Chapter 427 - DSMW [427]

She had exposed a flaw in the strangest possible place: Her skirt flipping up, and the deck case strapped to her thigh made "Dark Aisha's" expression extremely amusing.

"Strapping a deck box to your thigh… what a shameless, indecent practice!"

"You're the shameless one. If you're imitating Aisha, then what are you supposed to be?"

Since there was no path forward in this space, the only breakthrough point had to be the "person" standing before them.

The one in front of Miles and Kaima, who looked exactly like Aisha, was obviously an anomaly created within the obelisk tower.

"So she is a fake…"

Little Kaima, late to process things, only realized the truth when the skirt lifted and the deck case was exposed.

"And you still hugged her so tightly, even knowing she was fake?"

"Please! The one being hugged was me!"

Even if she was an imposter, the resemblance was flawless.

Even Miles, who had spent the most time with Dark Aisha, hadn't noticed a single physical discrepancy during that first embrace.

She had captured Aisha's essence perfectly.

Or rather… this was something beyond imitation.

"This isn't imitation at all."

The girl twirled once gracefully, showing off a perfectly flat yet utterly flawless young body.

"I am 100% pure, perfectly adorable Carlos. If you don't believe me, feel free to check me anywhere. Socks off is fine too."

"Aisha would never say something like that."

Even after being exposed, she insisted she was Aisha Carlos—yet, her attitude made it obvious she'd given up pretending.

"I am Carlos. At least…"

She lifted a slender finger to her chest, her clear eyes fixed on Miles.

"At least this ideological body is the genuine body of Aisha Carlos."

"Possession?"

Miles's guess was quickly surpassing mimicry.

She indeed had no idea about the deck case on Aisha's thigh—yet the case appeared perfectly replicated.

That level of reproduction suggested copying or possession, not imitation.

And considering she also claimed the body was truly Aisha's—Dark Aisha's consciousness must have entered the tower with Miles and Kaima… but before meeting Miles, she'd been ambushed by some unknown entity.

"Get out."

Having pieced everything together, Miles snapped open his Duel Disk with a sharp mechanical click, anger rising in his eyes.

"I don't know who—or what—you are. But if you don't get out of Aisha's body right now, things will get very ugly."

"Woooow, so scary~"

She pretended to retreat in fear, stepping back several paces.

Just enough to establish dueling distance.

"I can tell—you really care about Aisha Carlos. Big points for that~"

Spirit Eyes gleamed, tension erupting between them.

"Although I lied about many things… one thing I said was true. I am Carlos."

"You're also a Carlos?"

"I happened to notice a descendant's body lying around, so I borrowed it for a bit. Consider me a slightly spoiled ancestor—Yuna Carlos~"

"Yuna…?!"

A name more familiar than any other.

No—NOT knowing this name would've been strange.

Aisha Carlos's full name was Aisha Yuna Carlos.

According to Aisha, as the last duelist of the old Carlos family, her parents had placed the ancestor's name "Yuna" in her own as a symbol of expectation.

Informally, she went by Aisha Carlos—but officially, she was always written as Aisha Yuna Carlos.

And the reason behind the name "Yuna" was something even Aisha herself didn't fully understand.

However, now, the legendary ancestor of the Carlos family—Yuna—was standing here, possessing Aisha's body.

Inside the obelisk tower.

Before Miles in person.

Astonishing… yet somehow not unbelievable.

Aisha had summoned the Millennium Puzzle and even The Winged Dragon of Ra.

Then an ancestor appearing inside this sealed tower… wasn't so strange after all.

Not to mention, the Pharaoh had addressed Aisha as "Yuna" during their meeting behind the mountain, as though speaking to an old acquaintance.

All signs pointed toward the Carlos lineage being deeply tied to ancient Egyptian power.

Yuna sighed. "Still… seeing my descendant strapping a deck box to her thigh is… complicated for me as an ancestor. Isn't there any other way to look feminine?"

Despite her conflicted feelings, Yuna Carlos lifted her skirt and retrieved Dark Aisha's Deck from the thigh-mounted deck case.

"You're not using your own Deck?" Miles asked.

"Given the circumstances, I can't. That said, it's a rare chance. Trying my descendant's Deck sounds fun~"

Without even glancing through the cards, she confidently loaded the Deck into the Duel Disk.

Little Kaima watched with pity and whispered, "I don't think that's gonna be fun at all…"

"Come, Miles. If you defeat me, I'll tell you the direction of the man inside the tower who holds the Obelisk."

"Don't go back on that!"

[Miles, LP: 4000]

[Yuna Carlos, LP: 4000]

"Duel—!"

The duel began, with Yuna taking the first turn.

"My turn—draw!"

Excited, Yuna drew her card and eagerly checked her descendant's Deck.

"…Huh?"

Exactly as Miles and Kaima had predicted.

Yuna Carlos froze in disbelief at her opening hand.

"(;゚Д゚) Huh? Huh?? HUH!? What is this hand!? No… what is this DECK!? Can this even be called a Deck!?"

Holding a handful of ridiculously useless scrub monsters, the ancestor Yuna fell into deep questioning.

Was something wrong with her?

Or was something wrong with her descendant?

With this hand, undoubtedly, one of them was not normal.

"Um… can we start over?"

"Sure. You can surrender and lose half."
