Chapter 433 - Chapter 433: Outer Perimeter of the Temple

Chapter 433: Outer Perimeter of the Temple

The moment he stepped into the Skysea region,

the Holy Lord felt himself enveloped by a thick, fluid-like essence—pure magic energy.

Not demonic energy in the traditional sense, but a completely attribute-less, raw source of magical power.

In the ancient world,

places this rich in magical essence were extremely rare—prized lands over which demons fought viciously.

And now, he had stumbled into such a place by sheer chance?

If this was one of Jackie Chan's schemes, how had they even found a place so overflowing with magic?

Something felt wrong…

Could this truly be another world?

The Holy Lord's original world was called Azure Blue Star by humans,

but to demons like him, it was better known as the Demon Realm.

It contained numerous subspaces—like the Panku Prison where he had once been sealed, or the Moon, or the Mirror World.

All these places held unique energy signatures.

As a former demonic sorcerer who once ruled the world, he had visited them all.

Yet none had ever radiated such overwhelming magical essence.

His world was a peak Tier-2 realm, barely brushing against Tier-3.

Most of its origin energy was bound within demon lords like himself or powerful artifacts like the Shadow Masks.

But the Skysea…

Here, the origin energy formed literal oceans, drifting in the skies above, dense enough to birth countless magical constructs.

Its true source was the Demonic Realm.

Twelve Apostles, the once-prosperous planet Terra, planet-shattering magic,

supreme demon kings like Khan, the Plague Lord, Dragons…

All capable of destroying worlds.

It was a fully-fledged Tier-4 world.

Whether in energy purity or power level, it vastly outclassed the Demon Realm.

"Let's test this then, Jackie Chan!"

Still fuming over the interruption of his resurrection ritual, the Holy Lord was seething with rage.

Over the millennia, he'd never bothered to remember the names of human ants—

but that name, Jackie Chan, was now branded in his soul.

He would never forget it.

The nobleman's possessed body scaled a colossal wall,

carved with ancient script and sacred reliefs depicting the once-glorious temple and murals of GBL cult followers.

"Honored noble, do you have faith?"

Two robed figures blocked his path.

Their faces were hidden behind bronze masks, inlaid with coarse crystals that resembled clusters of bloodshot eyes.

"Die, Jackie Chan!"

The Holy Lord raised his hand and launched a fireball.

He was the legendary fire demon who once ruled the earth.

His flames weren't mere tricks like the Mera-Mera Fruit of the One Piece world.

They were brutal, wicked flames infused with demonic essence.

In an instant—

the two GBL followers were consumed. Their robes incinerated.

From beneath, writhing tentacles steamed under the fire, evaporating the moist sea-infused energies they carried.

A glow of level-up energy burst from the nobleman's body.

Crack.

The bronze dragon disc—dragged along by a rope behind the noble—let out a faint tearing sound,

like a layer of wall paint peeling off.

The noble's eyes widened in shock,

as if he had glimpsed something reality-shattering.

"My power… it's growing stronger?"

The Holy Lord looked down at the statue—his true form, sealed in the bronze dragon sculpture.

A tiny, almost imperceptible crack had appeared.

To an ordinary person, leveling up increased strength exponentially.

But to the Holy Lord?

It was barely a feather's weight.

Yet even that microscopic boost left him stunned.

"From the dawn of time, demons were the world's most powerful beings.

We were born dominant—there was no need to grow."

Demons were a unique lifeform.

Unlike humans, they didn't train or cultivate—they devoured to grow.

Take the Demon Baby Dragon: it grew stronger by absorbing other demons' essence.

But even that method had its limits.

Despite ruling the world for ages, the Holy Lord had never grown stronger through devouring.

His strength had peaked.

The world itself had shackled his growth.

But now—

that shackle had been broken.

So easily.

Just by killing two small fry…

"The Reincarnation Game…"

Red light flickered in the Holy Lord's eyes.

He pressed deeper into the temple ruins.

Soon,

he encountered two tall figures in black and white cleric robes.

"Sir, we are priests of the GBL faith.

You killed our followers. You must atone."

They stood side by side, ornate brass masks fixed toward him.

Though hidden, he could feel the searing gaze and murderous intent behind them.

"Die, you puppets!

How dare you try to block my path!"

Flames surged wildly.

Even sealed, the Holy Lord could tell this temple was long defiled.

Its followers were puppets of something else.

He could feel it—

some hidden lifeform manipulating from the shadows.

He was flame. They were water.

The natural opposition enraged him.

"Our master will judge you!"

The priest and bishop erupted in black and white light.

Countless elemental auras bloomed like flowers.

Out of that radiant sea came dozens of elemental creatures.

[Revos Lv.40]

[Sermentec Lv.41]

The creatures swarmed the Holy Lord like moss,

clinging to him—paralytic lightning, corrosive darkness constantly gnawing at him.

Snap!

The possessed noble was devoured almost instantly—nothing left but ash.

BOOM!

Waves of demonic fire burst from the dragon statue,

like lava erupting from a volcano.

Then—

two enormous flaming hands tore the elemental beasts apart and seized the priest and bishop.

"You destroyed my puppet?

Then you will become my next ones!"

The dragon head statue glowed ominously.

Its demonic eyes radiated a crushing psychic pressure.

Crack.

The spiritual marks left by some mysterious Skysea being shattered.

In their place,

the fire demon's brand took hold.

"Hmph."

The Holy Lord tore off the brass masks,

revealing his now fully-demonized face.

He burned away the sticky tentacles wrapping his body.

But… his voice was tired.

Wiping the spiritual brand left behind by the temple's true controller had cost more than expected.

It seemed whoever had been manipulating the GBL cult matched his own power—

though clearly limited in some way.

If he could find and kill that being…

By the rules of the Reincarnation Game, wouldn't he fully recover?
