm tribes, scout-bred, silent as smoke." He gestures. The woman stands motionless, manacles glinting, her arms draped in an unnatural, languid grace that reaches past her knees. Her eyes are flat obsidian.
"See the reach? She can pick a pocket from across a crowded square." A harsh, theatrical laugh from the crowd. "Start the bidding at ten million belli!"
"Eleven million!"
"Twelve!"
"Twenty!" The crowd went wild, as the woman was a beauty.
"But the new Fleet Admiral is just talk, huh?"
"Yeah, all that big talk but the human shops are working just fine."
"Right? Hahaha." the crowd chatted loudly, making fun of the clown from yesterday.
"Fifty million!"
"Oh! Esteemed customer from the nobility section has raised the bid to fifty million! Is it the final offer? Selling for fifty million in three… two…"
"One billion."
"…"
"Ah, um. Unprecedented one-billion bid from our VIP section! There is no need to ask for more, but is there anyone else willing to bid for more?"
The host was caught off guard at first but then got a hold of his emotions and turned professional immediately.
"No way, anyone else got more money to bid now?"
"Even if they did, who would dare to bid more against them?"
The crowd whispered to themselves as they stole glances at the VIP section.
There sat three figures in white clothes; the most unique feature of them was that they all wore glass helmets that shielded them from breathing the same air as low humans.
Their names were Saint Charlos, Saint Roswaal, and Saint Shalria.
Six Cipher Pol members in black clothes stood guard around them.
"If there is no more bid, selling in three… two…"
Just when the decision was about to be finalized. A man's loud voice was heard.
"One billion…"
"And one belli."
"W-Who is that guy?!"
"Is he a country bumpkin?!!"
When they turned their heads they saw a guy with a white fox mask, sitting between two beautiful women.
"…"
"H-Hey, do you know what you just did?" A man from a neighboring seat tried to remind him, but…
"Two billion!" Another bid was shouted from the VIP section, but before the host could process it…
It happened Again…
"Two billion and…"
"one belli."
The VIP, Saint Charlos, couldn't hold himself back anymore. He turned to the impudent guy who dared to bid against him.
However, as soon as he saw the two women, his priority changed.
"Oi! Catch those women and kill the guy." Saint Charlos was done playing house with lowly humans. He yielded once and raised it to two billion, but the other party didn't read the room.
When the Cipher Pol members got closer, a command was given to the blonde woman.
"Kalifa. Kill them."
"…Yes." She was stressed lately, anyway.
"Soru." Among the Cipher Pols, she was a top-tier talent. Those low-ranking members weren't a match for her.
"Shigan." Kalifa just spammed Soru and Shigan and took the lives of six Cipher Pol members.
'Is she taking her anger out on them?'
"Good job." Shun decided to end the charade and took his mask off.
"No problem." Kalifa said coolly and fixed her glasses, but inwardly she was very proud.
'Yeah, I'm actually a top-tier if I'm not fighting monsters.'
"H-He is?!"
"It's the new Fleet Admiral!!"
"It's the dictator, run!!"
The crowd ran like their lives depended on it.
However, as soon as they ran outside, they realized they had long been surrounded by the Marines.
"Arrest them all and put them in Impel Down for three years. Don't bother with trials."
"Y-Yes!" The Marines were nervous since they were all wealthy individuals, most of them nobles.
Meanwhile, the three Celestial Dragons were confused by all the commotion. It wasn't what they were used to.
"Oi, Marines. Arrest that guy, call an Admiral."
"…"
"You worm, messed with the wrong guy. Do you know who I am?"
POP-! POP-! POP-!
"…"
"No point in talking to idiots." Shun sent them to Marineford to sell them to the Five Elders later.
"Anyways, arrest everyone. If they resist, kill them; if there's someone stronger that you can't defeat, shoot the signal into the sky."
"Y-Yes."
'Sigh, the boring part is finally over.'
"Kalifa. Did you prepare what I asked?"
"Yes."
Kalifa pulled an Eternal Pose from her bosom.
"Thanks." Shun said, then couldn't hold himself back from taking a sniff.
"!"
Kalifa and Hibari's cheeks blushed, but they didn't say anything. If they said something, it would backfire at them during their next wrestling.
Hibari decided to change the topic.
"Shun-san, are you really going to put them in prison?"
"Yes. This is their first offense, so if they pay a hundred million each, they can get out once. But if they do it again, they'll be executed on the spot. As for those Celestial Dragons, the bail money will be a thousand times more depending on the negotiations."
"…"
"I was planning to go to Dressrosa today, but… it's more boring than I expected; let's return."
"Okay." Aside from Hibari, Kalifa had to follow Shun everywhere because she had nowhere else to go.
'I was surprised when I found her sleeping in my office the other day.'
"Stay close to me, I'll teleport us."
POP-!
——
Shun and his secretaries didn't return to the office. Instead, they went to Shiki's island.
"I guess it's about time to decorate and make this place our home."
'I would've preferred Shiki's flying ships but… they were all destroyed in the Shiki incident. Only Shiki's main island and surrounding islands remained.
"This place is called the Merveille Archipelago. It's rumored to be floated into the sky by the legendary pirate Shiki more than two decades ago." Kalifa explained as she fixed her glasses.
"…"
'This girl is a natural-born secretary, or whatever it's called.'
"The primary structure is an immense, traditional eastern palace featuring sliding shoji doors and grand tatami mat reception halls. Inside was surprisingly high-level technology and medical rooms. But once Shiki was defeated, the people of the island escaped to the Sabaody Archipelago."
