Its Fusion Materials were merely two DARK monsters.
But the presence of [Starving Venom Fusion Dragon] itself—rather than "awakening the hidden potential of weak monsters"—was more like something from an entirely different dimension, a power that had totally transcended the limits of its materials.
This kind of Fusion Summon resembled summoning First of the Dragons, or the underworld dragon, Five-Headed Dragon's dark variant.
More than the Materials required, the Duelist's spiritual threshold mattered far more.
In essence, either your Deck already contained this card, or you had the ability to print it directly into existence.

"Heh-heh-heh… Starving Venom Fusion Dragon's Attack isn't just 2800!"
One hand on her hip, the other thrust forward, Yuna declared Starving Venom's effect.
"When it's Fusion Summoned using only monsters on the field, Starving Venom can absorb the Attack of all Special Summoned monsters you control!"

Countless purple beams shot out from Starving Venom's body, spreading across the field and covering both Blue-Eyes monsters and the Dictator of D.

Yuna immediately declared the Battle Phase. The toxin dragon's bloodthirsty gaze locked onto the voluptuous Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon, whose figure even surpassed Aisha.

Facing a Fusion Dragon with nearly ten thousand Attack, the one stepping forward to save the field wasn't a Blue-Eyes, but the third monster.

Albeit since the redirected attack struck a Defense Position monster—and Starving Venom lacked piercing damage—no matter how massive the Attack, it couldn't reduce his Life Points at all.

Little Kaima exhaled in relief, clutching her chest. The pressure of Starving Venom's temporary ten‑thousand Attack had almost made her forget to breathe.

Miles drew to begin his turn. His eyes swept across his hand—specifically the Level 8 Dragon he added last turn via Abyss Dragon's effect.
With the Ritual Spell already in his hand, Kaima naturally assumed that Level 8 monster was Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon.
However, at the last End Phase, Miles had chosen a different path.
Among the pure-white-dragon cards, only he could see the shimmering galaxy light shining on the surface of that card.
"I reveal [Blue-Eyes White Dragon] in my hand to Special Summon [Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon]!"

Miles almost heard the voice of the mysterious girl who had guided him to summon Blue-Eyes before.
"A dragon of Fusion Dimension? Then I'll surpass it with a galaxy from the Xyz Dimension! I activate the effect of [Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon] in my hand!"