"Thanks for explaining." Shun patted Kalifa's backside to encourage her.
"…"
Hibari stood silent awkwardly; they were both secretaries, but Shun hadn't given her any duties.
"Hibari, since you're a beginner, watch and learn from Kalifa. Kalifa, too, teach her the basics and the tricks you know."
"Yes." X2
'They both agreed, but they only met a day ago; seems like I have to do something to help them bond.'
"Let's explore and choose our rooms." Shun's words for the first time sounded exciting for Kalifa.
They wandered around, but most rooms were similar; Shun took Shiki's room after sanitizing it and removing the scents. Hibari chose a room next to Shun's, while Kalifa wanted to pick a room far from Shun but was forced to pick the room next to them.
The rooms were big but simple with Japanese-style tatami and futon beds.
"Oh? This brings back memories…" Shun muttered when they entered a huge room that resembled a throne room, but in an ancient style.
'In the movie, the Straw Hat Pirates pulled up here with guns and bombed Shiki's trash crew.'
Shun sanitized the room and got rid of the scents with magic again and took a seat on a red, pillow-like seat.
After taking a seat, Shun patted his lap.
"…"
Though hesitant, the two ended up on his lap.
Shun's hand immediately got busy as he explored their bodies at the same time.
Just when things were getting heated…
Bere, bere, bere, bere.
"…"
"Should I answer?" Kalifa asked.
Though a bit annoyed, Shun nodded.
Kalifa took the dendenmushi call and held the transceiver to Shun's mouth.
"Oi! What do you think you are doing by arresting Celestial Dragons?! Where are they now?!" As always, it was the Five Elders.
"If you want them back, double the Navy funds, or I'll put them in Impel Down. If you don't agree with it, just cut the call; I'm tired of talking with you guys."
"…"
The Five Elders seethed with anger but didn't end the call.
"7.5 trillion a year! Nothing more than that!"
"!"
Kalifa was shocked by the notorious Five Elders actually going with Shun's demand, but she didn't make a single noise. She was a pro.
"Ten."
"Eight!!"
"Ten."
"Eight and a quarter."
"Ten."
"…"
Both parties turned silent.
"I think you still haven't woken up to the reality. The World Government are no longer the rulers of the world; they need the navy that belongs to me."
"!"
Crash-!
Something broke on the other side of the call, but Shun didn't care.
"I'll end the call in five if I don't get the answer I wanted."
The Five Elders went to visit their master yesterday, right after Shun's official promotion. They asked for help, but… what they were told was…
[If the Marines desire gold, grant it unto them.]
Even so, they tried to haggle it down because of their pride, but…
"Five, four, three, two—"
"Send the three Celestial Dragons safely first!"
"…"
"Okay. They'll drop in Sabaody Grove 1 in ten hours from now." Shun had them fly and circle around the world. He could decide when and where they would fall.
Gotcha.
The call was cut.
"…Let's eat something, hearing that annoying voice kind of ruined the mood." Shun said and got up to search for a kitchen.
"…"
Seeing Shun's mood change and leaving feeling down, the two couldn't help but let out a laugh.
"Fufu~"
"Heh, he deserves it." While Hibari smiled cheerfully, Kalifa's smile was full of grudge.
"Um, please take care of me from now… Kalifa-san."
"Eh? You don't have to be so polite; you are the senpai in this place."
"No, as a secretary you are far more experienced…"
Shun was still planning, but he unintentionally already helped them bond.
After an hour, the group ate SHFC and went to sleep without any fun time, because Shun was still irritated by getting calls from old men every day.
'Hold back until the Reverie.' Shun repeatedly reminded himself.
——
Next day.
"You guys go to my office and start without me. I'll come back after a few hours. You can decide everything on your own, just make sure it won't harm my reputation." Shun gave them the Fleet Admiral authority.
Kalifa might've tried something if she didn't understand Shun's personality after the Kong incident.
"Okay." Kalifa didn't trust him to join later at all, but replied anyway.
After seeing them off, Shun finally got some time for himself. So, he immediately went to the original plan he came to this world for.
"Welcome back." Baccarat greeted as she came to greet Shun on the Gran Tesoro, as always.
'How does this girl keep noticing me before I arrive lately? Is she awakening Observation Haki?'
"Baccarat. Give me as much luck as you can." Seeing Shun's mood seemed tense, Baccarat immediately went to buy luck from the gamblers. Though she was buying, the gamblers would give it back in less than an hour after losing on the games.
Baccarat was efficient, or more like the gamblers were desperate to sell their luck to gamble more. In less than an hour, Baccarat returned.
"It's twenty people's worth of luck."
"Twenty? It's increased again; good job." Shun patted her head.
'Baccarat is my trump card; if she by any chance awakens her ability and increases my luck with a hundred or even a thousand people's worth of luck, I'll spam my random teleportation that allows me to teleport to a place I've never been to. With enough luck, I might just find myself in Hitogami's void realm.'
Though it sounded ridiculous, this was the only clue he had now.
"Thanks. I'll go now."
"Yes." Baccarat pecked Shun on the lips.
With his luck increased, Shun spoke loudly, as if talking to his own luck.
"Hmm, it'd be really lucky if I meet the last boss of this new world right away." Shun said, then closed his eyes and used his ability that he hadn't used in a long time: the world-hopping teleportation.
POP-!
"…"
When Shun opened his eyes again, he found himself in an endless, swirling expanse of white world.
